    A) Eze+Fode > Rodrigo+Son

And I can't see Kulu being being sent to the bench and the new singing Solomon did well down the left so too many variables here.

I think best case scenario would be to have Maddison and wait and see what happens with Son?

I am definitely doubling up on Spurs attack from GW8 but the unknown is Johnson.

Don’t think Solomon is a factor, went there on a free, seems like a squad player.

Johnson Son Kuluveski the front 3?

Son won the Golden Boot not playing as a 9 so why does it matter? Only worry should be if he’s back as that player he was before last season.

Big Ange's system has the wide forwards playing very wide to stretch the game so that midfield runners can run into the gaps. Son is only an option for me if he is playing CF

I have same exact mid and forward (but Rashy instead of Sterling).

Similar situation. Jesus is probably the next bandwagon and I’m looking to jump on before others. Son looks quite tempting too.

      I’m leaning JUST towards C.

I’ve seen enough of Jackson to not expect 1 goal at most, if in good form lol. Jesus will be reliable with good fixtures coming up. I’m hoping he’s taken sometime for shooting practice lol.

Has anyone started looking at 3-4-3's yet?

Its viable now imo, with for example:

    Haaland - Alvarez - Jesus

That's probably my pick for a front line, but there are many other options, like Awoniyi you can choose from. If I was wildcarding, I think I would go 3-4-3.

    1. Sir Michael Taker

Too many teams where I'd rather own the midfielder than the striker. Diaby over Watkins, Sterling over Jackson, Saka over Jesus etc I'm genuinely struggling to find 2 strikers I want to own never mind 3. But it is viable for sure.

Not doing it, but this would be my wc team with that front 3 (the defence and keepers would be subject to change though):

        Ederson
        Trippier - Chilwell - Udogie
        Saka - Son - Maddison - Mbeumo
        Haaland - Alavarez - Jesus

I'd pick Alvarez over most 6.5 mids like Diaby, mainly because he plays for City and more chances.

I’m thinking about it as I can do it without wildcard.

      Johnstone
      Chilwell - AKanji - Udogie
      Bruno - Maddison - Saka - Rashford
      Haaland - Alvarez - Awoniyi

      Turner - Saliba - Danjuma - Cash

I would probably only switch to 3 for Awoniyi. Jesus is more explosive but Awoniyi seems to be more consistent. Already own Alvarez so going 3 up top not to much of a gamble

Its a risk you just have to take unfortunately, pretty much the same for all cheap forwards. Broja will be back soon, so he could pose a threat to Jacksons minutes. You have Archer so he can cover a no show.

Jesus is ofc going to be pretty nailed, but thats alot more cash.

Something potentially worth considering re: Son in terms next game

Burnley's average defensive line so far is the 4th highest in the division while Sheff Utd ranks 18th lowest in the division, with over 10 yards average between the two teams.

So you have quite different ways chances have been conceded by both teams. Burnley have conceded the 4th most through balls per game in the league, Sheff Utd the 16th most. I

    Son tends to perform better

Clicked submit too early. But was going to add that Sheff Utd's weaknesses are crosses so far. 4 of the 7 goals conceded have been through headers, they rank 2nd for most crosses conceded vs. Burnley 17th. With Sheff Utd having the lowest aerial success rate in the league, this has been the key to scoring.

Was just making the point that the conditions that allow Son to thrive may be slightly different next game - still clearly a very good option though.

        Soooo don’t get him?

In all seriousness, good analysis. I just watched the highlights. Those chances won’t be given to him every week. If you look at the finishes, he was given miles of space for all goals and even had a couple touches before finishing. Will struggle vs low block defences and just higher quality defenders from top 10 teams

I will probably get him still

Just interesting the SHU goals conceded have been slightly different to Burnley (both NFO goals = headers, Haaland = header, Doucoure = shot following a header from a corner). Just really poor in the air so far - less than 38% aerial duels success rate!

A bit like Sterling v Luton. Lightly marked. But himself and Son have PL pedigree. They should be consistently good this season against all levels of defenders. 4 games though isn't enough gametime to assess form.

FPL put up a post earlier saying that the most transferred in player in each week so far has blanked (Chilwell GW2 - 1pt; Mbeumo GW3 - 2pts; Sterling GW4 - 2pts). Son is leading GW5 transfers in 😛

But in direct response to your post, I agree. Maddison probably more of a direct threat from setpieces here, but Burnley have looked very poor overall. They were bound to suit teams like Villa (who should have scored 5/6 against them too) and Spurs who are happy to counter. Sheffield Utd are still pretty poor though and the only strong attacking team they've faced so far was City (conceding 3.5xG, but only 2 goals with a big help from Haaland's wastefulness), not looking good for them

    Thought on this WC team?

    Sanchez, Areola
    Chilwell, Estupinan, Udogie, Cash, Baldock
    Salah, Rashford, Saka, Mbeumo, Eze
    Haaland, Ferguson, Archer

    0.3 ITB.

Previous team did not have any major problems but I just got bored of it and having Salah as a differential is too tempting.

    DAMN U INTL BREAK

    A) Jackson > Alvarez

    B) Jackson > Jesus (tasty differential)

    C) Jackson + Foden > Alvarez + son (-4)

Does anyone know how well March got on at the weekend?

    Vicario Turner
    Chilwell Disasi Estupinan Baldock Bell
    Salah Saka Diaz Bowen Ahamada
    Haaland Alvarez Archer

Very likely that I will be doing Ahamada to Johnson. Could be a massive differential and at 5.9m, what can go wrong? Then decide who from Diaz or Bowen to Maddison or Son from GW8.

Don't want to get rid of Diaz or Bowen right now as they are not highly owned and need differentials!

Your team is not that template so I don't think you need to keep differentials!

      I'd fancy Bowen to Maddison.

At least I have three GW's to ship out double CHE defence when their fixtures turn rotten. Who would have thought that a dirt cheap defence was going to be the in thing this season.

Yeah stones and Gabriel really broke the defense template there just as the cheap picks started to shine

would probably avoid the Brentford double up although they're both doing amazing

not a big fan of Pickford but Everton defense might improve

yea, exactly my thoughts. Was thinking Wissa>Alvarez this week.

Keeper situation needs sorting sometime, when a good option emerges. Hoping Johnstone starts tbh.

Gabriel in against the tide, very nice.

Cash - will he play when Moreno returns to fitness is my only doubt.

Wed surely expect Fulham to win both those games

Got laughed at for mentioning Raul Jimenez on here yesterday

Still don't think it's that crazy that he finally scores against Luton at home. Looks like he's a target in some corner routines. Someone is going to step up with Mitro gone. Palhinha is staying. Marco Silva didn't suddenly become a bad manager

I think Palhinha's confidence will be at an all time low after how he was swung by the tail from Fulham on the last day of the transfer window. It was ridiculous what they did lol.
