yea he looks alright, close to entering my watch list, but mainly because there aren't many other Newcastle attackers we can really choose from due to nailedness.

I brought in Neto this week and got his 9points. How good is he to keep long term? He seems to be going under the radar right now, but whatever Wolves do comes through him...

Also, what are Benchwell's chances of starting games from now on, given Gusto's suspension and Chelsea losing yet another match to prove that whatever tf Poch is cooking up ain't working? Not that I want to keep any Chelsea player in my squad, but still?

    1. have you seen cyan
      • 6 Years

I got Neto as well. I'm not really sure what my plan with him is yet, kind of wait and see. I'm benching him vs City for a defender with a good fixture (Saliba).

However, he will be very useful if I want Salah, and I might want him for regular rotation with my defenders. So to sum up, he isn't going anywhere, but he may be on my bench every so often.

What’s the reason for signing Neto? Am I missing something? One goal in 16 months isn’t it? Not trying to be rude btw, genuinely asking

Defense is Botman, Gvardiol, Estupiñan, Gusto, Udogie. Midfield is Maddison, Rashford, Saka, Mitoma, Eze. £0.7M ITB, planning to WC next international break. Which option is best?

    (A) Eze > Diaby GW7, grin and bear it for GW8
    (B) Eze > Diaby GW7, Gusto > Tarkowski GW8 (I don't trust Everton, but...)
    (C) Eze > JWP GW7, Gusto > Cash GW8
    (D) Downgrade Rashford (for Bowen? Foden? Roll the transfer and downgrade for Neto GW8?) and pick whichever defender fits best by GW8

      1. DonaldDrapier
        • 6 Years

Having Haaland and Salah I can't really get the money, I have been very cheap with my defenders.

Estupinan seems to be in wildcard suggestions so yea, would be silly to sell him. I think I will just go from Chill to Burn (sic)

Burn is maybe overlooked. I am interested in Cash as well but he plays Brighton next when I need a starter so not yet.

  18. Qaiss

Still early days but I don’t know if it will be essential to own Salah come GW9. I can’t see many weeks where he’s the easy captain, yet the noise for weeks has been that he’s a must own

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

Just because a player isn't "essential" doesn't mean that they're pointless to own. There are loads of players that aren't or weren't looked at very favourably here but are ticking along excellently for me for example (like Palace's Andersen). Don't mind the herd

      1. Qaiss
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

I don’t follow the herd, I wildcarded in GW4 players like Son, Darwin, Diaby and Cash

I’m just wondering whether Salah will be a MUST own. But with Haaland in the game (basically Messi), I’m not currently convinced

        1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years
          2 years, 2 months ago

Haaland effectively reduces every team to 10/14 players so I wouldn't even consider his significance in the equation. I've only captained him twice and have been burned on 3 of the other 4 times I didn't. I'm pretty fine taking the risk but the vast majority won't bother given what he's capable of and given most other players aren't returning anything significantly higher than what he's getting when he is outscored by players that are captain material.

As much as Rashford is stinking out my team, he is at home to Palace next, meanwhile Son is at home to Pool. So I don't recommend that move this week.

Chilwell, you don't need to make that move yet as Cash can cover a no show.

Thinking I might do Alisson & Chilly > Leno & Tripp, unless anyone has any better options. Would quite like a route to Mo by 9, but I can't see it.

Rash is probably in the last chance saloon, but I can't ditch him before home games against Palace & Brentford
Gusto can wait a week to become Beyer or Lamptey and sit 3rd bench forever.
