    Had Leno in when I said "pens down" someone replied Flekken v Everton, made the switch. Wanted to keep Watkins all week but a barrage of comments lead me to believe I was doing something wrong, yes it's my fault for listening but that's why we use these forums right, to bounce ideas.

    At least we recovered and gained a green arrow this week. So all is well and my team is set up nicely for next week;

        It's more that in my head I was telling myself to stick to my guns. I had 2 FTs. I could've easily done Martinelli, Rashford and Mubama to Maddison, JWP & Alvarez for a -4.

        Then I could've WC in GW9 and loaded up on NEW & LIV, you're right though, you don't WC for one week and I like my team. I can roll my FT this week irrespective of Gusto's red card and do Trippier > Burn and one of Doku, Diaby or Mbeumo > Maddison for GW8 for free.

      WC is a used with multiple GWs in mind, not one. So don't worry unless you feel like you're set up poorly for future weeks

        I was weighing up Trippier & Doku/Diaby/Mbeumo > Burn/Maddison for free in GW8 as I can roll this weeks FT. I did take a punt this week on Doku what with City's injuries and the fact they were playing NFO, but Rodri lost his marbles.

      Look at long term fixtures, not game week to game week scores. OK, you may have lost out on points this week by selling players who scored well (like Watkins, Onana, Burn and Walker) but they may all blank in game week 7. Worse yet, they may not play at all. Wildcard transfers should be decided on a long - term basis, like 6-9 game weeks. Look at the fixtures and pick those players who you think will score more points kong term.

        I think Watkins will have a great season, just his price point plus Alvarez, plus Haaland, plus Salah just weakened the side a bit too much (I was actually going to go without Salah - but saw how low his EO was around my rank).

      I'd say Cash, but only just. Trippier has a high ceiling but is a rotation risk now Newcastle have Livramento. Walker will share minutes with Stones when fit. Plus Burn doesn't carry the same attacking threat as Cash.

            I've transferred a lot of players out early in past seasons, so I guess I've learned some patience. Not to say impulsive transfers can't work, they definitely can.

      Newcastle are likely to get more clean sheets than Villa. As for the advantage over Burn, it's fine margins. More managers own Botman, so you are less likely to lose rank if he hauls. However, owning Burn as a differential can reap rewards if he hauls. Botman is more of a safe bet whereas Burn is more of a gamble.

      Yea I'm not sure about Botman over Cash. Cash is ofc far more attacking, and I am not sure I want any defensive double up. They wont play blades every week.
