Surely we should strive to maintain 11 vs 11. Not the opposite which is what seems to be happening.

Considering the first yellow was very soft, and the fact it’s a derby, he could have very easily given him a final warning. He’d backed himself into a corner with a poor decision, so he had no choice but to double down.

First yellows often are soft. The second one was a yellow card all day long. If you're on a yellow, you don't make a daft tackle like that.

He shouldn’t have been on a yellow in the first place, but yeah going to ground was stupid.

Pawson’s been swayed by the crowd completely there, while Tsimikas is making similar fouls and going unpunished. Poor officiating and ruined a top fixture after 30 mins.

Tbf Young played the ball away on purpose just minutes beforehand, that's a yellow by the book. I think is harsh to give red though.

Players need to learn the consequences of their actions

Young is an experienced player and he’s going in like that. Sorry, I know footballers are not known for their intelligence but you get some real stupidity out there and it’s punished

It was only a foul. Every foul shouldn't equal a yellow card. So many games are ruined by red cards now. To get removed from the game you need to have done something serious in my opinion.

When you have an Argentinian Copa America & World Cup winner playing for the Champions League winners and the best and most attacking team in the PL for the last 5 years and is on some set pieces and is routinely praised by Pep ... and he is priced at 6.5 million ... then you simply put him in your starting 11 and leave him there

They should add a orange card to the game, so then u can give yellows for all the minor fouls like shirt pulling or dissent or kicking the ball away and then u need 3 yellows to be sent off.

Orange would be for the more blatant fouls, stoping goal scoring chances and the mistimed tackles like what young just got his second one for and not quite reds and its a final warning another orange or yellow and ur off

And then keep the red cards as they are.

This issue is obviously the consistency and that is likely to mean this wouldnt work out

    1. Feanor
      • 16 Years
      2 years, 4 months ago

What they should do is make any player who gets a yellow run a lap of the field before they can rejoin play. This would put their team down to 10 men for a minute or two, and serve as a proper disincentive for professional fouls.

    2. F4L
      • 11 Years

I didn't love it, didn't hate it either mind. Maybe I just expected something a bit closer to the book, no problem with them changing the viewpoint but still felt it lacked in a lot of places. But lots of people love it and think it's amazing. Maybe I just need to stop reading books because my expectations and hopes in adaptations are never matched 😛 and thanks! Hope your weekend goes well too

Hopefully films like that can jolts people out of their collective will to forget that the present is messed up because the past is still to be resolved.

Spot on. Insert history repeating itself aphorism.

Yeah. I mean even if the movie doesn't represent it as much as I'd hope, it brings it to light and will encourage some to read up on it. Funnily enough before I headed out to it yesterday my other half was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and was doing a mission regarding the erasure of Native American tribes so she showed an interest in it too

And he’s married… the job plot thickens.

(Sorry, assuming marriage for attempted comic effect)

          Nah, it's (including discount);

£10,880 a year for TNT Sports alone (including VAT)
£10,382 a year for Sky Sports alone (including VAT)

          I can't justify that.

Both are those at maxed out discounts for my site.

Plenty of time left for him to get a penalty and Pickford to save it.

Yeah I've watched every ball and called the 400 early on.

I honestly didn’t think 400. More like 340-350 with Klassen struggling and Jensen on other end.

It was more that they were in and had the perfect set up and overs remaining. Maybe I just watch too much cricket.
