    When a player gets suspended say for breaching betting rules, does the club still pay him per full contract do you think? Might there be something contract wise or in the club disciplinary policy? As wrong it feels, I could understand it if the club suspend the player then they may still have to honour the contractual terms until resolved but wondered e.g. what happens when its the governing body who do and its for of the field shennanigans.

      I was wondering as well. Newcastle must be raging right now. But, its the players fault, not his previous clubs, that's the complicated part. You'd assume there is something in his contract saying if he gets suspended for something like this, then his wages take a hit or something.

        Outscoring for now. Over the season I'd be very surprised if there is much between them. Maddisons stats and quality plus Tottenhams quality makes him a bit immune to short purple patches. Watkins historically has his purple patches and then has average games for long stints

            If you think Watkins will maintain 7.8 for the season then good luck to you. Would make him the highest fpl scorer maybe of all time. I will eat humble pie it if so 🙂

            Maddison will maintain 5.7 and Watkins will drop to that region too over the season. So for me it wasn't worth the hit to swap
