2FT, thinking about downgrading Haaland to Nketiah/Darwin and Burn to Trippier for the tougher run of City fixtures

Which move to free up the cash to do Alvarez to Nunez?

    Sanchez to Stashoka
    Pinnock to Taylor

Both of those players are on my bench currently. Or just hold Alvarez?

Everything he said was correct. This kind of decisions shouldn’t be happen at this level. You cannot call the English league the best league in the world when the officiating is ridiculous.

Nothing he said was correct though.

Ball was still in (or certainly no conclusive evidence it was out).
Nothing to confirm or deny Gordon was offside - so stayed with on pitch decision (as it should).
Debate whether it was a foul or not, but it isn't a clear and obvious error or 100% definitely a foul - so again, correctly, VAR didn't intervene.

Arteta's response was just to try and deflect from some very poor Arsenal defending and their toothless attacking display. Which has worked.

Admittedly he's not been much of a goal-threat, but he's still a great player and dangerous when he's dribbling at players as we saw v EVE.

Selling v SHU (h) just doesn't look right at all imo

Not entirely sure what to do here now with 2FT’s.

I had originally intended on Trippier + Diaby OUT for something like Zinchenko/Gabriel + Saka, but with Trippier looking hard to let go, not too sure what I can do here?

    Areola
    Burn* - Trippier - Cash
    Palmer - Son - Salah - Maddison - Diaby
    Haaland - Watkins
    __________________________________
    Turner: Zouma: Archer: Kabore

    2FT’s, 0.0 ITB

Maybe just look at moving on Zouma + Burn instead?

Any thoughts most welcome gents thanks.

Cheers buddy, it’s served me well since WC’ing in GW 7, was 98k before today’s inevitable Haaland slip up! Back at 180k now but still 7 to play so fingers crossed.

Very hesitant to get rid of Trippier now, I can’t bring myself to do it.

Oh I know yeah, he was likely an enabler for Watkins, but I have a sneaky feeling about him, he’s such. Sharp player and obviously on pens, was good enough to allow for Watkins, but yeah I hear ya haha

Not very much probably, looks alright for the most part.

I think the bench, GK and Palmer could be strengthened, but then they're all the cheapest players so if the template premiums don't deliver, it might be a bit tricky to make gains.

May be worth getting a few Brighton players considering their fixtures and goal-threat.

      1. nerd_is_the_werd

I'm personally gonna try and bring Estupinian back in if he's cleared for SHU (h).

        • 3 Years
        2 years, 1 month ago

Cheers bud! Yeah agreed, like the spine of it…..not much I can think to change, but the bench and Areola can definitely be shook up, this is of course if I’m abandoning the idea of bringing Saka in, but is he really that needed? Not lighting the place up is he?
Brighton players is a wise move I guess, likewise if Estupinan is cleared I think I’d swoop for him, something like Burn + Zouma > Estupinan + Branthwaite perhaps.

        1. nerd_is_the_werd
          • 6 Years
          2 years, 1 month ago

Yup, I mean the only danger is that Estupinian's been out for like 4-5 weeks, so could be very rusty
Seems like a nice differential though.

Saka isn't a player who scores a lot of goals - never really hauled, and rarely blanks.
If we're banking on Arsenal scoring (which is about 95% of the time), he'll get like 1-2 goal contributions per game.
Based on current form, I don't think he's essential as he used to be.

Yup, agreed on both accounts. Based on current form, Saka isn’t essential, he just ‘seems’ like the logical move from next week onwards I guess.
Estupinan could be very rusty indeed but may give that backline some immediate security again, we get him for attacking returns anyway don’t we ha!

Early thoughts for next gameweek? Got 1FT and 0.2ITB:

    Areola
    Trippier | Cash | Tsimikas
    Salah | Son | Diaby | Mbeumo
    Haaland | Alvarez | Watkins

    Turner | Palmer | Lamptey | Andersen*

Thinking maybe Mbeumo to Mitoma or save FT.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

I would do Mbuemo to Mitoma yeah.
Then take the unadvised route of swapping them back when Brentford play Luton (h) in GW14.

Just seems weird to me to remove a player whos clearly in form, a talisman of his side and arguably has a better chance of returns against “tougher” opposition due to Brentfords counter attacking threat, for a player who isnt guranteed to start every game due to a short run of good fixtures :/

I am a Gordon owner but that wasn’t a goal. I have had lots of decisions not go my way this season for the wrong reasons but this time I feel like I am the one who has cheated others & it does feel good especially when I am often on the other end of things.
