Don't worry too much about taking hits, I've done it most weeks and am doing ok.

Hits put out fires don't leave them burning

    RP!

    Current squad:

    Areola
    Guehi Tsimikas Saliba
    Salah(c) Mbeumo Son(vc) JWP Diaby
    Haaland Alvarez

    Turner Archer Cash Lamptey

    0.6m itb and 1ft

I can move Alvarez to Isak for free, but is that wise with the ManC fixtures coming up??
    Turner to Dub if not...

    Cheers!

Agree on Diaby, but JWP is nailed and I can see us (WH) hitting Spurs on set pieces.

Then I think I will get Dub, Kudus and Isak

Is Porro rotation-proof during this period?

He’s nailed but Emerson Royal may get the odd game over Xmas period if games stack up

I'm not convinced this is quite right, sorry. During the absence of Romero and Van de Ven, Royal and Davies have covered centre back. Porro has played every game at right back. I think once the full eleven is available, Porro is the #1 right back, but could see some rotation. As far as I know, that's a way off, and I'd expect Porro to be pretty nailed, for the foreseeable.

        1. boombaba
          • 12 Years
          2 years, 1 day ago

Emerson is a right back and only been playing centre back due to injuries at centre back
If Porro gets rested at some point the most likely candidate will be for Emerson with Romero back at centre back along side left footed centre back Davies covering for Van de Ven
Festive period games come thick and fast so more chance of rotation.

I think so. Emerson will likely be the one to drop out for Romero so cover is available but the gulf between their quality on the ball is enormous so I can't see Porro being rested unless he's really suffering

If Tsimi starts, then poential double figures,

If Tsimi comes on late, chance of an assist...

        Might risk Tsimi for upside

Last week dropped Bowen(!) for Sterling with my extra transfer as sort of a punt (otherwise it would be Martinelli > Saka). Martinelli last few weeks has been rough.

This week I have 2.5 itb, 1 ft

    a) Martinelli > Saka - just get this inevitable transfer done
    b) Sterling > Saka (double arsenal) - and look to Martinelli out next week...unless of course he hauls vs Luton

I did the Martinelli > Saka transfer myself. He played twice for Brazil and then started all 3 games for Arsenal since. At some point in the next few gameweeks I reckon he will be rested and already Havertz and Trossard are eating into his minutes.

Areola - Toti, Schär, Tsimikas - Bowen, Hwang, Son, Salah - Haaland, Wood, Álvarez

Leno - Livramento, Douglas Luiz, van de Ven

Divided on whether to switch out Wood for Livramento given the injury concerns.

Apologies, I do have Leno starting. Used to having Areola as the regular.

Maybe Wood on the bench makes sense given the clash with Leno starting and Forest’s struggling attack.

      -4 not worth it.

Newcastle's fixture not great this week, so may not be worth bringing Dubravka in yet, unless you want to get a jump on price rises.

      B. Could be your best option.
