With the Luton Bou game decided to be played in full it makes no sense what so ever to keep the points from yesterdays game. The game never happened. Solanke owners can keep him for the replay.

                Well that’s what I thought.

Scenario could’ve been if Solanke was on 4 YC and got booked. Would he be suspended or would the YC be rescinded, just like his goal?

                  Rescinded just like the goal.

You can't get booked in a real life match that did'nt happen according to the PL fixture tally, goalscorer list, suspension list, points table and so on.

They virtually do at the moment tho.

It is a fantasy game afterall.

I'm not fussed either way if I get Solanke 6 points plus a defender or 8 points off my bench plus a 2nd sub.

I just remain unconvinced they've got the capabilities and time to sort it all out.

Whatever they have to do and can do they will.

I'm not expecting much to change but more moaning either way...

What if the replay is in 15 GWs time? Bit of a damp squid & unfair on players.

The whole thing is unfair to the Solanke owner. No doubt. But they got to follow the PL and the rules. If Solanke is never given the goal in ‘real life’ he should not get points in the game.

It's so harsh that so many fantasy managers had such terrible luck yesterday.

Most did a -4 to get Solanke in. Had to w8 an hour against LUT to see him score. Then realize he had the 3 BAPS bagged. Then a tragic accident happens. The game is abandoned and did not happen in the real life PL scheme of things.

FPL treat is as a blank. Imagine you had 5 players all injured in warm up in the same GW after a -12. That would be very unlucky, but FPL want add 50 points to your tally to make you feel better. It would make the game lose its integrety

If 2 nobody's had scored in this game with very little overall team ownership in general, there'd be tumbleweed about it all. But there was a ridiculous twitter/content creator push on Solanke which has turned this into the monster it currently is.

        True

      2. Salarrivederci
        • 9 Years

Yes I agree. All this is only because Solanke is on 6 or 9 points and engaged managers brought him in.

If Cook and Lokonga scored in a 1-1 with no assists and Solanke had a YC all players would have been on 0 now (hell even yesterday).

But that is what makes me think this could be an integrity problem for FPL as a game. I know we sometimes debate assists and so on, but they have their rules written.
If they make up a new wizard rule to protect a ghost goal scored by Solanke in an abandoned match to make engaged managers feel great, then it's too subjective.

Then I think that Alvarez should have 9 points against Brentford next GW even though I don't own him.

They could reward me by giving me an extra BB - would make me feel better. My neighbor will have another TC chip and my father would like to have the right to reverse every transfer in a given GW throughout a given GW (since he always gets them wrong)

I have had too many fires to fight so have stuck with pickford since day one. But this has been of huge benefit over the last month!

Haaland, Burn, Diaby ---> Solanke, Richarlison & Pau

Hmm Burn to Pay is unlucky. Other two are good transfers but yes, Diaby out could be wrongly timed as well. That's the game we play..

Hopefully any decision isn’t finalised by about half 7 tonight as final points are locked in then.

Premier league sources stating the main concern is Lockyer’s health so may not be any snappy decisions made 😀

I do think FPL has to choose a route by the end of tonight. Once the subs are on, the rankings updated, the cups calculated and so on, then they would have to stick with it tbh.

I still think the game is going to be removed from the fixture-list, all points removed and starting XI with players from BOU-LUT will move to the bench.

I agree, I think they'll have to decide before the end of the gw - I'd find it extremely unlikely they would remove points after that (Disclaimer: they still could I guess, has it happened before ?)

        1. Salarrivederci
          • 9 Years

I think they have changed points a day or two after before (within the same GW before the final update), yes.

Very unlucky for Solanke owners if they treat is as a BGW, but if that is what looks the likely scenario for PL, then it would be very wierd to me to give Solanke points in 39 FPL matches (3 against Luton), but PL will only have 2 matches between Bou - Lut and only two matches where points count in the table.

An abandoned game in PL is like it never took place. But I don't know much about the board decision and clubs internal talks. If it is likely that they just make it a 1-1. If that is likely then ofc points and even bonus should stay.

If rematch then remove all points.

    CASH STARTS!!!

I put him in my starting lineup "just in case", before I sell him.

If he does well today this could be a huge differential. Goals please, cash!!

Never say never. Fabianski is 38. Areola is a regular in the France squad. If West Ham make defensive improvements in January he might be back on the menu.

Clubs typically have 2-3 goalkeepers as standard and in FPL even very attacking wingers get classed as midfielders as opposed to forwards.
