    A. Guehi > Pau/ konsa
    B. Darwin > Solanke
    C. Both for a hit

Pau Torres is apparently injured (minor one) but watch out for that.

Darwin to Solanke I suppose if you are worried about losing team value.

I know it's not clear on Moreno starting but he offers the assists too.

I was so close to getting him in last week but played it safe with Pau Torres.

Mind I might have benched him ... But probably not at 5m.

Yeah, play safe but I wish I had been a bit bolder myself.

If he does play ahead of Digne and assist he's essential come next week.

There's only a thin slice of time to get on a new differential.

I can see the attraction, but Digne has been excellent so seems a massive risk. If either of them injured, the other one great choice. Bit like Wilson/Isak.

You'll soon have Salah and Son £

There's an argument that Man City won't be at the best on Dec 27 at Everton after 2 games in 3 days and a fairly long flight home.

    Overdue Hall of Shame Update

For those that have recently joined the great Hall of Shame Tourney I provide a reminder of the exciting imaginary prizes on offer:

    1. Guaranteed knighthood
    2. Prominent position at Round Table (away from Sir Downwind the Flatulent)
    3. Brand new jousting stick
    4. Second crack at feasting buffet post-tourney
    5. Personalised helm (not great helm but!)
    6. Highest placed damsel will win the coveted bearskin robe
    7. Highest placed horse will win a new crinet and crupper

We currently have 696 lollygaggers jousting for the top prize. As an enticement to reach 700 there will be a special imaginary prize on offer for the 700th jouster!

The tourney includes well-known Content Creators FPL Matthew, Sir AZ the Tipsy - both playing in the elite Hub/FFS fight to the death (metaphorically). We also have Zophar (I think), and the people's choice Lateriser12! We also have at least one ex-no.1 overall in Shambles FC (other ex-no.1 overall players are welcome to join). And last but not least we have fine representation from the modding community - most of whom are not doing particularly well at the moment and are looking at mine steed's crupper as they fall behind! Huzzah!

I will provide a further update on the Tourney closer to GW18.

All are welcome to join. B84jwh

I'm going to just give my opinion on this. I'm considering Palmer too, because he seems like good value and, on the face of it, Chelsea have favourable fixtures. Their performances have been so patchy and inconsistent, though, that it's putting me off - over the next five I'm really not confident in them winning any of those games, and Palmer's hauls have come in games where they've beaten teams well.

This week I actually went for Iwobi instead, because on recent performances Fulham could beat Burnley by a cricket score. If Chelsea can beat Wolves away I might move for Palmer the week after.

Chelsea have Palace, Luton and Fulham in their 3 games after Wolves.

For Palmer's price versus his output (and the fact he's on pens) you'd be mad not to get him tbh.

I did Hwang to Palmer before this GW which has gained me 12 points.

It favours those with bench depth to the 2nd sub, depending on your situation.

But yeah, you could have held Haaland zero points or potentially get a blank for Solanke.

Or they could say the 60+ mins count.

Doesn't really matter what happens with a replay for FPL points scoring because we'd all have free transfers and the same information.

It's just a question of gw17 points now.

        1. WVA
          • 9 Years

I had Trippier and Taylor suspended so only Archer on the bench.

Like you say the replay doesn't really matter as everyone has time to get players for that potential double so makes sense just to leave the points as they are as that doesn't disadvantage anyone as far as I can see?

What is happening with the Bournemouth Luton game then? Are points standing? What about bonuses? Cheers

The current ranks aren't right are they?

I'm 2 points behind the safety score but it shows me on green in the main game on 55 points.

Had a mixed week but missed the Arsenal clean sheet by selling Gabriel and also Livramento on my wildcard.

I guess it needs to update the Sunday scores.

I'm currently winning the cup game by 3 points but I lose it when Gordon autosubs on for Haaland for my opponents team.

We both have Solanke and Senesi interestingly, unless that's a factor in cup selection.

Anyhow, I think if both come out we tie the cup game by virtue of my bench points. I lose 8 and have 9 coming in to his 6, with Andersen his second sub over Cash.

Is that then a virtual coin flick?

Seems unfair on him, he's an active player who held Haaland and benched Gordon. I messed up my wildcard but Gross as the second sub puts me in with a chance.

It's v minor in the big scheme of things but there's going to be loads of close calls in the cup and final league ranks.

I'm still of the view they should just have left this weeks scores and not score a re-play in that case. Could add bonus points back in that case too.

The game stopped on 62 mins but the clocked ticked to 65 mins before the ref suspended play with the players on the side of the pitch.

Then walked them down the tunnel prior to the abandonment when the severity became clearer.

        I get that.

But it's a fantasy game and they could just have said accumulated pints stand beyond 60 mins, no points awarded in a replay.

That would be slighrly ridiculous to have the points stand if there is a rematch

I can guarantee you the Solanke points wont stand. I brought him in as part of a hit due to injuries. Archer coming in.

Is it obvious? What do the rules say? I've no idea but hugely unfair on those with players from those teams. Better to just leave as is, anyone that doesn't have those players has plenty of time to get them?

Tok a -12p last GW. Tok out Sanchez, Trippier, Darwin and Archer. Got in Dubravka, Porro, Watkins and Solanke. Got total of 30p and maybe ekstra 3p for Solanke bps. Players I would have played without hits would give me 7p. So 30-12-7=11p earned and my team is in much better shape and I have Haaland on the bench.

Nice. People are so afraid of big hits but mine paid off instantly too even though one of them was Jimenez (would only have been able to field 9 players without transfers though). I basically sold Haaland & spread the funds: Lamptey, Lo Celso, Haaland, Darwin ➡ Trent, Richarlison, Watkins, Jimenez (-12). 12pts up immediately & now I have a full playing squad, after struggling with injuries & no bench for weeks.

Well they certainly won't change the transfer and hit - that was done and dusted. Precedent say game is voided as it nobody played so yes Solanke voided and Archer off the bench but we don't know yet.

"There isn't much in terms of a precedent to follow in the Premier League. Wigan Athletic's trip to Watford in December 2006 is seemingly the last example of a game being abandoned in the competition mid-match, and it was 52 days later that the waterlogged fixture was replayed from the first minute.

On that occasion, Fantasy Premier League removed the match and any points accrued in it from the gameweek - meaning it was as if the players had not played and automatic substitutions were made."

But again we don't know yet.

2006, a lot has changed since then and they made the wrong decision, time to learn from their mistakes i think.

Lifes not fair bud could have happened with any player. But it's also unfair to give bonus or let points stand when the entire game is called off and has no standing on the league table or prem. Unfortunate situation, but it is what it is. This game is based on the actual league so matches that 'didn't take place' should not affect scores.

On the positive note the rematch will be counted, Solanke should be a strong hold for that double and that -4 should pay off then ;). For now hoping you have a good bench

    Thoughts on these options?

    1) Playing Darwin/Taylor this week, getting Haaland next week

    2) Anyone in -4 this week - maybe Tripp, getting Haaland delayed to GW20

Honestly I may just take a hit, Darwin looks like the worst striker in the league right now. Either way, you are right, will surely wait until the deadline with any moves.

I’m seriously thinking of a -4 because Darwin is so awful but it’ll upset my plans for Haaland return and who can you guarantee getting your points back in one match.

Other alternative is to play Gabriel and bench Darwin.

FWIW, I’m thinking Darwin gets benched and Jones or Elliot are played in a rearranged formation. They seem to play better with them rather than Darwin and he might be a reasonable last resort option in the last 15 minutes if losing
