    Dubravka Areola
    Porro Gabriel Tsimikas Branthwaite Lascelles
    Salah Son Saka Palmer Nakamba
    Haaland Watkins Alvarez

    1ft
    1.8 itb

    Was gonna do Nakamba to Gordon and thinking of keeping Alvarez for the possible double

    A) Alvarez to Solanke
    B) Nakamba to Bailey
    C) Nakamba to anyone 6.2 or less
    D) Save and play Branthwaite away to Spurs

    Cheers

      A-
      Bailey too much of injury and rotation risk - even when starting comes off early

    Best option here?

    A: Start Gabriel, Taylor, Tsimikas
    B: Taylor -> Konsa (-4) and bench Gabriel
    C: Taylor -> Colwill (-4) and bench Gabriel

      A.

      C is decent for a long term hold, but may as well just do it for free next week. Colwill will make a good squad player, but can Chelsea keep enough CS to make a -4 worth it? I doubt that even in one week, let alone three or four.

    Bench 1:
    A) Doug Luiz (Shu H)
    B) Palmer (Wol A)
    C) Gordon (Lut A) (only included due to injury)

      A & B definitely not IMO.

      For me it's D.

      Yes Luton are hard to break down... But harder than Liverpool?

      In regards to C, If Arsenal do manage it, Jesus may be involved. If Newcastle do manage it and he is on the pitch, odds on that Gordon will be involved.

    Is this worth the -8??

    Gordon (injury) --> Gross
    Mykolenko --> Diego Carlos
    Alvarez --> Watkins

    if i go with these, than it looks like

    Dubravka
    TAA, Diego Carlos, Konsa, Trippier
    Salah, Gross, Bowen, Son
    Watkins, Joao Pedro

    Kelleher, Saka, White, Semenyo

    many thanks!

      no, not a fan of gross or carlos tbh, and saka shouldnt be on the bench

      The advice here is good already.

      I think you can a little bit forget about whether it's worth a -8 or not and actually consider if it's worth it or not? I don't think any of those except Watkins is a particular upgrade.

      Also, do not bench Saka, as already said.

      Dubravka
      TAA, Konsa, Tripps
      Salah, Gordon, Bowen, Son, Saka
      Watkins Pedro

      Semenyo, Myko, White

    Playing a defence of

    Saliba Lascelles Tsimikas (Gabriel, Guehi)

      Havertz has been our POTM, and it was well deserved. He is getting more confident and into dangerous positions each time he plays (https://www.instagram.com/premierleague/p/C1ADZjbCkDK/). Arteta is slowly getting the best out of him, so he will start most of the games in the second half of the season if he can keep it up.

    “Moving to Martin Dubravka (£4.2m) might be too late now. Newcastle’s opponents toughen in a couple of weeks and they will likely buy another keeper in January”

    I don’t get this comment re “Likely buy another keeper” now Newcastle only have the League and FA Cup to play for. Eddie Howe has been full of praise for Dubravka and Nick Pope should be back before the season end.

      I think the comment is more strongly leaning on the fixtures with the potential Jan transfer just being in the mind. Even without the Jan transfer, in a world were Dubravka was no. 1 at 4.2m I would not be buying at this moment in time.

      If you already own him, hold.

    Bottomed.
    Looking at Lascelles to Trippier only this week and rolling my FT into GW19. I'll then be at GW19 with 2FTs at this team (no idea who to start/bench, considering a bench boost!)

    Areola (ars), kelleher (bur)
    Trippier (NFO), Tsimikas (bur), Gusto (CRY), Porro (bha), Gabriel (WHU)
    Salah (bur), Saka (WHU), Bowen (ars), Gordon (NFO), Palmer (CRY)
    Haaland (eve), Watkins (mun), Semenyo (FUL)

    Areola and Kelleher would be the only changes I really need to make?

      Don't take me wrong here, but you're probably lacking responses as your question isn't really a question. I think you'll probably get a few more responses once GW18 is done.

      Anyway, I won't respond without answering it. Short term the answer is yes, only GK to sort. No do not play your bench boost, there'll be better times later in the season

      Played only the first half in the cup and Howe mentioned it was intentional to sub him at half time. He will have his minutes managed in my opinion.

      In my opinion:
      Is he back? Yes.
      Is he nailed? Yes.
      Will he get full games? No, not yet.

    Dubravka

    Trippier / Cash / Porro

    Given so little bench cover for Cash and Gordon, should I;
