    Thoughts on this for -4?

    Johnson/Bowen/Solanke -> Richarlison/Darwin/Gross

      Am thinking about Richi but just concerned am too late... especially if Son back in a week or so.
      I've had Gross the last few weeks but didn't really appreciate having him that much.

        Unless you think Gomez is starting as CB now Konate is suspended (but I think Quansah is probably ahead of him)

    Dubravka (Areola)
    Guehi*, Udogie, TAA, (Baldock, Branthwaite)
    Saka, Odegaard, Palmer, Gross (Sarr)
    Haaland, Hoijlund, Solanke

    2FT, 6.7m ITB. Should I:
    A: Guehi to Trippier
    B: Odegaard to De Bruyne
    C: both of the above or something else?

    Clearly not making any moves now, but which of these seems good for freeing up the funds for Alvarez to Haaland?

    a. Solanke -> Adebayo
    b. Saka -> £7.2m mid
    c. Foden -> £6.2m mid
    d. Trent -> Trippier (or maybe cheaper Def)
    e. Porro -> Van Hecke

    I think B, C and E look silly. A could be shrewd but starting to lean towards it being D....

      Foden out isn't necessarily silly if think his impact is limited by KDB being back. Saka to Richarlison is a good move if you're not concerned about Son coming back to soon and decreasing Richarlison's role.

    How to get Liverpool into this team ?

    Neto
    Trippier. Porro. Doughty
    KDB. Foden. Richarlison. Palmer
    Haaland. Watkins. Toney

    Areola. Garnacho. Gusto. Estupinan

    2.9 itb 1 ft

    1. Jota for Foden, leaves money for Salah or Trent; Foden ineffective out wide

    2. Jota for Palmer, no money for Trent/Salah without downgrading Watkins/other; Palmer has City & blank in next 3

    3. Salah for KDB; unlikely to be available for gw20, possible doubt for double

    4. Other

      Depending on who you bring in, you'll have around 5 players blanking in 26 - so likely some hits to field 11. Plus reading those options and it starts to feel like you're compromising a lot just for a double.

      Keep coming back to this but Klopp will want that trophy - you think players like Salah & Jota who are coming back from injuries get the 180 minutes to make it worth the impact of the blank?

      1. Make FPL Casual Again

        Yeah that all makes sense...

        Going off Trent now, and Salah also...

        Jota too dangerous though, esp with BUR next....

      5. Porro to TAA could be the best upgrade though, Porro few cs and attackjng threat dived with Maddison back...

        6. Go all in on Liverpool for next 3 :

        Darwin, Jota, TAA in for Watkins, Foden and Porro, -8

        Means 2 extra bgw 26 players and more hits then though

    Would you roll here?

    Neto
    Doughty - Trippier - Moreno
    KDB - Foden - Saka - Palmer - Richarlison
    Haaland - Watkins

    Areola - Solanke - Estupinan - Van Hecke

    0.3 ITB, 1 FT

    I have no pool cover, but I don't know how I'd bring any in. Saka -> Jota perhaps, but not sure how I feel about dropping Saka with his form.

    1. Triple Free Bench Hit Boost
      • 4 Years

      I think the issue overall is that you've got too much money tied up in your bench. I'd roll the FT, look to use both for the double gameweek and potentially drop one of the bench from a cheaper player.

        I'd second this. Funds are spread across front 8. You could do with 2FT to downgrade to a fodder mid/forward and then use the funds elsewhere

      I think 1 is far and away better. Even if Alvarez starts tomorrow, over a longer term he is unlikely to be worth holding. Plus Gordon is crocked, but it was a sensible move this week to get him in, just unfortunate it back fired in hindsight

    In gw 25:

    A. Toney -4
    B Watkins

    The other would come in 26 for Darwin. Need to decide this week as A. Means Darwin comes in for Watkins now and B means he comes in for Solanke.

    Thanks

      Hmm... another way of looking at this for the next 2 GWs is you're basically asking who gets more out of:
      A: Watkins (2 games: at home to Utd and away to Fulham) + 4 pts
      B: Toney (3 games: away to Wolves, home to Liverpool and away to Man City)

      Looking at that, I think Watkins ends up with more points at the end of the 2 GW.

    Had a mess of a GW!
    70Kk > 138k (so far)!

    Leno
    TAA Porro Gabriel
    KDB Foden Palmer Bailey
    Haaland Watkins Solanke
    Areola // Gordon Gusto Taylor

    A) Gordon > Jota
    B) Bailey > Jota

    Oolriginal plan, if he were fit, was Bailey to Jota for exact ITB. Don't actually need Gordon next GW. Villa have good fixtures after United - but his xMins...

      I think Bailey could easily score at home against Utd. I thought Utd's clean sheet today was not that comftable and more on West Ham poor finishing (Emerson in particular) and a good block from Dalot.

      Quite clear in the rules.

      "Should an unforced defensive error lead to the goalscoring opportunity, then no Fantasy assist will be awarded."

      The ball from Gabriel didn't was aimed upfield but the actual chance came from Allison & VVD messing up.

        I interpret that more as a defender passing the ball to an attacker, or the keeping rolling it out and someone taking it.

        This was a pass from defence aimed at Martinelli.

        VVD and Alisson missed it, and Martinelli poked it in.

        Was still a pass from Gabriel though.

          Even Opta did not credit Gabriel with the assist.

          Not sure how that passage of play isnt a (massive) defensive error. Both Allison & VVD were between Martinelli & the ball until they messed that up.

          Chance clearly created by the mistake.

            I think the error was forced by Martinelli, even gave Van Dijk a bump but FPL towers do what they like with the rules anyway, not for the first time this season regarding Gabriel funnily enough. As consistent as VAR with these interpretations of their own rules.

        IMO FPL should really tweet out the reasoning with more contentious decisions like this

    Current team atm
    Areola Dubravka
    Porro Gabriel saliba gusto taylor
    Saka Richarlison kdb foden palmer
    Haaland Solanke watkins

    Who should i transfer to get jota and darwin for their double
    And i will loose 0.2 in value on each of saka, rich, solanke and Watkins if I have to get them again and all their recent points are not helping either to make any decision

    Saka Gordon to Jota Richarlison -4?

      Gordon may be preemptive. I'd be more tempted if it were for free. Richarlison has that annoying BGW in 26. Otherwise I'd be interested.
