Brentford v Man City team news: Haaland starts in attacking XI

Gameweek 23 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) comes to a conclusion with Brentford v Manchester City.

Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

Pep Guardiola makes four changes to the City XI that that beat Burnley 3-1 last Wednesday.

Erling Haaland makes his first start in two months after recovering from a foot injury, while Kyle Walker is also back in the side.

Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva are similarly recalled.

Making way are Rico Lewis, John Stones, Matheus Nunes and Jeremy Doku.

Desite Haaland starting, there is still room in Guardiola’s line-up for all of Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.

Brentford have made just one change to the side that was narrowly beaten by Tottenham Hotspur.

On-loan Sergio Reguilon, who couldn’t play against parent club Spurs, comes into the team for his full debut.

Keane Lewis-Potter makes way.

      Any restart from a ball going out of play cannot result in an offside.
      Hard to imagine how you could be offside from a corner but I guess if that ball were placed right on the edge of the corner line, kicked slightly forward but bent back in to a player who was standing offside in the inches available, then it could happen!
      Anyway, you cannot be offside from a corner so I’m robbed of that bizarre example ever actually happening. Boo.

      the rule is what I posted just below, free kicks are not the same and also set pieces bec opponent was offside, you wait for referee to whistle to start the play, unlike Corners, goal kicks, throw ins

  There is no offside offence if a player receives the ball directly from a goal kick, a corner kick, or a throw-in. It is also not an offence if the ball was last deliberately played by an opponent (except for a deliberate save).
