Would you guys use a free hit of triple captain Haaland? At this time, only half my team is double gameweek players.. I kinda feel like free hit might be value for the people who don’t have a lot of players on their team, with double gameweek.

Also, if you use free hit, it will still apply for the double gameweek right?

I’d appreciate your input sir, yes you

FH works in any week and offers most flexibility.

I'd not use it this week personally.

If you double with Brentford and Luton are you avoiding all defenders in all 4 teams and going for goals? Guess that's the only logical play.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Triple captain is not that good a chip so don’t overthink it. Any success you do get from Haaland TC will most likely be cancelled out by the sheer number of people playing the same chip. Either go with the masses and play it then or have fun with it and use it elsewhere.

Agree. I am 50 points of top of my money league. Everyone has Haaland and will likely triple C. Only real chance of potentially overhauling is to take a chnace on a week like this and go different. Therefore will be using BB and saving triple C for later, probably GW28 and Solanke.

Of course risk is it all goes horribly wrong. but I will C Haaland to reduce the damage if so.

Triple captain is a great chip because you don't have to overthink it.

After the wildcard I prefer Free Hit for it's flexibility.

BB you just need to land it right. So that's the art of timing like anything in this game.

    Have exact cash for

TAA, Jota -> Bradley, Salah -4

Im likely gonna do it if Trent is out, but will be priced out if any price changes

      I'd do that this week.

You'd like some positive Salah news first. Otherwise you're risking it with Jota.

I'm looking at keeping Jota and just looked at Saka and Trent to Salah and Bradley or Doughty which is on. Is that a downgrade?

      Thanks

Om second thoughts I wouldn't do it with Salah just in light, non contact training so far.

More positive news on Bradley back in training.

Just do Trent if hes out. Can't see Salah outscoring Jota by 4 given he will get minutes managed before cup final.

If Trent is out, it does not guarantee Bradley two starts or good form. His dad just died!

Salah is coming back from a hamstring injury. Generally you ease back in from those, you don't come back firing on all cylinders

Jota is fit and firing - why dump the best option of the 4?

TAA to Robbo/Virgil is fine, the rest are wishful thinking

      1. Count of Monte Hristo
        • 13 Years

Agreed, Jota is the best pick there right now and in goal scoring form. Selling him for a player recovery if from a hamstring injury, an injury with a high recurrence rate is not a smart move. And Bradley just returning from compassionate leave. Gomez can play RB and Trent may be available for the second game of the double. Just bad moves all round.

Don’t like these moves, particularly wouldn’t lose Jota. There are no guarantees of minutes for Salah who is only in light training with squad and Gomez can cover Trent also so can see Bradley rested in Luton game for cup final

I was under the impression that Salah had returned to full training, but if that is not the case, it is probably better to wait.
Only Bradley as a replacement for Trent then

Thank you for your responses! Appreciated.

      KDB.

He doesn't blank but could be a sub against Brentford or Bournemouth, but they may well need him on to unlock it for them.

Jota likely to lose out to Salah soon enough.

KDB helps bridge towards Salah too when he's back playing FT.

Nothing to say one will score more than the other but Jota doesn't play 26 and KdB has no peer in his team. He has made the match winning contribution or at least assisted a goal in every game since he got back. The last one was a goal and 2 assists in the Champion's League

No one knows yet. Brentford is a doubt.

Press conference and team leaks to come.

No training ground pics yesterday of Trent, but a video of Salah looking healthy and happy.

      So TAA likely crocked currently.

KDB also turned it on yesterday.

Owned him for months now, will sell for sure in the weeks to come but not taking hits this season and I can just bench as I already have Palmer and Estupiñian on my bench.

Selling Trent for VVD/Robertson or Walker/Ake doesn’t appeal.

Opinions have varied just this week on the most optimal move. With full context I feel people give different suggestions as well. What would you do?

    Dubravka Areola
    Porro Gabriel Estupinan Burn Carlos
    Saka Foden Jota Palmer Richarlison
    Haaland Watkins Darwin

    4.6m ITB

    A) Richarlison > KdB
    B) Palmer + Porro > KdB + Doughty
    **C) Jota + Porro > Salah + Ake

Which option looks best? C is super speculative and I will only do it if Salah is confirmed to start and Jota benched in the first game (i.e. very unlikely)

          A then.

Don't think I'd start Doughty in this double, I know he has 7 assists including a couple against Arsenal and Chelsea so I could be wrong.

He's value in dgw28 so I am considering him in my mini shake up tbf but that's price related to get Kev in.

    LFC DGW25 Thought Dump

    https://twitter.com/HungarySzoboFPL/status/1757494940257460638?t=0EAniHT9rfOfY9mcxwWh_Q&s=19

    UPDATE:

I watched the “Inside Training” video on LFC TV…

Gym, dribbling challenges, loser pushups, passing rondos, attack vs defence, shooting practice.

Salah involved in the passing rondos and dribbling challenges only. NOT, I repeat, NOT involved in the attack vs defence i.e the heavier contact stuff. Only non-contact!

    Yellow/orange bib team were attacking:

Robertson and Van Dijk, Mac Allister, Endo and Jones, Diaz, Núñez and Jota. No Salah. Means nothing at this stage, it’s only Tuesday but it’s an observation nonetheless.

Not many snippets of Bradley but that could also be intentional.

1 FT, 0.7 ITB, got only 3 players from City/Pool (Haaland, KDB, Darwin). I am usually trying to always avoid hits, but thinking this might be the time to take one...

    A) Richarlison to Doku
    B) Richarlison to Luis Diaz
    C) Gusto to Konate
    D) Gusto to Akanji
    E) Estupinan to Walker
    F) Take a hit and get 1 City 1 Pool player in (which?)

I'm not keen on the defender hits; even Konate I think will only start the Brentford game. Doku might be more nailed now if Grealish is out, but still seems quite punty FPL-wise compared to Foden

      F.

Foden + Jota if you can manage. If you can't, I'd get Ake. But I'd want Jota/Diaz this week. Diaz is overlooked. He shouldn't be that much lower owned than Jota based on potential but he is.
