Odegaard (10, 14) to Jota (7, 4, 0) in GW24 will haunt me even more in the coming weeks. It sucks when you keep the faith for months, but DGW fever gets to you at the end.

4 fixtures vs 2. But, hattrick vs MU quite believable. I’d say Adebayo if I had to bet, he’d already be 4 pts ahead on points for just playing 2 more games.

It had overachieved, surely? Dan Burn gets roasted by every skilful winger (which is everyone, really) but has got away with it so far, combination of physicality (well, fouling) and team defending less. He's a busted flush – and Howe is this season exposed regarding his dogmatic approach to not rotating.

Yes, I recall you favoured Solanke when asked this, as did many others. I went with form over fixture, and the fixture (poor Newcastle defence) won out in the end.

Their form was similar, so it was all about the fixture for me. I know you’re not the only one who saw it differently though, and Palmer looked good as always - he just had to put in a more defensive shift than usual

Bit of a waste if only 3-4 fixtures. Most will already have a couple of Spurs, Watkins, Toney & -Areola. So you’re FH to bring in 5-6 meh players .

      1. Gommy
        • 16 Years
        2 years, 1 month ago

It’s a chip that is made for such a week. Changing your team without semi-permanently stinking it up with ‘meh’ players.

I’d rather field 11 players (who can very much still haul by the way) and have a chance to gain/pull away from other poorly planned teams.

You’ll pull away by 8-10 points with those extra meh players.

Using it in a double will get you all the big hitters (some twice if you use it in GW37)

You’d be lucky if it was only 8-10 points. I’ve about 10 seasons of it being used to far greater effect on BGW’s rather than a DGW with dead rubber in it.

Most know that DGW37 is well known for being be a minefield for rotation as a lot of teams are on the beach or in FA Cup/European final within a week or so, for example.

But hey, there’s more than one way to skin a cat and I wish you luck.

Nope - didn't go straight from red flag (0) to available (100):

      16 Feb - Salah - 50 to 100 - I to A
      10 Feb - Salah - 0 to 50 - I to I

Fulham without Paulinha next game is a consideration.

I'm either between those two or Hwang currently.

Shame FA Cup ties are just after this round of fixtures.

Haaland TCers won't realistically be happy with anything less than a hattrick against Brentford.
2 goals over two games even with bonus would be a TC fail.
Glad I didn't go for it. Never fancied it all week. Not trying to rub it in or be a hindsight merchant but....

I've always intended to stick it on Salah in a double when everyone else has used/wasted it, however you want to look at it.

I’m with you. Haaland has absolutely no track record of scoring goals and would be lucky to get in the St Albans FC front three if based solely on his ability

Brentford marked Haaland out of the game at the Etihad. He didn't get a sniff.

Ah, yes, that's right; when he ran through and Flekken saved.
Not much else apart from that. He was given very little space. He'll get more at home, of course...

I spose we'll see, you never know... it's like it's more random seeing football through a fantasy prism than actually watching it as an actual sport!
