      from what i can tell gomez at lb lets bradley play on the overlap from rb, with gomez going into midfield. worked well before

      who knows maybe today he scores that elusive goal!

    good to see arteta is trusting havertz + trossard away in a big cl match. think trossard should be on peoples radars now, even if hes only a 70-ish minute player

        just needs to keep performing (and scoring). he seems to be working better with havertz than jesus was, and arteta really wants havertz to be seen as a success of a signing so thats a positive for trossard imo

    This Liverpool game should never have been a DGW game. The game has been brought forward about 68 hours from when it was originally due to be played (next Saturday). GW26 should have started tonight with this game and then we wouldn't have been wasting time planning, taking hits and worrying about a blank gameweek.

    I benched Watkins for Palmer. In hindsight its a terrible decision, and in foresight I think it seems bad, but was it?

    - I strongly believed Palmer would return vs City.
    - He is a midfielder so he gets more points then forwards.
    - Watkins form is kind of hot and cold, he is consistent, but its hard to predict hauls.
    - Worst case scenario I predicted was Watkins getting 9 or 10 points max, and any Palmer return would likely match or exceed that.

    OFC the worst happened, Palmer blank and Watkins brace. I also have Leno, so maybe that played a factor subconsciously.

    Was this a terrible decision, and I should have just seen it for what it is? City is a hard fixture, even though they aren't tight at the back? Palmer is by no means a bad player, as you know.

      Not “terrible” but probably a bad choice given the fixtures and Villa being way better than Chelsea. Honestly, with so many benching Palmer it could have been an awesome differential. Unlucky mate. Don’t deep it too much

    Well Zinchenko not even on the bench. I was hoping maybe he would start in GW26 but that looks unlikely now.

    A) Darwin ------> Solanke (Likely to be 10 players)
    B) Zinchenko + Darwin ----------> Solanke + a playing defender up to 5.8m (-4)

      I don't like taking a hit for a defender as it is easier for them to get you less than 2 points on the day and a positive return for the hit is rare.
