Who will win PFA player of the year in your opinion? The favourites rn are:
    1) Rodri
    2) Foden
    3) Rice
    4) Salah
    5) Haaland/Saka
    Other possible options: VVD, Watkins

Your answer is the obvious one if Arsenal win the league, imo Arsenal finish 3rd. There will be a battle for 1at between Liverpool and City. Liverpool need to WIN this gw

Arsenal have a much better shot than Liverpool. They have a first team.

Rodri, city really struggled without him this season and defensive players rarely get recognition, he deserves it imo

Depends who wins the league. If Liverpool wins this weekend then Salah.

    Areola

    Gabriel Doughty Zabarnyi

    Foden Saka KDB Palmer

    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Bench: Turner Garnacho Zinchenko Pau

Anything here worth a -4? (i'm FH29 and KDB money will be used for Salah)

    Thinking either:

    A) KDB to Tavernier
    B) Turner to Neto

If you had this defence- what move(s) would you make.
    Gabriel, **Trippier, **Senesi, *Porro, *Beyer.

Used FT already so any move is for a -4.
FH in 30 and WC after GW 32 sometime.

      FH in 29 I should say, so playing, 28, 30, 31 etc.

      Oof that defence!

Porro is one you keep and hope I guess. Look for news if he start this week, but regardless probably a hold.

Trippier is definitely out but may be back for GW30. Fixtures from 30 not the worst so an option to hold - unless you need to cash.

Senesi I'd sell. Wait for news but sounds like a few weeks out.

Beyer... If you can afford Doughty, why not... or lump on 2x BOU cheapies (Zabarnyi + Kerkez).

At least with 2x BOU you get a roll on the DGW for a player who won't play (mininses effect of hit), and in GW30 if you need one/both, they at least have Everton. Plus a change at DGW34 too.

Note: Only need 2x BOU defenders if Porro out. Would just play Porro if fit... Although BOU might outscore 😀

    Happy Hump Day...

    Areola
    Gabriel Saliba Doughty
    Saka Son Foden Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Solanke
    Leno // Hwang* Gusto Taylor

Team is mostly okay for the double. Would be nice to have one or two more - but I'm also lining up a move for Foden (ARS) > Salah (BHA) in GW30.

    What do you prefer?

    Option A:
    GW28: Saliba > Zabarnyi
    GW29: Free Hit
    GW30: Foden > Salah

    Option B:
    GW28: Saliba > Zabarnyi
    GW29: Free Hit
    GW30: Hwang/Solanke > Salah/Muniz [-4]

(Foden plays ARS & Muniz has SHU GW30.)

All I need is 0.5m for the Salah move, so could downgrade Hwang > Barkley/Chong/Kluviert... but who would you even play them ahead of? Either way not using the transfer here leaves options open?

It feels silly to sell an ARS defender, but Brentford -could- score... and in GW30 I'd have 2x ARS defence vs. City whereas Zabarnyi vs. EVE (both not guaranteed a CS really.) Likewise not sure if selling Solanke would be great, but it's an enabling move to keep the option open for keeping Foden.

Im considering Leno > Neto too but need to judge that as a -4 in its own right.

In essence. Gabriel > BOU defender worth it for GW28 & GW30, for what it enables?

There is also a chance of a BOU DGW in 34 too, so that is also in the back of my mind.

I prefer Doughty as an individual player but the fixtures post-28 are not good.

BOU have a good run of fixtures, and could even get DGW34 (not guaranteed). Not the most exciting layers - but easily benchable with decent upside.

Playing FH29 - I plan to hold my wildcard until GW35(ish).

My GW30-33 squad is fine without a WC. GW34 we'll see - could even play it then depending on fixtures, but I'm BB DGW37 so works for me to hold it till close to then.

Simply Gross by order of elimination.

They have an important European fixture on Thursday, and Forest not playing -awfully-.

Wouldn't want to bench any ARS attackers after 21 goals in their last 4 PL games.

Can't bench Haaland. Foden's in great form too.

Anyone vs. NEW defence worth a shout, although potentially a cagey one.

      ... that leaves Gross.

What to do with this team:

    Areola
    Gabriel Senesi Van Hecke
    Salah Bowen Palmer Saka
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Dubravka Walker Pau Hwang
    1FT, 0.5 MITB

    A)
    GW28) Haaland & Senesi -> Morris & Zabarny (-4)
    GW29) FH

    B)
    GW28) Haaland & Senesi -> Morris & Doughty (-4)
    GW29) Hwang->Son (play GW29 with 7 players) and go FH34

Or if you can recommend some better option.. cheers!

I don't think B is terrible, but plating with 7 is what it is. Can't really expect much from Doughty/Areola that week.

I'm doing FH29 so if I were biased I'd say that - but I'm really not too sure about selling Haaland if doing FH29. I know ARS is in GW30 but you'll want him back...

I'd save the hit and just get Zabarnyi or Doughty (Doughty better this week bit Zabarnyi maybe better for a few weeks?)

Slightly selends on when you plan to WC. I don't like FH29 if you WC immediately afterwards.

      1. MaestroMostar
        • 4 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

Senesi injury crushed my plans, so now I'm just thinking how to navigate through this next few weeks.
If I do option B, I wouldn't WC immediately after FH29, probably would go Walker-> Richards ( DEF from CP) in GW30 and probably transfer out Bowen&Morris in GW31 to get back Haaland and some cheaper MID for -4.
I'm still probably closer to do FH29 option though...

    Just 1 fit defender atm.
FH 29 is current plan. Would you-
    1. Take a -4, Senesi out for other Bournemouth/Doughty.
    2. Take a -8, Senesi + Beyer out for Bour + Doughty.
    3. Just go the WC 28 route... (Go heavy on 28/29 + FH 34 probably)

    Areola.
    Gabriel, *Porro, *Trippier.
    Foden, Saka, Son, Palmer.
    Watkins, Haaland, Solanke.

maybe you can bench Kevin and ignore the Barkley move? Then next week Kevin to Son which will allow you to keep Foden.

Instead you can change Baldock to a BOU defender which improves your starting XI for this week as well as GW30.

Morris would be my choice, yes. Very low chance of backfiring I think.

Fellow wildcarders, would you sell Haaland?

I got him at 13.9m, seems like a hard decision.

So you can sell for 14.2 and get him back for 14.5, only 0.3 difference which I guess should be manageable?

Wouldn't mind getting rid but how and when to get him back is more of a hard decision and that you need to plan now.

For free, probably. For -4 or more, definitely not.

Was planning for that but then thought everyone will probably captain him anyway so will I gain much ground? Or better having a differential captain in possibly gw 34 but hard not knowing who will have a good double gw

Starting to really consider WC28 instead of 30/31 given the teams would be v similar and it saves some hits etc. I guess less info around doubles but given have FH available for 34 it doesn’t matter too much how the fixtures land?

What am I missing? What are the main drawbacks of wildcarding now?

You don’t know which teams will double & blank in 34 and which teams will double in 37. Could be injuries over the IB also.

Is your BB gone? If yes, then WCing now is an option. Otherwise, it will be tricky to maximise the chip output.

Mmm but probably BB37, such a long way that not sure should hold back the chip because of that.

Injuries over IB is true, in terms of doubles / blanks, have the FH to use to maximise that in whichever week is best?

Guys I am in a tricky position. Not fh in gw 29 with this team now.

    Areola dub
    Konsa doughty taylor gabriel saliba
    Bowen son saka foden gordon
    Watkins solanke haaland

I can save this week and do gordon solanke foden to maddy barkley)Luiz Toney for a hit nxt week. But will only have 2 doublers this week. So would you do

Gordon dub to Barkley neto for a hit and nxt week take another hit to get Maddy toney?
