Haaland isn't worth his price on current form. He's well off last season's level where he had a 2 month break to recharge the batteries.

Looking for a cheap GK to BB37 with.

Is Verbruggen an option? Onana screws me for cheap defender transfer that will also need to make to BB with

With Onana, you're only likely to play him in BB37 and 35 so wouldn't be a rush to bring him in.

55 points 40 of them from Foden and Palmer, Salah (C) 2 pts, what a GW xD Why do we never C Palmer? Is it because of his price? It feels wrong to C such a cheap player? when we have likes of Haaland and Salah?

I think it may just be that mindset if just how cheap he started off and still is, so we’re not as geared towards capping a player who isn’t as notorious as Salah/Halaand/Son etc. I could be wrong but that’s just my take. But what a season he’s had, absolute gem at 4.9 when I picked him up.

      1. Eastman

Yeah this is correct but Salah was the obvious captain this week to be fair

Price might be a factor for some, for me it's just Haaland and Salah have a longer track history.

But Palmer should be 10m next season. What a gun.

Says a lot about FPL economics that he's instantly the star at a 'big 6' club, but couldn't get on the pitch as the big 1 club. Man City's boot cleaner would probably captain Sheff Utd.

    5. TallestJohn
      • 9 Years

Chelsea aren't a very good team and I feel like Chelsea-United games have been quite low scoring historically. United can still play spoiler occasionally (beat Chelsea earlier this season, got a 0-0 at Anfield). At least thought there was more chance of a decent Man United display than a decent Sheffield United display. Didn't think Salah would come off unless Liverpool were comfortable.

I had Palmer and Foden and captained Palmer against Burnley but I was going to captain a Liverpool player this GW. If not Salah I would've brought in Diaz and/or Darwin.

That’s an oversight on my part, basically didn’t change it from last week.
Probably should pay for attention to vice even though 99% of the time it won’t make a difference

              Plenty of oversights it seems.

Team looks good. You confident about Haaland (c)?

Honestly considering Palmer at this rate. Interesting options!

Crazy that Palmer is still less than 42% ownership overall.
Has there ever been a lower ownership for such a cheap prolific asset?

Even Kane and Mahrez in their breakout seasons were 50%+ ownership by this point in the season

Everyone that takes this game seriously owns Palmer though. At least everyone I'm competing with in my mini league

Yeah I get that, but there’s more than 42% of the game that play it at least semi consistently.

Hence why for example Haaland ownership was 80%+
It’s odd, almost like his cheap price puts masses off

Forget overall, 58% don't play anymore.
At least 94% owned in high ranks.

Nahhh, at least 70% are engaged when you look at the total transfers/chips played each week etc

Pulling numbers from you know where.

Nope, take this week for example.
7.1m transfers made and 10.8m players.
Its not a DGW so the average player will make 1 transfer, so that’s close to 66%

So 65%-70% I’d say are active, then another 10%-15% will be semi active

Are WCs transfers? The amount of 0 transfers would surprise you.

Could explain it yes, but imo they shouldn’t count as they’re unlimited in the week, should just be true spent transfers.

FFFix estimated that 41% of teams were inactive way back in GW21
Palmer's ownership is above 80% among the top 1m managers: https://www.livefpl.net/rank_tiers

What constitutes inactive though? I know plenty of active managers who won’t make moves for a few weeks but still look at it

I think it's something like 6 GWs of no transfer

    Kelleher
    Gabriel, Saliba, Gusto
    Salah, Saka*, Foden, Palmer
    Watkins*, Haaland, Solanke

    (Areloa*, Garnacho, Doughty, Senesi*)

1FT + 0.2 itb (WC left but keeping for GW35)

    A) Watkins > Darwin
    B) Watkins > Cunha
    C) Roll (Garnacho 1st sub)
    D) Other ideas

Keep or sell? Anyone know details on their injuries?

Depends on your strategy. I'm going BB34 so no chance I sell Saka or Richards unless they're confirmed out for that week. Haven't heard anything on Saka but wouldn't be surprised if it was just a rest and he's back in the squad next match. Think I read Richards will be back soon and it's so hard to get anything from defenders I can afford to bench him until the DGW.
