What genre are you in the mood for?
Favourite album this year: Sleater-Kinney - Little Rope
Fav from last year: Romy - Mid-Air
Jazz recommendation: Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else
Or treat yourself to Essex's finest and get something by Sade.

Put them on the pitch and have the likes of Haaland, Palmer, Foden and whoever your other goalkeeper is on the bench and all of a sudden it's the best bench boost ever.

Need to captain Haaland, vice captain Palmer.
Best I can do is Onana, Foden, Son, Isak. 🙂

What would you do here to bench boost?

Current plan is schar and garnacho to burn and richarlison - 4

    Thanks

    Petrovic onana
    Porro Gabriel gvardiol gusto schar*
    Son foden palmer gordon garnacho

Chasing the leader in my ML by a couple of points, will probably take a -8 and playing BB. The leader will probably play the TC instead and my guess is he will put it on Haaland.
I will have a couple more dgw players then him, and its very likely he will take at least a -4.

Would you put the C on Haaland and hoping Haaland won't haul, or take a chance on someone like Gordon, Isak, Palmer instead and hope they will do better then Haaland?

My team would look something like this
    Petrovic, Onana
    Gvardiol, Burn, Gabriel, Branthwaite, RAN
    KdB, Bruno, Palmer, Gordon, Havertz
    Haaland, Isak, Jackson

    Haven't made my transfers yet.
Onana could be another gk, Burn could be Porro, and will wait for some news about Bruno...

Tricky one. By putting captain on Haaland your strategy is to minimise how far ahead of you he gets this week. Whereas if you want to win your mini league you have to risk an alternate, the risk being you fall further behind. Up to you, depends on what type of player you are, but given there's only 1 gameweek left after this, in my opinion its probably worth the risk. Palmer, Son, KDB, Foden could all theoretically outscore Haaland this week

      1. BusbySwede
        • 8 Years
        1 year, 10 months ago

Yeah it's a bit tricky.. either way i dont want Haaland to do much.
The safer option is of course just taking Haaland as C also and hope that the BB and the few differentals put me ahead.
Or take a risk and put the armband on someone else but then i first have to pick the right one of the bunch, and that player does better then Haaland..
It will be an headache until deadline i guess

Yeah either way it's a risk!

My dilemma is whether I do Gusto and Solanke out to Tarkowski/Gabriel and Jackson for a -8

I'm trying to preserve my rank, 11k, playing the bench boost, hoping that alone will get me into top 10k. Scared of Jackson's new ownership though

          1. BusbySwede
            • 8 Years
            1 year, 10 months ago

Exactly. Since im not that far behind i think i will take the safe route and put my hope in my differentals..
Im most likely doing Gusto to Burn/Porro (haven't decided on who yet) since i already have Gabriel and Branthwaite, and Solanke to Jackson.
And also take a -8 with doing Neto to a playing keeper, also haven't decided on who there either..

Thats a nice rank, Hope it works out for both of us!

So judging by Howe’s comments and his previous backtracking we can expect a full strength line up for Brighton and that includes Schar and Tripps both starting.

So Gusto might need an injury to start the second game, at Brighton?

I think the only thing you can do with Howe is look at the amount of positive sentences indicating that he might start and weigh it against the negative sentences indicating that he might not start and work out which of the two there are more of.

Best transfers here for DGW37 BB?

    A) Schar -> Burn and roll FT
    B) Schar -> Livramento and roll FT (allows funds to get Salah for 38)
    B) Schar + Saliba -> Trippier and Van De Ven (gives me an extra doubler and allows funds to do Bruno to Saka next week, but would rule out getting Salah)

    Ederson

well done mate! I've managed to claw myself up from 4.1 million in week 11 to 162k now with only 4 red arrows over 25 weeks. Feels good however i don't have any chips left so this week could be tough!

Would you bench Saka and bring in Son or Richarlison for a hit?

      1. Deulofail
        • 10 Years
        1 year, 10 months ago

You are a more impressive specimen than me!

Honestly toss a coin. If Saka was 100% fit, I would say no, consolidate your gains and let others take hits and bench arsenal players, as Saka against this Utd team is an opportunity you don't need to spurn.

However, the slight doubt over him makes it a 50/50 for me, as he could see reduced minutes or miss out entirely. If your first sub is decent, I would probably stick, as you cover off the small chance he doesn't play, but otherwise, make the move. I like Richarlison, he could score well, but I guess you have to go for Son for the minutes unless you have a plan for the money you save in GW38.

        tl;dr - idk
