    A) Trent and Muniz
    B) Munoz and Havertz?

(both will likely be played each week)

If anyone's interested... I've settled on this pending last preseason games:

        Flekken
        Munoz Andersen Robinson
        Saka Jota Mbuemo Bobb
        Haaland Havertz Isak

        Henderson Nkunku Mykolenko Konsa

Yeah! Partly because they were in good form end of last season and have good fixtures. Partly because they then rotate well with Robinson and Mykolenko. The Flekken-Henderson rotation is hard to beat and Munoz is a great attacking prospect.

Very similar to my latest draft.

I'm starting to think budget defence is the way to go... at least until my planned GW6 WC.

Very tempted to start the season with Jota. High ceiling, good fixtures and is an easy move to an Eze/Bowen type if his place becomes uncertain.Thoughts ?

If picking one, I think I'd rather have Eze who has both fixtures and guaranteed minutes on his side.

I like Jota as a riskier pick in addition to Eze mind you.

For sure Eze great pick, would just like to see how palace start first with Mateta coming back late and Olise gone and considering Liverpools great fixtures think starting with Jota is worth a chance

        Flekken
        Gvardiol Porro Mykolenko

Has anyone been watching Ipswich's preseason? Results suggest they might be working on a more solid style than the gung-ho approach they often used at home last season...?

Think I'm going with Davis anyway (kind of works both ways) but I wonder if Muric & Greaves are being a bit overlooked relative to their 4.5 / 4m counterparts

        Any LFC fans around?
For a while now I’ve been suggesting that Liverpool without Klopp will fall apart(same as United post Fergie), but that’s just my hunch, nothing else.

Looking at the fixtures, seems sensible to at least look at their players\form in case I’m very wrong in my opinion.

Which players look good in pre-season?
        Jota, Szoboszlai, Darwin?

        Is Mo worth the price?

        Any input is welcome.

I disagree, Klopp same as Fergie was massive for the club and gel holding it together.
With some key players looking like being on the other side of the hill, I envisage issues.

I guess time will tell which one of us was right.

Fergie somehow got a league title with a squad that was well and truly done. Klopp has left a Liverpool with a strong competitive squad and a relatively fresh midfield. Yes there are some key players who will need to be replaced longer term, but they can still perform at a high level. In some respects Liverpool players may have fewer distractions after the overly long Klopp leaving tour last season.

Liverpool don't have accountants and businessmen running the club
Liverpool didn't rely on one player performing miracles to get through the previous season
Liverpool didn't have the manager heavily involved in running the club, including selecting his replacement
Liverpool don't have the pressure of following 20 years of dominance weighing on them

        2. MJF
            1 year, 8 months ago

Klopp leaves behind a well run club, Fergie was a sticking plaster on a total shambles. I think the comparison is surface level.

Still lots of information to take in before GW1 deadline but still comfortable with Haaland only setup.

Still a few 50/50 picks and not clear on the best pick for certain price points.

            Henderson/Areola 4.0m
            Gvardiol Munoz Robinson 4.5m 4.0m
            Son/Saka Nkunku Eze Gordon/Jota ESR

I’d go Henderson in goal, Son to start the season over Saka and Gordon over Jota. Also think with that front line paying 5.5m for an attacker seems like a waste. Personally, I’d look to go esr and munoz to winks and Saliba/Gabriel

Not overly keen on having a dead attacking spot, seems more of waste than 5.5m 8th attacker imo.

My team will be something similar if I decide to go Solanke rather than Watkins. Only main difference would be Trent and another 5.5 mid instead of your 4th mid and Munoz.

What’s being ignored the most in pre season tinkering?

Personally think West Ham will surprise, Onana will improve Aston Villa defence massively.

Onana is a massive downgrade from Douglas Luiz, so I don’t agree.

I don’t think anyone is expecting West Ham to do poorly, they just have a rough start fixture-wise.

Just don’t think there’s much value to be had in midfield, only big hitter I’d want is Saka but doesn’t look like he’s going to start the season

Not completely terrible, but I think the impact of having Haaland, Salah and Watkins damages the rest of the team too much. If you're happy with it, then go for it!

Yeah Watkins is my most recent addition. Just think all midfield upgrades are a gamble really

Not sure if Rodri will be ready GW1? Liked the look of Elliott in the Arsenal friendly but too much doubt over what happens when Mac is back with Szoboszlai also competing for that role

Fair on Rodri wasn’t sure why I wasn’t seeing him in many teams as seems a decent pick for the price IMO

            eze/son/fernandes/nkunku

Quite like the idea of Minteh / Rogers over a 6.5 / 4.5. Not as safe but more fun and if one of the two starts hot they’ll rise in price.

              If Solanke completes his move:

              a) Solanke + 4.5
              b) Nkunku + Porro

Thinking I might go against Salah now, just had a look and can go Salah and two 4.5 defenders to a Foden/KDB plus Trent and Robertson,

When you look at it on paper like that, the option without Salah looks far more impressive.

This also gets the highest rating for any GW1 team I’ve done on the FFS app, 96% rated.

                  Pope
                  Gvadiol Trent Robertson
                  Saka Gordon Eze ESR
                  Haaland Isak C Wood

                  Bench

What do you think? If I could squeeze Raya in instead of Pope I’d likely go no Salah and C Isak in GW1 then Perma C Haaland

Looks different which in my eyes is good.
                    Anything left in bank?
I’m still waiting for this afternoons game to start looking as a couple of possible bargains could make the squads.

All money spent now, if I can find a .5 I’ll go Trent and Raya instead of White and Alisson

Cracked it, Trent and Pope to Ben White and Alisson, this might be on now.

How do you folks see Chelsea's first choice midfield lining up now they have Neto?
              Something along the lines of:

              Nkunku Palmer Neto
              Enzo/KDH Caicedo

I think Palmer will stay RW. Remember the fact it was Maresca who "converted" him to a wide player in the City Development squad.

KDH will probably get a place as he was key to everything for Leicester.
Like Palmer got plenty of goals, Maresca’s favourite last year hence taking him to Chelsea.

Looking to build a good rotation team. Have 17.0 to spend on two mids and a forward from which 2 will start and the third will be a bench option. Not fully convinced on any of the 6.5 mids plus it would leave me having to have a weaker 8th attacker to rotate.

I'm thinking of maybe two 5.5 mids and a 6.0 fwd. I'd want a Fulham player in there for sure as they have good opening fixtures. Forest, Fulham, and Brighton seem to be the best teams to go for with the budget I have and the fixtures to boot, but I wouldn't want a double up.

Which 3 would be the best to go for?

              Mids (x2)

              Minteh
              CHO
              Elliott
              Murphy
              ESR
              Andreas
              Rogers
              Brereton-Diaz

              Fwds (x1)

              Muniz
              Wood
              Joao Pedro

Currently on ESR, Minteh, and Wood.
