All depends on spurs really, we’re a huge unknown

Started last season on fire, fell away at the end, mixed pre season… I don’t think anyone really knows and it wouldn’t surprise me if we lose or won our first few games 😀

As an Arsenal fan, I'd say Spurs need to learn the dark arts. Chelsea are past masters and that game at WHL was a turning point.

Exactly, if ange can get the set plays sorted, wise up on a few things and keep Everyone fit then we have very good side

But, if these things don’t happen I could easily see things going south fast

Maddison found his feet fast last season and carried the team for a bit. Many players capable of doing that at Spurs but I dont think Solanke is one of them

Honestly feels like more sentiment for Gibbs White but I feel whenever I have given him a chance he underwhelms. Even on set piece didn't produce much for me last season and got rid.

What are everyone's thoughts on this draft? Too many risks?

    Henderson (Valdimarsson)
    TAA Porro Hall (Quansah) (Barco)
    Son Odegaard Jota Kamada Bobb
    Haaland Isak (Muniz)

To explain, I like the idea of potential value gains from Bobb and Quansah before potentially shifting them out after a few GWs.

    1. The Mentaculus

What's life without a little risk?

I like it. You've gone for a full playing squad to mitigate against one or two of Hall/Barco/Bobb/Quansah losing their place, which is pretty much what I'm doing too. All look like likely starters right now anyway

    Last choice. A or B?

    A) Van de Ven, Gordon, Smith Rowe
    B) Pedro Porro, Murphy, Nkunku

This would be go to along with:

    Henderson | Fabianski
    TAA | Gvardiol | Robinson | Barco
    Saka | Jota | Eze
    Haaland | Isak | Jebbison

I’m initially thinking A), as VDV rotates really nicely with Robinson, like the security of Gordon, and am happy to wait and see on Nkunku.

B - Mykolenko (any 4.5M DEF), Salah, Nkunku, Winks, Muniz

    Henderson, 4M

    Saliba, Robinson, Konsa, Barco, X

    Haaland, Isak, X

    A) Gvardiol and Winks(bench)
    B) Porro and Rogers(depends when on bench)

    1) Stolarczyk as backup GK as he won't drop in price
    2) Any other 4.0 GK

Son v Solanke - there's more competition for your midfield buck. FWDs, not so much.

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

I don't know about that... at the start of the last few seasons I struggled to find 3 forwards I'd be happy to own, let alone 8 (Haaland, Havertz, Isak, Solanke, Watkins, Muniz, Pedro, Mateta)

Tbf it's probably still the case that competition in Son's price bracket is more intense with Saka, Foden, Palmer etc. But I think the balance has certainly shifted

Thoughts on the below? 0.5m ITB and easy to move off Salah/Haaland for flexibility

    Pickford (Virginia)
    Porro Munoz Robinson (Hall Johnson)
    Salah Eze MGW ESR (Winks)
    Haaland Isak Solanke

Also considering Henderson (is he nailed? and not sure I want double up…), Flekken or Areola over Pickford… worth saving the 0.5m?

& what about Faes over Hall or a 4.5 over Munoz, CHO (or someone else) over MGW… ta!
