Lovely start to a non-template FPL season

😀 no sorry just meant good to see lots of decent options getting in the points, makes the template weaker. only had an alright start myself, dont own any players in this match but dont mind the best options from it getting returns

Probably just shore up the defence. He's 19, first game of the season and playing against an extra man is very tiring, and Hall has a high-energy game anyway

68 with Henderson, Gvardiol, Eze and Solanke to go... safe to say im pretty delighted with my GW1... cant remember the last season I started well. Obvs no Haaland is a worry but not letting it bring me down 😉

Dont rerally care that you dont believe me, even though it was warranted lol as I did miscalculate... it is in fact 67 not 68 ;P

        Henderson
        Gabriel / Saliba / Gvardiol
        Salah(c) / Saka / Eze / Gordon
        Isak / Solanke / Wood

        (Vald / Nkunku / Barco / Greaves)

does someone have to hand the points total Havertz would've got last season if he was a striker?

-29 in terms of pure points (13 goals, 16 CS), likely to reduce this with higher BPS from goals but unlikely positive bottom line

Either McGinn was kicked and that was a penalty or McGinn dived and should have gotten a yellow card. It has to be one or the other. No call by the ref or VAR...

They showed a replay of it and the announcers were just silent. Made no comment whatsoever.

Havertz was always a standout pick. I know many were tempted by the downgrade to Solanke and he still has to play but I do love Havertz as a pick.

Salah owner but non capper. Haaland doubler tomorrow will do nicely 🙂

Feeling pretty smug that raya has already outperformed the 6 point ceiling that all the experts gave him. Arsenal defence at under 6 mil. Yes please

It's GW1 and this was by far his best fixture in the first five. He's a good choice regardless but I don't know if it's worth feeling smug over

I don't know. I look at the fixtures and think more save points. Couldn't not go arsenal defence and he is cheaper than saliba and Gabriel and arguably has a chance of outperforming them in this run. He wasn't meant to get a save in this easy fixture let alone 3 and a bonus. I think I can feel smug if I want to but agree to disagree

    2. Saka White Rice
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 8 months ago

I'll admit I got influenced by the "experts". Made sense to go over him 0.5 less, nailed, and realistically Gabriel or Saliba would get a return like once every 6 weeks or so which balance out with the save points. Also your keeper is not a position you can rotate so another reason to go for Raya who doesn't need rotation

      1. cheekumz
        • 11 Years
        1 year, 8 months ago

Why cant you rotate keepers? Im not this season but I have in the past, in fact probably more often than not.

        1. Saka White Rice
          • 11 Years
          1 year, 8 months ago

You can but most times it just isn't optimal. CS are usually rare and hard to predict. Rotating two 4.5 gks won't get you that far they're priced at 4.5 for a reason.
