Ayew is just a waste of footballing space. Always looks disgruntled and rarely does something good.

Keeps the ball for too long even when a pass is the easier obvious option.

    I’m currently on:

    A) Muñoz
    B) L Martinez
    C) Van de Ven

Man city fielding 2 wingers who like to cut inside and shoot.
Could lead to fewer goals for Haaland without the assist threat of Grealish and Foden.

For those not watching the game..

Eze is an easier keep, haul not far and every good Palace attack is centred around him. Should have had at least a goal and an assist had it not been for incompetent officiating from both the ref and the var.

Munoz started playing as a rwb with very advanced positioning til they resorted to back 4 around 80th min or so. Another keep if you have.

Mbeumo and Wissa haven't had many chances but combine well in transition and have points in them. Keep if you have but probably avoid til fix become better.

To play devil's advocate, the exact same thing happened with Eze in GW1 last season - and he undelivered against the likes of Mitoma & Mbuemo for a few weeks.

      Deja vu...

      1. Qaiss
        • 10 Years

If the referee blew his whistle 1 second later, Eze would be on an 8/9 pointer

        Bad luck, not Deja vu

Yeah. I went Eze over mbumo last year too. as olise have due back after first international as cost alot of points

Think there are more alternatives to just Ayew this year and Wharton and Munoz too. Squad id better with Olise money

    2. Bushwhacker
      • 7 Years

there was no VAR ; ref blew his whistle before it went in for the foul by Hughes.

Well done. I think the algorithms/whatever ever so lightly preferred Flekken this week didn't they?

I went against that, in hindsight, better judgement, but was happy what I saw from him.

  23. thegaffer82

When you play your WC I know that you keep banked transfers, but you don’t get another banked transfer in the week you wildcarded right?
So if I played it this GW, I’d have 1ft going into GW 3 and not two?

    1. mvtaylor
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 15 Years

I really don't think you keep a banked transfer over a wildcard, and I'd say with even more certainty you don't gain one.

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

(So yes if you WC in GW2 you'd have 1 FT for GW3).

You definitely keep banked transfers over Wildcard. Up to a max of 5.

I used to be with 'it', but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it' anymore and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

Mate, you need to check the rule changes this year in FPL.
You can now bank up to 5 transfers, and you can WC and keep the banked ones.
            Very important stuff 🙂

Eze did look good in some spells.
Although, this result is hardly surprising and Palace were unlikely to upset the applecart against Brentford.

Yeah if Eze is staying at Palace I’m going to have to find a way to fit him in.

He could’ve had two goals and an assist easily on another day

That's the problem, he'd be valued much higher wearing a Man City shirt, even if he lost the set piece, penalty threat.
Phil Foden is a prime example of this.

Eze plays for Crystal Palace, and there's a reason he's valued at 7.0m.
