    How good were Chelsea today? I didn’t see the game & the underlying numbers suggest they massively over performed. I tend to value the eye test over underlying data myself though so curious to get some perspective. Was it a freak result or were they good for it? Also, how good did Palmer look?

      I’m a Chelsea supporter.
      The second half was the best football we have played in a very long time.
      Palmer Unreal as always
      Madueke underrated very good.
      Neto & Felix looked great.
      Our defence was dreadful. Same as always

      this is why the design of fpl is a joke. how are you going to change prices 7 days a week? on a "fantasy" level it forces people to guess and make decisions based on a total lack of news/information. it also exposes the true intent of fpl, force people to check the site 7 days a week.

      they shouldnt change prices until at least 3 full days after the current week is over. and if the next week starts sooner than that, then so be it, adjust to the last possible day for the price changes. but doing it this way instantly jacks up the luck/randomness factor because, if you are trying to navigate price changes, you have to do it before you have information

      ive said this before, and ill say it again, this is a marketing tool, not a fantasy game

          no ill play it because its the only game in town and I love the premier league. but as a 25 year player of american fantasy sports, I have to tell you guys, there is a better way. you shouldnt have to just accept the format they give you, but I guess you do since the league itself is running the only fantasy game available. too bad they treat it as a marketing tool and not an actual fantasy game. still fun, but the design is flawed on so many levels.

          in america, the pro leagues dont run the fantasy games. they embrace them and love that people play because its the lifeblood of heir viewership. but the individual fantasy player has an infinite amount of ways to play the game because you can join any format you want, and you can customize your leagues to be as hardcore or laid back as you want.

          Ive run my football league for 20 years and we tweak the rules every year to make the competition better. again, I get that fpl is worldwide and run by the pl, but if they treated it like a real fantasy league, they wouldnt do dumb stuff like 7 days a week price changes.

          they could make it free AND also make rules that make sense on a competitive level (ie - give people the ability to make decisions based on real information - no price changes 7 days a week, make the price change algorithm fully transparent, honor scoring changes more than an hour after games end, etc)

    FPL can be ruthless when you try to go against the mainstream. Decided to go without Haaland and spread out the funds but in hindsight it wasn't wise with the most of the players backed (Solanke, Garnacho, Nkunku, Isak and Watkins) simply didn't produce the goods.
