Haaland/Salah attempts, if I would lose one for me it would be Haaland

    Wildcard A
    Raya 4m
    Robbo Faes Lewis Aina Robinson
    Salah Palmer Smith-Rowe Rogers Soucek
    Haaland Pedro Havertz

    Wildcard B
    Raya 4m
    Trent Faes Konsa Porro Robinson
    Salah Palmer Smith-Rowe Rogers Soucek
    Haaland Pedro Wissa

B would be 4-4-2, would be Wissa/Pedro rotation, but no Arsenal attack..

ARS attack I would prefer, and letting go one of Salah/Haaland may be better ...

By skipping Pool def, you can have all of Saka, Salah, Haaland and Palmer, able to downgrade the one you'll not want over time, instead of switching between them the next 3-4 weeks:

      Raya (Fab)
      Konsa, Robinson, Lewis (Faes, Mazraoui)
      Saka, Palmer, Salah, ESR, Rogers
      Haaland, Pedro (Jebbison)

Hey folks, looking at WC timeline. Has anybody researched which week is better, WC6 or WC7? At glance it seems I prefer WC7 (team dependant perhaps). Ta!

I think it's all relative. I usually look for international break with heavy trading to try and generate value as well as setting up team. 5 trade banking has changed things as well probably

No matter whether it's now of week 7 you'll still want 3 premiums out of Salah, haaland, Palmer, saka.. both taa and saliba along with Raya and a mid priced forward to form the spine of one's team. So getting that setup now and utilising the upto 5 fts rule to move the cheapos around based on fixtures means setting a wildcard at any point is fine

Any Haaland owners out there considering a switch to a Salah team? I'm on a WC and team looks a lot better, just the glaring lack of Haaland that scares me. Option A looks better yeah?

    A) Salah - TAA - Isak - Gabriel - Flekken
    B) Jota - Robertson - Haaland - Lewis - Raya

    1. Unliklinho

      I'm sticking with Haaland myself.
Captaining him only in GWs 4,7 and 9 might bring you as many points as Salah gets for that whole period...

Salah is not some bum - without AFCON his score at the end of the season will be right up there with Haaland's (assuming no injuries).

    Raya
    Taa Saliba Robinson (Konsa Greaves)
    Saka Palmer Eze Esr Rogers
    Haaland Wissa (Pedro)
    0.1 in the bank

Wissa covers Pedro this week and GW 6, and Esr in Gw 7.. Hopefully I can rack up 3 to 4 Fts by Gw 7. Bench is a bit too strong with konsa but decided to play safe since im letting go of my safety net ie Wildcard.

Cheers. Started the season with saliba and loathe to get rid. They can keep CSs vs anyone. Gvardiol offers no attacking threat for now and id always trust arsenal over city for clean sheets(plus the sl8ght niggle of a doubt that Ake or someone else will play over gvardiol)

I am confused between saliba and gabriel though

That's fair, though I feel like that may change once Walker comes back in and Gvardiol pushes forward again. Keep Saliba IMO, he is the most nailed long term.

I had no intention of WC but here we are. Would appreciate some feedback and ideas.

    Raya
    Saliba. Digne. Robinson
    Rogers. Jota. Diaz. Saka. Palmer
    Haaland. Muniz

    4.0. Welbeck. Bednarek. Johnson.

    My concerns;
I think Welbeck and Muniz rotate well.
    Maybe to cheap in Defense?
    Better 4.5 defenders?
Am I better dropping Saka or Palmer and Diaz for Salah?

    1. The Iceman
      • 3 Years

IMO there are enough cheap enablers doing well for you to get Salah and Haaland - long term he will outscore both Jota and Diaz.

Personally I think the whole point of having Diaz and Jota (or another LFC player) is to negate not having Salah.
E.g I don’t have Salah but I do have Trent and Jota.
In GW1 Salah hit 14 but my Jota and Trent combo got 8 each for 16 points total. You also have a good player in defence and midfield as opposed to one great player.
In GW2 Salah hit 10 points but my Jota and Trent combo got 6 each for 12.

Currently I’m considering downgrading Trent for Konate whilst keeping Jota, this allows me to add Palmer.
Personally I think if you have two decent LFC players you’ll be ok without Salah.
Finally I’d choose a Liverpool defender + one of Jota or Diaz as they may be rotated.

    Raya 4m
    Robbo Konsa Robinson (Faes Aina)
    Salah Palmer Smith-Rowe Rogers Soucek
    Haaland Havertz (Pedro)

Soucek looks more dangerous this season so would work as a 5th Mdf.

If you WC now with a saved transfer (so 2 total) how many free transfers would you get next week?

this - i assuming you lose all?

Diaz, Isak > Palmer, Wissa is tempting with 2FT’s.

      No it isn’t.

Palmer likely to be 40% owned. I’ve started well, I don’t want that to be undone by those captaining Palmer this week.

Good captaincy option GW 5 too when Haaland has Arsenal if I decide to go against Salah.

Diaz likely to be benched GW 4, with International Break. Happened every time under Klopp.

I wouldn't want to lose Isak just yet.

Understandable, you’d think Newcastle pick it up a few gears at home to Spurs.

Tough one, Gordon was excellent vs Spurs last season.

Is Bryan Mbeumo on penalties for Brentford (assuming Toney isn't on the pitch)? I am tempted to bring him in now instead of planning ahead for GW6.

      Would assume so

Very likely, can’t see what new factor would be in play to take him off them. Only issue would be if Toney doesn’t secure a move away before the deadline.

    Raya (vald)
    Muniz Porro Gvardiol (HB, Faes)
    Saka Gordon ESR Jota (winks)
    Haaland(c) Isak Muniz

Looking to keep my nerve and hold. Muniz is a worry, maybe HB to start?

Uh Munoz that is (at the back)

Munoz is a worry, but in truth he looked good GW 1 and West Ham did a number on Palace.

More than ever, you’re relying on attacking returns, but Palace will have to sure up until they pick up some points.

Looking at next three gameweeks, if on a wild card Jota looks a better pick than Saka. So Jota a better pick?

saka can stay full season in your squad if no injuries, not the same with jota i'd say

    3. Bushwhacker

Saka tends to play full games. Better option.

You’d need a plan for Saka and potentially Havertz for GW 6, I think.

      Leicester H
      Southampton H

Nearly as good as it gets.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that's signing a centre-back and right-winger is NOT possible this week.

Reporter: "Can you sign a right-winger and centre-back?"

    Eddie Howe: "Probably not, no."
