    2.3 ITB for Solanke

Saka's just a well known quantity, consistent, plays for a consistently top 2 team, still young and improving too etc. We've had barely a season of Palmer at a volatile club with a new manager. No doubt he'll do well but Saka will too.

Why get rid of Bowen? He's a good price for a consistently good player, newly made captain of his club so nailed on, on pens, in his prime and his team are starting to gel. He's also a massive differential as few have him. I made the mistake of taking him out of my final draft last season but put him in this time and he's already paying off. Do we even know how much game time Madueke will get??

Decent start (~400k rank) but WCing as felt Palmer was essential and had Solanke who needed to go. Wildcard team is shaping out to be

    Flekken 4.0
    TAA Porro Gabriel Faes 4.0
    ESR Saka Palmer Jota Rogers
    Haaland Evanilson Pedro

What do you guys think? Too light upfront - other options are to
    A. go with Wissa instead of Evanilson
    B. Switch Saka + Evanilson -> Gordon + Havertz

    Thoughts?

Palmer isn't playing Wolves every week. 400k without any chips is great. WC after 2 game weeks just because Palmer vs Wolves is nuts

I think people have to accept that you can’t have them all this year, Palmer is now essential because Wolves spread their legs, what happens if Palace shut him out & Saka hauls big v Brighton, is he now essential? Or Isak runs riot v Spurs with Wolves up next? All these players can score against anyone, it’s the budget picks who’s fix runs matter.

You will miss points this year but the way the pricing is done so well, you’ll gain points too to balance it up. I don’t have Salah, Palmer or Son, sitting on 177 points right now because I had other players who did their jobs, it’s going to be that sort of season because of the pricing.

Thank you all, thoughts much appreciated. I also agree that WC is a bit nuts (and I have not pressed the button yet) but at the same time think this year WC is less of a penalty given you carry over more FTs. I will for example now carry over 3 FTs to GW4 which is already pretty handy.

It is what it is. Just remember next time if a player is injured they flag him up pretty quickly and his price is locked until he returns from injury (I held) I knew the max he would drop is .1 before hes flagged luckily he didnt even drop that… But once hes back and bangs in a double in his first game back and hos flag gets taken off hes going up at least .4

Exactly my dilemma as well..currently on the 2nd draft structure but we all know the risk.

How many times do you see yourself captaining Haaland between now and GW7? If I do go with Haaland, can only see myself captaining him vs Brentford at home, when his fixture is arguably no better than Salah/Palmer?

Feel like I want to go without but need someone to tell me it’s ok haha

It’s ok. I’m on the no Haaland version too for the reason you mention. Tried both no Haaland and Salah options on WC and the non Haaland gives a better team

      Why not just

      A ESR Haaland Jebbison
      or
      B Saka Watkins Wissa

Prefer A but just feel like Jota is a transfer waiting to happen and of all the big hitters I'd be happiest passing on Trent. I'm on the below:

      Raya
      Gvardiol, VDV, Lewis
      Salah, Palmer, ESR, Rogers
      Haaland, Havertz, Pedro

      (Fabianski, Robinson, Nedeljkovic, Winks)

Any Brighton fans here who can help me, or someone with more insight than me:

Is Mitoma worth the extra over Minteh?

I have funds for both but going Mitoma means no Watkins for gw4

Not sure but he's a swell guy isn't he, Mitoma?

If it means no Watkins, then Minteh is an obvious choice.

Maybe better to ask like this:

      A) Nkunku —> Minteh & Isak —> Watkins (GW4)

      B) Nkunku —> Mitoma & 8.8m for a new forward…

Both rotation risks, and Wolves was really bad, can’t see Madueke get more than 2-3 points on average.

Maybe worth a punt if your bench is strong, but personally I would go Smith Rowe, Minteh or Rogers

Rice is FPL irrelevant so yeah

Rice is defo not irrelevent, he was the biggest scoring DM last year just ahead of Rodri.
As I remember something like the 7th best m/f scorer in the game.
At his price he can be a useful weapon because all the baa baa's are doing the obvious.

Doubt he matches last year's GI tally so paying too much for inconsistent scoring

I wouldn't be so sure about that, when Ramsey had that miraculous season he was often ridiculed here by peeps because he was essentially a box to box player, and they failed to embrace his points.

I got Ramsey that season think for 5.5m He was much attacking in the double pivot

We could could get in to semantics here but he was essentially a d/m. Yes he did get forward more hence the box to box explanation.
Personally, I can see similarities between the two and it would not surprise me if Rice betters last seasons tally making him a weapon at his price point.
He could be this season's Ramsey.

If Rogers continues like he has he’ll be the best 5m mid for sure. As I understand he’s playing as an attacker, not DM

Yes, I've done it. Also Madueke is in good price range, so if he blanks or seems after a couple of games he isnt starting regularly, there are a lot of good options in that range to sell him for

    My team

    Flekken Henderson
    Saliba Robinson Hall Faes Quansah
    Salah Saka ESR Rogers Wink
    Haaland Isak Wood

    2FT

    Quansah to mykolenko?

    Or

    Any sacrifice to get TAA?

    1. If Solanke is fit, sell Son to Palmer on FT?

    2. If Solanke is unfit, sell him and Gordon for Palmer and fodder on 2FTs.

Want to bring in Palmer this week for sure.

    Which move is better?

Pulled the trigger for Nkunku/Solanke -> Rogers/Watkins before the price drops, which gives me:

    Henderson
    Saliba, Porro, Robinson
    Saka, Gordon, Jota, Rogers
    Haaland (C), Watkins, Isak

    Turner, Konsa, Winks, Barco

    GTG or Konsa over Porro?
