    Yesterday I thought my season is over as I was on 5.5 million - Salah(c) Eze Isak and TAA has given me hope - now at 1.8 million

        I can't without selling also Jota to 4.9 or downgrading Palmer. Otherwise it is -8, and that's too much imo. Saka to Diaz is naturally affordable though.

      The problem is that they both have over 60% EO, so you can do really well on your other 10 players, but if the one you don't own scores 15 points you drop 1M in OR.

      Of course, if you can predict when this happens, you can manage to avoid it.

      its the defence for me. love owning taa/robbo/porro (soon to be Gabriel or White). just cant get onboard with the cheapies this season

      if Palace could turn it around with chalobah and lacroix to make Munoz and Mitchell ball then maybe its a different story

      51 PTS from them two alone, assuming you captained one of the two. Stick them both in and build your team from there, it's that simple.

      Same opinion, players of that price generally only worth ROI if regularly made captain.
      However if the 8-10 price range aren't performing than that changes things if the 5.5-7.5 can come close to the 8-10 in pts

    Would you sell Isak for Joao Pedro if it meant being able to upgrade Bailey to Mbuemo and catch the prices rises?

    Otherwise will just do Bailey to Mitoma/Minteh for the short term….

      Not sure Mbeumo is the one for the next 2, could be that you go Mitoma and then Mitoma > Mbeumo GW 6/7.

        No real qualms about Mbuemo vs Spurs, so it’s really just the issue of Mbuemo (mci) instead of Mitoma (IPS)… and also missing out on Isak (wol) but getting Pedro (IPS)

    1.2 mil drop after a reasonable start to the season. Proves that trying to get ahead of the game doesn’t pay off most of the time. Should have just stuck with Isak so he could get his goal and man of match after doing literally nothing else for 90 mins! Captaining Palmer over Haaland was a bit silly the way he’s started the season but thought WH at home (and Utd with Salah) would be a LOT better this weekend. Playing catch up it is again for me then!

          Obviously the next fixture is good, but the two after aren’t fantastic (although Newcastle looking a little stale).

          I like Lewis, a lot. The problem is you have to reflect on the type of manager you are. Lewis looks incredible value, especially the positions he takes up and the xmins so far.

          But, Pep is unpredictable. If you go Lewis you’ve got to anticipate a benching that literally makes zero sense.

          Moreover, I would temper my expectations because he’s only a defender after all and how often have you had a great rank due to a cheap defender…it’s rare!

    Why do people say they have made drastic errors and mistakes based on having good fpl asset X rather than good fpl asset Y? Yeah Diaz was always way better than Jota, yeah should never have got Palmer this week instead of Salah. If the scores were reversed are they still mistakes?

      Decisions vs outcomes are two different things but you don’t get points immediately for a good decision that had a bad outcome so I can understand why people get frustrated…it’s a coping mechanism for many, me included!
