I've got the same issue with Isak (don't own Pedro), but I need a one week punt before I wildcard next week. Thinking maybe Vardy takes it due to Everton's horrific current form?

    Wildcard

Would you have Salah and Haaland?

Seems to be a shortage of premium and mid range midfielders this season.

Palmer is expected to run and press more. Output is down from last season.

Son is 32 playing on the wing.

Foden struggling to get a central slot.

Saka output possibly weakened by the Odegaard injury.

Bowen is playing a different role and less of a goal threat.

Gordon and NEW struggling for creativity.

Maybe the play is a front 8 that can be rotated based on fixtures with a strong defence until midfield options settle and find form.

    Thoughts ?

Same. The rest of the team suffers and you can only captain one player. All personal preference of course.

Any fantasy sports game I play, the majority is FPL, you don't buy high overpriced assets based on last season breakout. Palmer last season returns G+A seems like he is tempting underpriced but he got 9 penalties and so far seems like ref directive is to be more conservative in awarding penalties. I still think he's a short term avoid and the Wolves game return was outlier as Ait-Nouri was so bad and has been removed from defensive line

I'm sticking to my plan of only owning one at a time (not that it's going very well so far...). Don't see any fixtures up to GW12 where I'd captain Salah over Haaland (except maybe in GW6 but the rest of my team need the WC then). Of the others you list, I'm going with Foden, Saka & Bowen (triple ARS & MCI)

    5. Hairy Potter
      • 10 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

I think I'm going to be happy with Haaland and Salah when I WC. I'll probably hold Havertz for a piece of the Arsenal attack.

I don't see the value in Palmer at his price. Foden needs to play before I'm interested in him. I haven't seen enough of a genuine cutting edge from Spurs for Son's price. Gordon and Bowen are options that can do something in spite of their team, so one may find their way into my GW6 WC.

Given form, I would like to hold my WC longer to see if any options emerge, but feel like my team needs surgery soon.

Have a bad feeling this week that a lot of my players won’t start and with a non existent bench unsure how to play it as looking to WC in GW6. WC this week not an option really.

    Minutes prediction for below players

    Jota
    Rogers
    Muniz
    Isak.

I have the same 4 and think that Jota & Rogers start (Jota to be subbed at 60 or so and Rogers may or may not play all 90).
Isak is either 90 or 0 and should find out closer to deadline.
Muniz will be on bench and probably a 1pt cameo imo

Jota is not even a great pick right now based on returns and minutes. Having said that I did captain him (h) to Bournemouth last season and it turned out very well. Still prefer Palmer. Bournemouth are very well organised under Iraola, not the team we knew 2-3 years ago.

They say form over fixtures, right? That would have to be McNeil but it is a bit scary because Rogers is in the better team and is playing well despite no returns. Schade is a wait and see for me.

Hate the uncertain Isak news. I was looking forward keeping him for pretty good Fulham away and just moving Muniz to DCL.

If Isak is a no show, I will get THB (IPS) from the bench which is not the worst but probably 0-2p. Thus Isak to Watkins is very tempting, however, that would would rule out getting Saka for Jota in gw6 due to budget restrictions.

When I click the WC button in the site it says : "This chip cannot be cancelled after you play it, unless you have not yet made a cost transfer this Gameweek." That's why I think I still have a chance.

From Gw5 onwards (about 4 matches period forward). Isak and Jota to

    A) Saka + Solanke (or max 7.5 fwd)
    b) Watkins + Jota/Mbuemo/Bowen (have Jota now, that would save an ft)
    c) else?

PS: Munoz is also going out somewhere in gw6/7.

    Areola
    Gab Rob Munoz (THB, Johnson)
    Salah Eze Esr JOTA*
    Haaland Dcl ISAK*

Could have postponed the decision and save ft and hold Isak over the Watkins scenario, then next week reassess when Arsenal's fixtures turn.

but Isak is now very uncertain and if he is a no show this week, it means THB from the bench.

Do we know if Isak has trained or not? Don't like the uncertainty and they have City next.

He wasn't in the training photos from earlier in the week. There are no reliable ITKs for Newcastle line up leaks. All we have to go on is that Howe said he's a doubt for the match.
