Gameweek 9 saw the Triple Captain chip widely used – but it was still not the most popular window of 2024/25 so far.

In this article, we look at Fantasy Premier League (FPL) chip usage this season and make a long-overdue check-in with LiveFPL.

There were 330,035 Triple Captain chips deployed in Gameweek 9.

  That’s nice of you to say. Thanks to you. Real life has thrown some pretty awful stuff at me the past couple of years. I try to remind myself of that when I play this silly game (you’re feeling down because of actual life, not FPL) but stupid as it sounds, you (or at least I) lose sight of that all too frequently. Lots of nice folk on here trying to have a nice time playing a game that’s meant to be fun - let’s try and keep it that way as best we can. I’m having my worst ever season and trying to extract some enjoyment from that somewhere along the line!

    It’s a subjective interpretation obviously, but within the rules could absolutely be viewed as an assist.
    
    Whereas when they change the Son one that was pretty objectively wrong.

  Clearly an assist by the FPL rulebook. Sels intended target was Wood, or at least the player up top. Faes' header didn't affect that header - it still reached Wood.
  
  Of course in a real world sense the header absolutely made it easier for Wood but the ball basically just kept on going forward, no big change in direction.
  
  100% chance that sticks IMO.
