There will be a focus on Double Gameweek assets, as well as who we expect to haul and have the biggest impact on your points total.
Don’t forget, you can make changes to your Fantasy EFL team, including player/club picks and captaincy right up until kick-off.

TOP PICKS – GOALKEEPERS
Jak Alnwick – Cardiff City (vs Norwich City H, Luton Town A)
Alnwick (G) is the most in-form goalkeeper in the EFL at the moment, and his two fixtures this Gameweek, making him an enticing option. Cardiff City play Norwich on Saturday and have a second fixture against Luton Town on Wednesday. He has kept clean sheets in four of his last five games for the Bluebirds, averaging 6.8 Fantasy points per game over this period. This form is likely to carry over into this Gameweek, with a clean sheet against Luton looking particularly likely due to their poor record of 14 goals scored in 12 games. The attacking-minded Canaries will be a more difficult test for Alnwick, but considering the form that the goalkeeper has been in, it’s impossible to rule out the possibility of two clean sheets this Gameweek. He is a hugely underrated Fantasy option with only 0.1% ownership, and he is certainly worth consideration.

Michael Cooper – Sheffield United (vs Blackburn Rovers A, Bristol City A)
Sheffield United’s Michael Cooper (G) is another keeper who should be considered for your Fantasy EFL teams ahead of Gameweek 13. He will play on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers (A), before facing Bristol City on Tuesday. Considering his incredible record for the Blades, it will not be a surprise if he manages to keep clean sheets in both matches. He has the joint-most clean sheets in the division this season, registering seven in just 10 games, and faces two misfiring attacks this Gameweek. Even when he fails to keep a clean sheet, he usually registers multiple points from saves – he has only scored less than four Fantasy points once this season. At just 2.4% ownership, he is being overlooked this season and is arguably the best goalkeeper for DGW13.
TOP PICKS – DEFENDERS
Dennis Cirkin – Sunderland (vs QPR A, Bristol City A)
Cirkin (D) is the obvious top pick in defence, combining form, fixtures and overall dominance this season to be the perfect option to be the first name in your Gameweek 13 squad. He averages an incredible 8.2 Fantasy points per game, and only needs two more points to cross the 100-point threshold on Fantasy EFL! The Black Cats have ideal fixtures, playing QPR on Saturday before facing Preston North End on Wednesday. These teams have combined for just 24 goals scored in 24 games. Therefore, Sunderland’s defensive dominance should shut both sides down and add two more clean sheets to their total. Cirkin has seven clean sheets in 12 games, alongside one goal (+7) and three assists (+9) to his name. Coupled with their ideal fixtures, Cirkin is a standout defender.

Junior Firpo – Leeds United (vs Plymouth Argyle A, Millwall H)
Firpo (D) will return after his one-game suspension and is set to feature in both of Leeds United’s Gameweek 13 fixtures. Despite having ownership of 7.7%, this is less than teammate Pascal Struijk (D) at 8.9%. He’s averaged 6.9 points and is a great option for DGW13. The Pilgrims have failed to score in six of their 12 games this season, while Millwall have only three goals in their last five league games. These poor offensive numbers should see the Whites register two clean sheets this Gameweek. The 28-year-old full-back’s attacking output this season has been impressive, with three assists and a goal in 11 appearances. A match against Plymouth’s porous defence presents an ideal opportunity to return once again.
TOP PICKS – MIDFIELDERS
Finn Azaz – Middlesbrough (vs Coventry City H, QPR A)
Azaz (M) is one of the most in-form players in the Championship at the moment, and his Gameweek 13 fixtures are appealing. The Sky Blues and the R’s have been poor defensively this season, conceding 36 goals in 24 games combined. The 24-year-old has taken 14 SoT this season and 33 key passes, making goal contributions extremely likely due to the sheer volume of chances he creates. With two assists and a goal (+6) in his last four league matches, Azaz is a great option for your Fantasy EFL sides.
Luke O’Nien – Sunderland (vs QPR A, Bristol City A)
O’Nien (M) is another obvious Fantasy option for those playing on Saturday. The Black Cats midfielder is one of the highest-scoring players in the game this season despite playing out of position at centre-back. His opponents have 36 goals conceded combined this season in just 24 games, and O’Nien has been solid in attack with two assists and a goal in 12 appearances. He has paired these goal contributions with 17 interceptions on the season, a highly impressive number which have contributed to almost half of his 72 Fantasy points this season. With two away matches for Regis Le Bris’ side, we expect O’Nien to contribute heavily and secure a double-digit return.
TOP PICKS – FORWARDS
Borja Sainz – Norwich City (vs Cardiff City A, Sheffield Wednesday A)
Sainz (F) is far and away the standout Fantasy pick for Gameweek 13. Both of his opponents have conceded 18 goals this season in just 12 games each. Sainz is the most in-form player in the EFL, registering an incredible four goals and two assists in his last four matches. This has led him to an impressive 94 Fantasy point total, earning him a massive 14.7% ownership, and he should be the primary focus for all managers to select in their teams ahead of Gameweek 13. He has scored 10 (+50) and assisted two of Norwich’s 22 goals this season, meaning a haul is highly likely for the dynamic winger if Norwich fulfil expectations and continue their unbeaten run.

Mohamed Belloumi – Hull City (vs Portsmouth H, Oxford United A)
Belloumi (F) is our last top pick for Saturday’s games – the Tigers forward is in good form and has ideal fixtures. The 22-year-old has two goals and an assist in eight appearances this season, managing eight points in his Gameweek 12 fixture through an assist (+3), four key passes (+2) and two SoT (+1). His creativity combined with his high shots on target output makes him an exciting differential pick this Gameweek, with just 0.2% ownership. With Portsmouth conceding a staggering 25 goals in 12 games and Oxford United struggling to keep clean sheets, Belloumi is in an excellent position to contribute goals or assists in both fixtures.
