Luck can play such a huge part. Lost my H2H because of:

    Maz getting substituted before 60
Saka handing over the ball to Ode to take that pen
Hall conceding in the last minute

    What a frustrating gameweek.

As I said to someone else re Saka, it was lucky he gave Odegaard the penalty he won and not the one Fabianski took Gabriel's head off on or he'd be down an assist too

I too suffered from Hall and Maz.

Benching Salah was my own fault though.

With hindsight, why did I think João Pedro, Mbeumo and Cunha would outscore him.

Week 10 & 11 was fine not owning Saka, Week 12 ouch that hurt, so even though Mbeumo had Leicester in 13 I took a hit to swap for Saka. Did yesterday not owning Saka hurt your rank ?

Does it make sense to strengthen bench in this busy period?

Bench is Fabianski - Rogers - Keane** - Faes

Have a spare transfer as my first 11 is fine. Was thinking Keane out for kerkez so I've got a solid bench. Or is it a waste of a FT?

I'm a fan of having a strong bench, especially with the fixtures coming thick and fast. Keane and Faes are players you'd never want to see in your starting XI. For a pittance more, it's worth going from Keane to Kerkez if the rest of your team is set

Are Arsenal still deemed to be the strongest defence in FPL narrative.

I've thought that was Liverpool for a while and both Man Utd and Forest continue to post their own compelling case too.

If you want Jackson long term and it'll leave you room to use your transfer next week on another move then C. Taking hits don't need to be made back in that week and need to be viewed over a number of weeks. For example if you get Jackson next week on a free transfer instead then you'll miss out on another possible transfer that week or it'll have to be pushed out another week and so on.

Love the Palmer upgrade, not so sure on AWB. How much do you have to spend on a defender once you bring Palmer in? For example, can you stretch to Joe Gomez?

I like it. Palmer should pay that back over next few weeks plus he's likely to be most popular captain pick this week too.

I woke up in the middle of the night because I accidentally slept and didn’t buy Jackson just to see that the price changes were already in…

    Great Scouts.
Just an easy one early morning

    A) play Isak
    B) play b.johnson
    C) a hit to get bowen
    D) a hit to get Jackson/watkins

Probably B - there's goals in that game.

Planning to bring in Jackson for wood for a hit, and bench Wissa.
Sound good, or anything else more pressing?
    Arsenal def in next week

    Henderson
    Gvardiol RAN Davis
    Salah Saka Palmer Son Rogers
    Pedro Wissa

    Valdi Wood Hall Harwood-Bellis

Honestly, I'd consider saving to start both Wissa and Wood. Both Villa and City not defending well whatsoever.

Jackson has high upside this gameweek, but I see your point. Will consider, thanks!

    Which 2 would you play?

    1) Lewis
    2) Hall
    3) Myko
    4) Greaves

Or take -4 to replace one?

    1. The Iceman

      3412 in that order. I wouldn't take a hit.

Why is everyone selling Wood, am I missing something?

I wanted Jackson with his prime fixtures, Wood's only shot vs Ipswich at home came from pen...now 2 away games in Manchester, not saying he won't score but probably more upside in Jackson

Yeah more upside elsewhere, look at Jackson’s fixtures for example!

Best thing about this week besides the extra football is there won't endless mundane content between matches for me to waste my time on. Straight into a deadline tomorrow, games until Thursday, deadline Saturday. Lovely stuff.

I don't know, I enjoy thinking over and over each decision I make, this schedule leaves you little time for that.
