Every time I post about my team on X or on Youtube, I am told to sell a certain Erling Haaland (£14.9m). Despite not captaining Cole Palmer (£11.1m) in the last Gameweek, my FPL season has finally found some momentum. Contrary to popular opinion, it is possible to do alright with having Haaland in my team.

I currently am sitting on triple Arsenal defence and the main threat to my ranks are Bukayo Saka (£10.6m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m) and Alexander Isak (£8.6m). Having a threemium of Haaland, Mohamed Salah (£13.4m) and Palmer and with three transfers accumulated, I do think that taking on all of Saka, Alexander-Arnold and Isak is a bridge too far to cross.

  Salah is more consistent, has scored more points in less minutes and arguably a much better finisher than Palmer. Take away the two penalties last week and people would have been tearing their hair out.

    If Salah had been a finisher as good as say Fowler or Shearer he would have scored 50+ goals every season if you count all competitions. He’s an absolute superstar an an all time Liverpool great but if it’s anything he could be better at it’s finishing his chances.

One thing (of many) I’ve not been able to understand with the Assistant Manager chip:

Will I pay the difference if I buy a cheap manager and then switch to a more expensive one the next GW?

Say I go with a 0.5m manager first GW it’s active. For the second week I use a FT for a 1.5m manager. Will I then pay an additional 1m?
