    Salah is a no brainer.
In form, plum fixture, let’s hope Amorim starts Casemiro & Eriksen together again.

Just seen a surprising stat on BBC that the team that’s conceded the fewest away goals this season is… Spurs! Wouldn’t have even been in my top ten guesses!

Comes down to play either Mykolenko in a 4-man defence or Enzo in a 3-4-3. Keep faith in Enzo with set pieces seems the the option with the most upside, had a xGI of 0,93 last GW. But Everton still has a great clean sheet potential. Other defenders are Lewis, Hall and Gabriel. Any advice?

Is nobody tempted to triple captain Mo this week? It strikes me he is playing every game as if it might be his last for Liverpool, what with the contract situation. Last chance to put United to the sword at Anfield? Hard to imagine him not racking up double digits again this week.

I played TC against Leicester. But, seems a good option. Can/Will he outscore DGW 24 / 25? If you think so, go for it.

I think this is the thing for me - in current form the only thing better (in FPL terms) than this fixture for Mo is 180 minutes of him in an imminent DGW.

        • 10 Years

The certainty that Mo is fit and firing. 90 minutes are guaranteed against United with no threat of rotation. There is an opportunity cost as well as other chips may prove more valuable in a double gameweek, but I’ll admit I haven’t bothered to work that out yet

As much as I admire and love Salah, is there any point in carrying about how he does this week? Gains will be minimal if he hauls and, at the same time, you won't lose much if he blanks as almost everyone will (c) him. Kinda pointless topic right now, will be interesting for the GW21 tho.

    1. Mainoo Magic

Agree how he does won't really make any difference as pretty much every engaged and active manager will own and captain him.

JianBatra is going Palmer over Salah atm (talks about it around 13 mins here: https://youtu.be/1NLz6lOMzcc?si=K_9b-WeUCArasQaW). He’s one of the CCs I really like (not a stats / AI manager, more tactics focused) but still feels an unnecessary risk to me

All you can kind of go off IMO is that Man Utd have been ‘ok’ in some big away games i.e. 2-0 to Arsenal GW14 with Saka/Havertz/Martinelli/Odegaard blanking (goals from Timber/Saliba), 1-2 vs. Man City GW16 with Haaland/Foden blanking (goal from Gvardiol) and of course 0-0 vs. Liverpool at Anfield last season.

But Liverpool looked so deadly vs. West Ham and more importantly I don’t see massively higher upside in Palmer anyway given Chelsea looking a bit lacklustre, Palace not been walkovers, it being an away game etc. If anything I’d prefer a massively inform Isak or Haaland with KDB back vs. that patchy West Ham defence.

A case could be made for Palmer last week, but it's objectively Salah this.

I don't see much going for Palmer. Haaland and Isak bit more of a potential angle (26-27 big chances conceded for TOT/WHU in last 6 vs. 11-12 for MUN/CRY)

Jian's gone against the grain a few times this season. I'm unsure if he genuinely thinks its the way to go or he's just trying to be a bit edgey for clicks.

I’ve been on Pedro for a bit and he’s just become a bit of a trap for me! Never scores when I have him. I take
Your point about Rogers but I do really like the midfield. I could go Sarr to Roger’s and maybe Mateta up top as keen to target palace fixtures

This is a good point here.

Sure, you are WCing as your team is behind the curve but you may have lost the advantage against the current template. The additional benefits of a WC should also allow you to be ahead of the curve and save FTs against non-WC teams (hope this makes sense)

I'm going with haaland captain. Can't see most of this article but my thinking is:

West Ham defensively bad over last 5-6 games, even if you decide to remove the Liverpool 5-0.

    Still without fabianski.

Without bowen - not defensive, no, but will lose confidence without him.

I've got haaland....so I might as well captain him (if I'm being honest with myself...this is probably my key reason!)
