Jackson -> Gakpo a no brainer then?

      Depends who else you own.

Wood, Isak, Wissa, Cunha, Watkins etc all above Gakpo imho

Yes, Gakpo is just one Liverpool player for the double so not an ‘no brainier’ … and you will be getting him at the expense of others who will likely out score him in 24.

Darwin just had a brace, Jota is back and Liverpool aren’t carrying to many midfield or attacking injuries, so Gakpo may see his minutes managed

Gakpo has 3.4 points per match … other forwards have 5 or 6 points per match.

Gakpo a nice short term play, especially if you are going into a WC after the DGW.

Darwin isn't trusted by Slot. Jota just got re-injured (article above insinuates multiple weeks). I think Gakpo gets at least 150 minutes in the DGW.

3.4ppm does not factor in that he wasnt regularly starting until gw13 and therefore had a heap of cameos under 30 mins. Since then, he has scored 48 points in 9 matches at 5.3ppm, and hasnt even played 90 regularly until the last 5 game weeks. I think hes a great little play over the next 3 gw if you include the wolves matchup in gw25 - though he is likely be rotated in at least one game over that time. Likely Everton or Wolves.

Gakpo isn’t a bad choice, just wouldn’t call getting him a ‘no brainer’

It’s worth a shout. I’d ignore the other dude spouting Darwin had a brace and Jota is back. Most likely front 3 is Gakpo, Diaz, and Salah. Darwin will get a start here or there but Jota is the man when he is back fully fit, which nobody knows.

I would do anything i could to get rid of Jackson. The last goal I remember was Faes failing to clear a bouncing ball and Jackson ran onto it and somehow finished. I sold him 2 weeks ago for Mateta because they were top of the ticker and kind of a sleeper new PK taker. Worked out well so far.

I’d recommend Wood, Gakpo if you’re going for the double, Havertz (too many chances not to score), and JPedro because he’s affordable and on pens.

    Sels
    Gabriel Robinson Hall
    Salah(V) Mbeumo Palmer Gordan
    Wood Wissa Isak(C)

Bench: Austin (GK) Enzo Mykolenko Bednarek

    1FT
    ITB: 3.9M

I am thinking of securing 2 Liverpool players for the next 2 GW (GW23 & DGW24). Since I've got quite a bit of money ITB, I am thinking of securing TAA. But the question is, to whom should I get him instead? I have been having both Hall & Robinson for the longest time and no intention on getting rid of them.

Which of the following should I go with for GW23 FT (I waana capitalize that Liverpool vs Ipswich game)

    1) TAA > Gabriel (since Arsenal are leaking at the back)
    2) TAA > Mykolenko (but thinking of playing Myko on DGW24)
    3) TAA > Bednarek (can afford but in long term - one of these guys Myko, Hall & Robinson would be on my bench depending on fixtures)
    4) TAA > Hall
    5) TAA > Robinson

Appreciate your time and suggestion 🙂

You can’t have them all and will have to bench 2 very good single game week players like Robinson, Wissa, Mbeumo, Sels etc.

I would bring in Allison and Konate for two of your bench players for GGW24 and deal with the benching headache as best you can.

I have Salah, Konate and Diaz and will have to bench Mbeumo and Mile or Myko, while starting Gabriel and Hall.

The comment above is accurate. You might find after GW24 Myko will be a permanent bench sitter, simply because you won't want to have Hall/Robinson sitting on your bench too often. Bednarek would be an early transfer choice IMO.

Would it be better to save the transfers and play 1 or use 3 FT to play 2? No hits needed.

    1) Verbruggen Hall Watkins

    2) Allison TAA Rogers

Verbruggen vs EVE is fine, so is Hall against Saints. Watkins vs WHM also good.

So yes, I would save FT and roll with one.

With every week passing by, the conviction to do Maresca AM for avl, SOU, LEI is getting stronger!

TC Salah for lei+avl in GW33 looking alright.

    FH possibly in GW34

All thats left is to decide for BB and WC.

I like all of those. I would look for a BB the week following your WC, if at all possible. Just helps you position yourself nicely.

I can't trust Chelsea whatsoever myself, but in that run it makes complete sense. Just need to hope Villa don't find their legs and that they keep focusing on Europe.

Yeah, not the best side to put trust on but hopefully it goes as planned.

I'm expecting 12pts for couple of wins, 5+ points for goals scored, 2pts for a CS resulting in 19+ points which I would be happy with instead of trying for 40+ points with bottom half managers.

My only suggestion is like anytime in FPL, be fluid with your plan and if something changes and your view changes, go with your gut.

I am with you on taking the easier results, thats how I am viewing it as well - but Chelsea's form has not been pretty for a while now, probably since they beat Brentford - don't let a win against a very poor Wolves defense sell you completely on them is my only advice. No wins in 5 prior to this game and a number of those were bottom half sides. Not free scoring either.

Anyone used BB yet and how many points did you gain from it? I normally save for DGW but never really plays out that well as normally have some kind of fodder to try and squeeze 15xDGW in. Just this week tempting me a little with only 1st WC used.

    Alison,
    Gabriel, TAA, Hall
    Salah, Palmer, Gordon, Rogers
    Mateta, Wood, Isak

    Henderson (H) Brentford
    Amad (A) Fulham
    Robinson (H) Man Utd
    Estupinan (H) Everton

I dont think that bench is as friendly as it looks. Brentford and Man U unpredictable - both good chances of finding a goal. Amad v Fulham is tough. Estupinan against the new look attacking Everton is a huge question mark.

It's not a horrible idea, but I dont see any clear 'haul' opportunities. Can you hold it until after your next WC, where you can plan it to be right before a great BB opportunity? Or even when you can save a few FT's and make a mini-WC for your bench?

Thanks mate much appreciated for reply.

To be fair I think you are right plus more look at it I don’t like Amad vs Robinson.

How about lineup look about right?
This team is with using my 4FT this week which haven’t confirmed yet the transfers planned are

        Haaland, Enzo, Burgess, Turner ->
        Mateta, Gordon, TAA, Alison

Other option is opt for Pickford over Alison and Gakpo instead of Mateta. Thought saving transfers would make things fun but think makes it harder as gives more flexibility with changes

That lineup looks right to me. Fantastic use of 4 FT imo - Haaland just tying up too much cash and their fixtures are woeful coming up.

That last option is super tight, however outside of the DGW, I prefer Mateta over Gakpo by a decent margin. Pens help. Pickford I think has to be a wait and see as Everton look like they might open up and play a different style now, which may help them in the league, but will not help their defenders in FPL.

Only problem I can see is you probably won't have a playing keeper in 29 with an Alisson / Henderson (or Turner) combo. Whereas Pickford will play and you can rotate him with Henderson if you want.

I don't think the fixtures are favourable enough for either.

TC possibly for Salah but Pool will get another DGW.

AM - if it was available for GW23, then I would say go Slot for sure (IPS, bou, eve, WOL) is a pretty ideal run. Unfortunately it isn't, and that means its better to hold for a little while yet.

I actually think I will use the AM on AS. My thinking is that I'll need to use the WC, BB, FH and TC on the proper double game weeks. So a double GW and 3 winnable fixtures is enough for me to get stuck in

Need it to get TAA. Matetas fixtures aren't great after Brentford

Maresca didn't say anything about Colwill on the press conference, or did I just miss it?

Got 2ft's and no pressing issues with the team should I do RAN to Munoz?

Do you have triple LFC already? I'd just save FT.

Have Salah and VvD two nailed players and that's enough for me. Got 2ft's so I could use it next week if I want to get another Pool player.

    Remind me again please

Can we do 3 Pool players + Slot in dgw 24?

    Or 2 + slot?

2 & Slot and it applies for 3 weeks not just double 24

Unless you transfer Slot after 24 I should add. Its a confusing chip

    3 FT, £0.9m ITB

Want to do Gvardiol to a Liverpool defender

    A. Gvardiol > VVD
    B. Use extra FT to fund Gvardiol and Havertz > TAA and Mateta
