Simple. There's no minutes risk or risk of rotation with him. Or injury for that matter. Guaranteed 4 games in 2 GW's (if Liverpool beat Spurs in the cup).

Yeah but his points ceiling is lower than a striker who can score multiple goals and assists.

Do you expect 'multiple' goals and assist from Gakpo in both away games (Bournemouth & Everton)? If so then Gakpo is better than Slot, but will also make Pickford, Mykolenko and Moyes worse picks.

Can you explain that logic? How does it make Everton assets worse?

Either your striker scores or your defender gets a clean sheet in the derby. Inevitably, depending on that outcome, only one asset can score highly. Not universally (Gakpo and Myko goals would be win-win) but less likely.

                  Just thought something like:
If Gakpo and/or Diaz hauls in DGW24 for those without Slot, then surely Moyes won't get many points from the Liverpool match. Myko/Pickford not many either.
If VVD/Alisson/TAA hauls in DGW same logic goes for Moyes and Ndiaye/Beto and so on.

      Double double

If you can afford it with FTs etc

But Moyes then transfer may be better in gw25

It's team dependent. For those with 2 Pool is a no brainer to get Slot.
Ben Crellin has Alisson, TAA and Salah. He says, he'll get Myko+Moyes and roll 3 FTs.
      https://x.com/BenCrellin/status/1885345945161740621

Most of the "Slot in for a hit" are just sheep wanting to stay with the herd.

Projections based on odds and possibly saving a FT next GW. I highly doubt there will be a manager with better points projection over 2 consecutive GWs this season.

      I'll try my best 😉

Currently they have the odds of 1.7x and 1.45x to win against Bournemouth and Everton. If some machine did the math on those matches it would probably be realistic to assume something like this:
1-1 against Bournemouth and 0-2 win against Everton. A total of 14 points for Slot.

Combined with the fact that they're 1.3x to move past Spurs into the EFL finals which would open up Wolves (H) and Villa (A) DGW25 with even greater odss on two wins for Liverpool, more goals scored and a better or similiar chance of CSs.

To gain something like 30-35 point from Slot in two GWs would be amazing, but it simple math, that he (should) outscore Moyes in DGW24.

If Liverpool do not double in DGW25 - so be it. Your AM-chip is still active and you move for Ange or Silva (also great potential for points there).

In terms of Slot > lets say TAA/Gakpo/Diaz/Alisson (anyone but Salah). He should simply outscore them by a few points (rotation factored in and stuff like that). Your third Pool guy at 1.5 in a potential bak-to-back DGW. What's not to like?.

          I'll be using TC on:
Isak (Ipswich and Palace both at home in 33)
Salah (Spurs and Arsenal both at home in 36)
Haaland (Southamton away and Villa home in 36)

          Depending in those cup progressions.

So this is why I'm likely to do it.

      1. You get 5 fixtures if Liverpool beat Spurs in the cup. For raw fixtures, this is the most you can get especially from the best team in the league.
      2. Liverpool assets other than Salah and TAA look to be rotation risks given the heavy schedule ahead. Slot is guaranteed to 'play' every game of the likely double-double.
      3. Going Slot means you only have 2 Liverpool players and would be helpful in preparing for Blank GW29 if you don't intend to FH.

      Downsides:
      1. No upside bonus by going for Slot.
      2. The 2nd double in 25 is not guaranteed.
      3. Could be expensive to make funds/slots for Slot.

Yes but the floor is way higher since you're backing the best team in the league. They will win at least 2 of the 4 games imo so you don't risk getting two losses from a Moyes.

        Top post, thanks for this!

I went and used my transfers yesterday, and will now do Gakpo -> Wissa (-4p) and Slot. Just gonna bite the bullet.

This solves the issue of having to find another 3 gameweek slot where you get a DGW and don't want to get blocked from using another chip.

Assistant Manager Slot is the play because even if Liverpool lose you can move the AM to another team next week so you get 5 weeks out of it.

The question is who to drop for Slot. TAA or Gakpo?

My one hesitation is when to use TC - but Newcastle still likely double if they get past Arsenal so TC Isak doesn't look bad.

Doubles in 33 and 36 might be smaller too - potentially one easier to target without other chips so can be a TC opp.

Why not Emery again? CHE at home is winnable. Transfers are precious at the moment.

Oooff, my team is very close to the scout picks.

I wonder if i should leave off Rogers and play Wood instead 🙂

4FTs with Gakpo/Salah/TAA, which option is better?

    A) Gakpo --> Wissa (Slot AM)
    B) Moyes AM
    C) Salah TC

I think A is solid, but C also. Not sold on B at all

Thanks, only thing holding me back is bouremouth’s form and Everton’s bounce considering there is no bonuses for these. Also blocks the 3rd player position for 2 DGWs too.

I would rule out B personally.

A or C and it depends how much you trust Gakpo.
