Unfortunately I’ve already taken a hit for this team.

Fortunately I still have 0.5 ITB.

    A. AssMan on Moyes (is there any upside?)
    B. Salah TC

    Sels
    TAA Hall Munoz
    Salah Palmer Mbeumo Kluivert
    Isak Gakpo Wood
    Fab Bruno Kerkez VdB

If you are looking to truly maximize the number of minutes/fixtures, then the best move is keeping 3x Liverpool, and getting 4 home matches in 2 game weeks with the AM (Moyes/Emory), with bonus potential for 2 of those (albeit against the best team in the prem!). To me, selling VVD for Slot is a higher floor/lower ceiling for the AM, but also introduces risk in the event LP don't beat Spurs, you will be moving it again and only have 2 LP for WOL(H).

    C. Assman Slot

    Thanks

      I wouldn't. I'm taking a -4 hit to get Slot but wouldn't take a -8 in your position.

Took -4 Raya to Pickford, which is basically -2 because Pickford has a DGW.

I wasn’t going to go Assistant Manager at all, let alone Slot, until the news today. For that reason, I think I might do Moyes this week (good upside) and if Liverpool and Villa double, I will move Moyes > Slot and Gakpo > Watkins.

The spanner in the works would be wanting to get in on Arsenal/Chelsea if someone Arsenal can win!

        3FT’s.
        GW 24:
Wood > Ndiaye leaving 3.6 ITB for me.
        Moyes - 3.1ITB

        GW 25:
        Moyes > Slot (1.0m extra)

        Leaving 2.1 ITB
        Gakpo > Watkins (1.4 extra)

Unless I have had a stinker.

    Strategy straight forward to me:

Play AM Moyes then change to A. N.OTHER (maybe Emery) for 5 GW AM stint.

I can’t see past the Assistant Manager chip for Slot, even if you need a -4

Two DGW’s most likely. Let’s predict, 3 wins, 1 draw to be safe. 2-1 scorelines and one 2-2 draw.

That’s 8+8+8+5=29 points in two gameweeks. And then another GW with manager of your choice.

I was all for the “table bonus” of picking a lower ranked team at end of the season or during an in-form run, but how can you turn down an easy 12-15 points each GW with these doubles.

    1. Kinder Mbueno

Agree, too risky to punt on a lower placed manager for me. High upside but likelihood is getting next to nothing

    Diaz to Kluivert for free

Probably, although Diaz was rested. But they do have Semi final and City coming up so might be a more longer term move by Slot.

    3. lilmessipran
      • 13 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

Similar dilemma as you.. even though this move seems more sensible I am more tempted to do Gordon to cheaper mid (Kluivert) and get Moyes with the ITB, then Moyes to Emery/Ange in 25 which seems the riskier play.

  27. Ajax Hamsterdam
    • 11 Years

I am tempted to save my transfer and have 3 FTS for following gw. I have no villa/spurs or Fulham players so would be handy for dgw25.
Is Taa Salah gapko and Pickford enough for this GW ? Not playing any chip...I fear a massive red arrow....

It’s a fair point, just think the ceiling for assistant manager could be higher, but it’s closer than people making out and not helped by the fact some of the vocal players in the community have used their TC already.

      1. Nightcrawler
        • 6 Years

yeah tbh think if i didn't already have 3 pool i'd probably play the assman chip

        1. Athletic Nasherbo
          • 9 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

I’m taking a risk and doing Moyes > Slot Gw 25 if there’s another pool double. Can move Gakpo to Watkins.

Then if Spurs vs Fulham, I just move to Silva.

          1. Nightcrawler
            • 6 Years
            1 year, 2 months ago

i think gakpo to watkins makes sense cuz watkins also has a high ceiling so could easily outscore him. my third pool is Allison and so i'm never going to get a keeper getting more than him

ur only drawback apart from no TC is if pool dont win vs spurs the Assman could potentially turn into disaster but worth taking the risk

            1. Nightcrawler
              • 6 Years
              1 year, 2 months ago

infact maybe youre better of with pool not winning now that i think about it. u still get a dgw Assman and Salah doesnt have that juicy dgw

                • 9 Years
                1 year, 2 months ago

I’d have to use a transfer though. But yes, would work fine for me…in theory either way. Pool double is good, pool no double means moving Gakpo for Richarlison or Raul and having Silva.
