I think from now till DGW 25 I'm looking at a -8, which do you prefer?

    A-
Gakpo to ndiaye (-4) + Slot AM
    GW 25- Gordon + ndiaye -> Dango + Watkins (-4)

    B-
    GW24- AM Moyes
    GW25- Moyes + Gordon+ Gakpo -> Emery + Kluivert+ Watkins (-8)

    Which option looks better?

Why would you do Gakpo to wakins for a -4?

I think I honestly prefer if you don’t use the AM

        I don't think there's a better chance of AM because you're getting 5 games in 3 GWs?
Gakpo to Watkins is coz I think by then jota chiesa nunez might be in better condition to get in the XI ahead of Gakpo, specially in the wolves at home game

Sorry guys I really need help I'm completely lost and would love to play AM but I'm already tripled up on Liverpool and have players like Wissa. Also I'm probably gonna take a hit already to take Raya out for Pickford/Martinez.

    0FT 0.2ITB

    Raya
    TAA Gabriel Robinson (NWilliams Pau)
    Salah Palmer Gordon Kluivert (Amad)
    Isak Gakpo Wissa

You are in the same boat as most on here, considering me.

You either need to lose one Liverpool player (probs gakpo?) or just ignore AM and trust in the Liverpool triple up.

I'd prefer Pickford. Potentially both of their extra game is LIV home which isnt ideal. Both get a promoted side home for the other half. Main thing is Evertons double is confirmed and Villa's isn't. Plus Villa are a bit leaky.

Been busy at work all day and just now hearing the DGW25 bombshell (loving the chaos). Putting my thoughts down for my benefit; feel free to use or trash any of it (context: currently have TC activated on Salah, already have 3 Liverpool and no FT)
    1. Side note-it is likely that no one expected the AVL-LIV fixture to be moved because no one expected Villa to make top 8 in UCL initially, and the idea was forgotten by the time it became realistic.
    2. I'm deactivating the TC this week, but NOT using AM (Moyes too high risk for me, and not worth hits for Slot)
    3. If Liverpool advance, I'll TC Salah in 25
    4. If Spurs advance (and get some of their injured players back as opposed to swapping them out), I'll likely AM Postecoglu 25-27. A fully fit Spurs squad is much better than 15th and could get some nice table bonuses (plus they play City in 27 and you know how that often ends).
    5. If Spurs and Arsenal advance, I may FH in 25 instead since I only have 3 doublers (and no Bournemouth for their Southampton fixture)
    6. BB 33 is likely OUT, as there will be at most 1 extra fixture...unless some of the blank 34 fixtures get moved forward as well (could happen if FA Cup semifinalists are still in Europe)
    7. If I don't use TC in 25, it could be used on Isak in 33 (avl & CRY) or whenever the Palace game gets rearranged.

That's enough for me to digest for now. If you've made it this far, I DO hope you found it informative!

    1. Athletic Nasherbo
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

On point 2 - what makes Moyes that high risk? Leicester is a good fixture, and table bonus helps mitigate the fact it’s Liverpool. If you have the transfers, you could go to Slot/Silva/Emery/Ange afterwards?

      1. djman102
        • 16 Years

Problem is, I don't have the transfers. And I still don't trust Everton yet.

It's a case of how likely are pool going to mess up leg 2 against Spurs. If you think they win then AM moyes then ditch to emery if not TC Salah that's the situation I'm in as got 3 pool assets.

Helpful analysis. I just can’t resist the AM chip with two DGW’s. If Utd were 5 places higher than Spurs(like City) then the Ange AM would be an even better shout

      1. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 9 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

Yes, agreed. Back to back double Gameweeks makes an already high ceiling, even higher. Big opportunity.

That being said, Salah TC could get you 20-25 points too.

      2. djman102
        • 16 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

It is a tough call. But I don't expect Moyes to get more than 7-9 points in the double (and I'm skeptical of even that. Though as a City fan, I'd LOVE it if he could get a result against Liverpool!)

    4. Sir Michael Taker
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

Lots to digest. I think the sensible thing is decide on what you're doing in 24 and take it from there. We don't know the doublers in 25 and we've got a lot of football between tomorrow and the start of 25, especially for Liverpool. There's bound to be a few injuries in the FA Cup etc which derail peoples best made plans.

      1. Men in green tights
        • 7 Years

The injuries side of things point more to using the AM chip as it is such a long gwk.
I'm starting to sway with Moyes now and switching the following week as can't see Spurs beating Pool second leg.

      Good and interesting post...

25 could be a disaster if not enough dgw players, fh defo an option...

      Like the Spurs option

25 looks great for Salah tc

All ifs and buts though, if fh and tc are options then precludes playing AM this gw, just waiting and seeing

"The Table Bonus are the extra points that a manager receives when either winning or drawing against a team that is FIVE places above them in the table at the start of the Gameweek. For example, if a team is in 20th place, they will be eligible for the bonus against a team in 15th position or above. If the manager is eligible for the Table Bonus at the beginning of the Gameweek, they’ll still be eligible regardless of the changes to league positions over the course of the Gameweek. Updated league positions will only be considered at the beginning of the NEXT Gameweek. "

High ceiling but high risk of a bust

There might be a key to that lower in the league bit. Merseyside Derby aside you wouldn't choose to use it on Everton against Liverpool when it pays the same as Everton against Fulham for example. But the doubles obviously complicate matters. Its a better chip for Emery vs Liverpool because they are much better than Everton but it pays the same.

    Thoughts?

    GW 24:
Wood > Ndiaye leaving 3.6 ITB
    AM - Moyes leaving 3.1ITB

    GW 25:
    If Pool, Villa double then
    Moyes > Slot/Emery leaving 2.1 ITB allowing
Gakpo > Watkins (if go Slot)

Anyone with Triple Fulham hoping Spurs can hold on against Liverpool?
