    The Palmer/Salah captain choice could lead to AM-chip levels of swings this week.
    Newcastle have conceded 14 in their last 6, Southampton have conceded 17. Salah's on fire, Palmer's at home to a poor side and could turn it on. A handful of Liverpool attackers can score, none of Chelsea's seem to, but Palmer's their best bet.
    I don't think it's really about risk appetite as there's sound reasoning for captaining both (unless captaining Palmer as justification for keeping him this long through some 2-pointers). Although not chasing ground, I'm still leaning Palmer.

      I think i prefer Palmer as captain this week too.

      Just a gut feeling I'm going with...

      Even if Palmer hauls I think Salah will haul as well. For me there's not that much to gain IMO.

      Tom Bramall has Palmer in his team so Palmer haul secured

      Relative EO % for both might sway the upside one way or the other? Palmer had been sold recently & has had a 0.2 price drop since I brought him in.

    Current squad:

    Alisson
    Robinson VVD Munoz
    Salah(vc) Palmer(c) Mbuemo Iwobi
    Wood Wissa Isak

    Kepa Murphy Mykolenko Digne

    1.0m itb and 2ft

    I am considering removing Alisson to then gain funds and swap Iwobi to Bowen. Or for -4:

    Out - Alisson, Digne, Murphy
    In - Areola (4.2m), AWB, Bowen

    Silly plan? Do I have better options or bigger priorities?

    AM chip has been played, all others available. FH29 is likely!

    Advice welcome, thanks

      I like the moves but not sure about the 2 x WHU defence. Can you stretch AWB to become RAN from Wolves perhaps?

        I made a mistake, I have 4.3m for the GK.

        So my 'INs' could be:
        Sa, AWB and Bowen for -4

    Chasing a bit in my mini leagues and still without Mbuemo (everyone else has him).

    A) Rogers -> Mbuemo (exact funds)
    B) Rogers -> Bowen
    C) Roll and start Dango

    Thanks!

    Someone has to say it and I’ll be the one.

    PL sucks!

    The quality of the PL has plummeted.
    Simply because of how the league is run. Inconsistent decisions from incompetent officials. Some clubs have turned shite too, the likes of Manchester utd.
    You can’t compare past seasons to the current one.

    Used my old dvd player to watch 04/05 - 08/09 PL season. My goodness! 🙁

      The old Barclays "vibes" are not there, but the quality has certainly not plummeted. Relegation threatened teams have the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes in the starting XI 😛

        With incorrect decisions week in week out. Almost as if it is a deliberate act. Sure! The quality hasn’t dropped that way. Pretty sure it wasn’t this bad.

      Yeah I'm now the old man saying in my day..Too many athletes now and not enough technicians. Refs give frees if you fall over near an opposition player. Wingers don't take on their full backs as ofter etc

    Gonna stick my neck out here and say Salah is clear of Palmer this week for captaincy.

    The algorithms and FPL Review back Palmer, but I think their assessments are off base. Chelsea are not a good side atm without Jackson up top and Palmer has looked ineffective. Meanwhile Salah is in generational form and looks like he'll score two a game.

    Southampton are bad but Newcastle defense has equally looked poor since Joelinton's been out and had a really poor second half vs Forest at the weekend.

    The only time I'd captain someone other than Salah is if I thought he would blank. I just don't at the moment. As we saw this past weekend, it doesn't matter if your differential captain gets points. It only matters if your differential captain does AND Salah doesn't. If Newcastle looked a fortress going into this one and were at home, I'd be warmer towards the move. But they don't. I'm not twisting.

      Hmm. I was all set on Palmer, but frankly some of my better decisions in FPL over recent seasons have been informed by your well-reasoned posts (so a retrospective thanks!). Might give this one some more thought.

      This week is ideal for chasers/defenders. If chasing, clearly go for Palmer. If defending rank, Salah without question

        Backing somebody who hasn't got a (proper) goal contribution in the last 6 games is not "clear" at all

    Trent, Gabriel, Aina (Castagne, Greaves)
    Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Dango (Rogers)
    Isak, Wood, Wissa

    1FT, 3.3 in bank

    A. Wissa --> Cunha
    B. Rogers --> Bowen
    C. Roll FT

      In my Draft team I’m struggling to decide who to bench, any suggestions would be appreciated!
      Need to bench one out of Mbuemo, Kluivert, Bowen, Enzo, Nkuku, Mateta, Isak & Ferguson.
      To me it would normally be Nkuku or Ferguson but they have good fixtures to make a mark with?

        Worth bringing in Neto for Rogers this week? Am chasing in a draft so won't necessarily be able to get Rogers back.
