If you know about our Suspension Tightrope widget on the sidebar of our home page, you’ll have seen a once-long list whittled down over the last week or so.

Now, only a couple of names remain – and they will both be in the clear if they avoid being booked in the remaining matches of Gameweek 32.

That’s because we’ve reached a significant time of the season with regards to yellow card accumulation:

Gameweek ban 33

Above table from the Football Association website

All bar four teams have now completed 32 matches. Bournemouth and Fulham will reach that landmark on Monday, with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace following suit on Wednesday.

WHO CAN STILL BE SUSPENDED?

Gameweek ban 33

With no Crystal Palace or Fulham players on nine bookings, it’s only those from Bournemouth and Newcastle who can still be banned.

Antonie Semenyo (£5.7m) just has to get through Monday’s meeting with Fulham without a caution to be in the clear.

Teammate Ryan Christie (£4.9m) is on nine bookings too but is ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

Joelinton (£6.0m) meanwhile has Wednesday’s visit of Palace to negotiate before he’s free from the threat of suspension.

Gameweek ban 33

Players reaching 15 yellow cards before the end of the season will get a three-match ban. The above three midfielders are leading the way but still have some distance to go.

WHO IS BACK FROM A BAN?

FPL notes: Two Palace bans, Pedro benched + Cunha to return 1

Marc Guehi (£4.7m) and Eddie Nketiah (£5.9m) will return for the second match of Crystal Palace’s Double Gameweek 32 in midweek.

Brighton and Hove Albion’s Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.5m) will be back in Gameweek 33.

All three were sent off for two bookable offences in the A23 derby in Gameweek 31.

Southampton’s Flynn Downes (£4.7m) is now available after a two-match ban.

WHICH PLAYERS ARE SUSPENDED IN GAMEWEEK 33?

FPL notes 21

All of that leaves no one on the suspended list for on-field indiscretions.

Mykhailo Mudryk (£6.1m) does however remain provisionally banned by the FA after returning a positive drugs test.

Ah the blessed last few gameweeks of the season is fast approaching and pretty soon the suspension tightrope will be redundant.

You only have a issue with Kiwior who could be benched once white is healthy for arsenal, moving White to RB and Timber to CB. Similarly, KDB is a huge minutes risk across two games in a short time frame. However the upside is high. Lastly, Bradley could be also at risk of a benching once Trent returns come first week of May.

Watching MotD. Stephens clearly enchroaching on Ascencio's first pen before clearing it from Ramsdale's save. Why was it not given as encroachment?

The rules on this are written poorly: "To be penalised for encroachment, the player must have a material impact on the outcome of the kick. For example, this could be when a defender who encroaches clearly prevents a goal from being scored or impacts the ability of an opponent to play the ball."

What is "the outcome of the kick"? In isolation, that phrase sounds like it means whether a kick is scored, missed or saved. But in practice, the rule surely needs to cover the aftermath of the kick, the rebounds, which you might infer from its vague examples.

It's also stated that VAR can intervene for encroachment, yet they didn't in this case. Am I missing something?

You're absolutely right. Deulofail shouldn't highlight one single incident. The rules of the game are constantly not being enforced. There are numerous foul throws and corners not on the line every single weekend in the premier league.

Had the same argument when Guehi encroached on the area, but fell on deaf ears.

The opposite happened here, but its fine

Oh its difficult to show you without the video.

But Geuhi runs from 3 yards outside the D in the penalty box, but Mbuemo does his pause and Guehi just enters the D,. As mebuemo hit the post, and henderson didn't get a glove on it, you cant kick the ball twice. As mbuemo was just about to hit in the rebound, (which would have stoped play. Guehi tackles him and because he was noticed to run into the box (just) by the time Mbumeo was trying to force Hendo to move first, which he didn't he was found to be guilty of encrouchment. So the penalty was retainen and scored, even though on the second one, Brentford players were celebrating before mbeumo retarted his second kick putting Hendo off.

You have to watch it, really mate. She if you can search it where you are.

I watched a different highlight video 3 days ago, and just watched it again. It's the same as the Stephens one I'm claiming should have been encroachment. Guehi encroaches by clearing the ball. It doesn't matter that Mbeumo isn't allowed to touch it again, because he didn't touch it again. Guehi stops play by clearing the ball illegally. And the fact that Mbeumo slowed down when taking the pen is also irrelevant unless it's illegal. People do that all the time. It's up to Guehi not to encroach.

Just got the Sky video to work. They say the same thing as me, so I'm unsure what your argument against the encroachment is exactly.

Defender was clearly in the area when the kick was taken and cleared the ball after it was saved. I have no idea why it wasn't considered encroachment by VAR.

Apparently Savinho was planned to start on Saturday morning but seems like he was benched due to a fitness issue. Positive he made the bench and got some mins against Palace.

Currently leaning towards keeping Savinho and hoping he starts the next 2 games. Next 2 opponents don't tend to setup with WBs so I'm expecting/hoping Pep will start with actual wingers for width rather than control, narrow setup.

Yes I'm aware of Pep roulette...

This account is good for City team info.

Maybe if I was to pick again or have the luxury of transfers. As an owner with only 2FTs, I don't think it's straightforward decision unless he's unavailable

I also have 2FTs, one will be used on AM, I intent to use second on swapping Savinho or Isak - the last spot in my XI for DGW33.

Yeah I have Murphy to Rogers/Rashford pencilled in. Undecided whether to use 2nd FT to sell Livramento/Isak or roll to have 2FTs into 35 (FH34).

I'm not overly keen on selling Isak to Watkins at the moment. Wait and see how UCL 2nd leg plays out.

Sorry guys just replying from the last thread, here is my squad before trades so clearly you can see I’m short for GW34

    2FT 3.5 bank

    Raya
    Saliba Munoz Gvardiol
    Saka Sarr Salah Rogers
    Marmoush Mateta Isak

    Areola Livramento Murphy Digne

    Which option is best
A)Digne and Murphy to Johnson and KDB and FH34
B)Roll FT and make 3-4 transfers for 34 and save FH is possible

Have no real reason for it,I think my initial thinking was the fact that I already burned my BB so maybe FHing a team of 11 doublers potentially would rectify that slightly? You think roll with A then?

The way I see it, you're well short of a decent GW34 team with 3 or 4 transfers.

Better to use FH, and save FTs for the remaining GWs.

what was your views 30 minutes instead Saturday before stupid kamada decide to kung fuey instead of sticking to our shape. Let Man City pass n move side and cross. Cost us the game, we fell apart.

What happens if Newcastle V Palace gets a point?

I am staying with Glasner just cause of one stupid moment of madness, who is without doubt the weakest link in our team. Ho he gets in above Devenny i don't know. He was a Glasner signing, and think he is sometime wanting his 100k a week signing to be a success.

Still angry about it. Hopefully Hughes and Wharton get a start, and Lerma gets his rest and comes on with 30 minutes to go.

It all depends on Saka for me whether you go with Arteta or not.

yeah i was 50/50 Murphy (from Sarr) or Barnes. I also went with Glasner for the upside and being 70 points (wh is 15k), in the league).

Thinking of Kiwior rather than Saliba for enabling compromise as second Ars defence (plus Raya) for GW33. Do we think he's likely to start both fixtures? Impossible to know, I guess.

He wants to leave; Arsenal want him to stay. I think he plays every game from now until the end of the season.

Arteta on Kiwior: “It’s difficult to do what he’s done. Really impressed with him. I don’t think the word is surprised because of the way he trains. The way he commits. The way he reacts to not playing. It’s phenomenal.”

Agree. Seems more likely than not. Will probably go for him over Saliba. Double Ars defence never seems to work for me and only doing it for the DGW really - and Kiwior will help me get a stronger front line.

I could leave the midfield transfer and just play Isak (avl).

        Isak+4 vs Rogers

When I put it that way, makes me lean Isak. However my money league rival has Rogers and no Isak. So the blocking is tempting

Slim lead in my ML and planning to BB 33 & FH 34 (still have TC as well).

    Raya² | Areola
    Saliba² | Munoz² | Gvardiol² | Konsa² | Livra*
    Salah | Saka² | Sarr² | Rogers² | Murphy*
    Isak | Marmoush² | Mateta²

Which move from A or B?
    A. Livra >
    1. Dias (DGW but double City def feels very risky)
    2. Bradley (SGW vs lei but the run in isn't great. Trent returning?)
    3. Nico
    4. Other?

    B. Murphy >
    1. Rash (DGW but mins risk?)
    2. Diaz (SGW vs lei but mins risk?)
    3. Mbeumo (SGW vs BHA and has a nice run in)
    4. Other?

Thinking Murphy > Diaz myself, he's routinely returned last few games, and Salah seems to be waning. And it is, after all, everyone's favourite punching bag, Leicester.

Fixtures are piling up for Villa:

          15th PSG h
          19th Newcastle h
          22nd Man City a
          26th Crystal Palace n

Could we see Emery rotate vs PSG?
The 2 league games are huge for the champs league spots.

          Emery on Watkins & Rashford:

"The next step - if I have time - is to play them together. We did with Rashford playing left side but now we are choosing more with both playing as strikers. That's the next step. I want to practice, I want to test but not now with enough time."

Assistant manager in 35 to use the 3 GW extra points

Bug going around, Kamada playing Kung Fu to gift Man City an FK), completely ruined the game. Lacroix hadn't trained all week nor had Richards. Had to keep it simple, stupid as the phrase goes. Our shape was to not let Man Ciry into our box and go side to side and cross. Then Kamada did that!

They were awful against Man Utd, (I pray Glasners gets some point bonus Wednesday)

We will see. Hopefully Glasner will give us on his dream signing to prove a point). Fine with 20 minutes to go, with tired leg, fine for Lazio where the pace is slow. He isnt PL standard. Not even close.

          Marmoush* Isak Mateta*

          Verbruggen Minteh Kerkez Milenkovic

2FT, 5.3ITB, 6 doublers for 33, just FH in hand.
          Options are:

          1. FH33, be aggressive with 10/11 doublers, & get to 11 for 34 for free.

          2. FH34 & bring in a couple more doublers for 33.

          3. Roll in 33, get 11/12 for 34 & pocket the FH for later.

I think I’ve got most of the essentials for both weeks, which is what’s confusing me. I like the upside of attacking the double and defending the blank, but I may be wrong, hence the question.
More than happy with OR75k so not really chasing anything.

          Hudjsen, Gvardiol Munoz (Livra Myko)
          Palmer Salah Mbumbo Kluivert (Murphy)
          Isak Mateta Maroush

          Get DGW33 players in WC34,

Or Bradley/ and Bowen in GW33
          Then perhaps Cunha/Sa GW34

          Both -4 WC35 for BB36?

            Bradley / Bowen solid moves.
I wouldn’t take a hit for Bradley though. Go with 2 new midfielders Bowen and Saka for Palmer Kluivert?

              Cheers thanks for the reply.

Bradley i may hit, (surely he gets at least 6) for Myko as Munoz has the blank and play 4-4-2

Could go Saka and take a hit and play without a GK GW34?

              I like Kluivert V Man Utd GW34

Guess i will wait until after Wednesday for Saka updates. Playing so well for a man so unfit. 🙂
