Talented writer? Want to spend your days writing about Fantasy Football? Then this might be the job vacancy for you!

As we head into the new season, we’re looking to grow the team once again, with a new role in our editorial team.

Considering the world we live in right now, each role is a remote one but the ability to travel to London easily would be an advantage.

However, talent is more important to us than postcode.

Staff Writer

We’re looking for a Staff Writer to support the delivery of editorial content and projects. The successful candidate will work within the editorial team and will focus on writing Fantasy Football articles for Fantasy Football Scout, championing our weekly newsletters, assisting with various content creation, and helping out with planning and scheduling.

This is a new role to help support the existing team and ensure ongoing community engagement, as the editorial team looks to find new ways to engage audiences and drive growth.

Tasks will include:

  • Take responsibility for various weekly articles, as directed by the Editor
  • Understand audience needs and ensure community engagement
  • Adhere to the house style guide, writing articles promptly and within word limits
  • Enter and edit content in WordPress
  • Provide useful content in weekly newsletters
  • Understand the needs of various stakeholders

Interested?

If you’d like to come and join the team, please send a cover letter and copy of your CV to jobs@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you.

      Yeah, not a fan at all.

      Just look at one of FFS' biggest competitors - the FantasyPL subreddit. Even using the pre-rebrand design, which is well over a decade old now, the difference in presentation and functionality is staggering (using this page to compare: https://old.reddit.com/r/FantasyPL/comments/1lxx9sw/preseason_friendlies_2025_premier_league_teams/)

      * Comments are compact, allowing you to read more without scrolling - on a 14" MBP, I can see 8 comments at a time, compared to just 3.5 here.
      * User-based reputation system
      * Content embedding - hyperlinks, images / GIFs, emojis
      * Native dark mode
      * User blocking
      * Comment editing / deletion

      The last two points especially are so basic for any community platform, it's really quite confusing that we're going to go at least another season without them. Hopefully I'm wrong and there are plans for their implementation before the first wave of random RMTs appear and usual trolls return.

        You missed out that it looks more complicated than Latin. First impression, a jumbled mess.

    Apologies to all if this is a boring question - but it’s posed by a self-confessed technology laggard!!

    What is live.FPL and how beneficial is it to use?

    What tools would you recommend beyond FFS to help you in FPL?

    Many thanks in advance.

          Many thanks for that advice Jordan!! I’m a committed ‘eye-test’ player of the game but I know I have to do more on the ‘stats’ side of things going forward. Thank-you for your help mate!!

      Disagree. Replies to comments now hard to distinguish from original posts. Change does not always equal better.

    Since the start of 2025, Chelsea has played 33 games, resulting in 21 wins, 4 draws, and 8 losses.

    Thats kinda good

      The equivalent of 2.03 points per game, or 77 points a season which is good but not Premier League winning level. It would have placed them second last season (with 8 more points than they got, 4th in 2023/24, 3rd in 22/23, and 3rd again in 21/22.

      I posted this before they won on Sunday. I'm just hoping they continue where they left off and their form doesn't take a downturn because of their long season...

    Is the site working on mobile correctly for others. The comment box on the right won’t let me scroll down, I can only see Luke the 4 most recent comments when there is normally like 8 or ten visible.

    Not sure about this redesign on mobile

    Why do all the responses to individual comments look like new conversations?
