FANTASY EFL TRANSFERS: RICHARD KONE (F) SIGNS FOR QPR

Fantasy EFL: Double Gameweek 11 Scout Notes 2

A move that felt inevitable after a breakout season, the 22-year-old has moved from Adams Park to Loftus Road to join the R’s for an undisclosed fee.

The talisman helped Wycombe Wanderers to a fifth-placed finish in League One, and was subsequently named Player of the Season in two different categories by the EFL.

Crying out for a striker for awhile, new manager Julian Stephan has recruited brilliantly. The front-four of Kwame Poku (M), Ilias Chair (M), Karamoko Dembele (F) and Kone looks potent.

Following Charlie Kelman’s (F) sale to Leyton Orient, an ice-cool finisher to lead the line was needed. That’s exactly what they’ve got in Kone.

Two words: goal machine.

FANTASY EFL TRANSFERS: OLIVER MCBURNIE (F) RETURNS

Despite being in the midst of a transfer embargo, Hull City have recruited expertly.

The talisman has joined on a three-year deal from Las Palmas on a free transfer, after registering nine goal contributions in 34 last season.

The Scotland international’s best season came in 22/23 with Sheffield United, seeing him score 15 Championship goals, as they won promotion to the Premier League.

He made his debut for the Tigers against Coventry City (A) in their 0-0 draw, and will be hoping for his first league start against Oxford United (H) in Double Gameweek 3.

He did however score against Wrexham (A) in the Carabao Cup in their 3-3 draw.

FANTASY EFL TRANSFERS: STOKE CITY SIGN FORMER FAN FAVOURITE

Steven Nzonzi (M) has rejoined the Potters on a one-year deal, returning to the club since his departure in 2015.

The World Cup winner is getting back to full fitness but isn’t ready to play yet. Manager Mark Robins noted:

“He’s going to need some time to get up to speed. He’s got a little issue, but he’s getting there.”

The 36-year-old recently joined the team and was welcomed by fans during the 2-1 season opener against Derby County (H).

A fan favourite, Nzonzi has played for clubs like Sevilla and AS Roma. Most recently, he played for Sepahan in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

While he may not be the midfield maestro as he once was, he’s expected to be a solid asset, providing strong defensive contributions.

FANTASY EFL TRANSFERS: WILFRIED NDIDI SWAPS ENGLAND FOR TURKEY

FPL notes: Why Mbeumo didn't get an assist + Iraola hails Evanilson 3

The Nigeria international has left Leicester City, signing for Super Lig outfit Besiktas.

Ndidi was at the King Power Stadium for over eight years, making 303 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals. In that time, he won the FA Cup, Community Shield, and helped the Foxes earn promotion to the Premier League.

In their 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday (H) in Gameweek 2, Boubakary Soumare (M) and Oliver Skipp (M) were the midfield duo.

OTHER KEY DEALS

Auto Draft 111

Chuba Akpom (F) has joined Ipswich Town on a season-long loan from Ajax.

The move is a significant U-turn, as it was widely believed he would be joining Birmingham City. The talisman bagged 28 goals for Middlesbrough in 22/23.

If promoted to the top-flight, the Tractor Boys have a £7 million obligation to buy clause.

Napoli’s Jens Cajuste (M) has also re-joined the Tractor Boys on loan after a strong season in the Premier League.

Fleetwood Town’s MacKenzie Hunt (D) has departed from Fleetwood Town, joining UAE Pro Club FC Baniyas for an undisclosed fee. The wing-back provided nine goal contributions in League Two last season.

Following an ankle ligament injury in January, Daniel Bachmann (G) has been loaned to Deportivo La Coruña for the remainder of the season. He did not make another appearance for Watford after the injury.
