DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 3 TEAM REVEAL: THE STARTING SEVEN

GOALKEEPER

Luton have started their season very well – keeping clean sheets in both of their matches. I expect similar from them this week, so I’m opting for Josh Keeley (G) between the sticks.

DEFENDERS

I was burnt by a three-man midfield last week so I’m reverting back to safety with the back three.

Carl Piergianni (D) has made a fantastic start to the new campaign – racking up a whopping 29 clearances in just two matches. Because of this and Stevenage’s nice fixtures this week, I have decided to give him the armband.

Mickey Demetriou (D) continued his form from the previous campaign in terms of defensive contribution points, so avoiding him feels silly.

MK Dons clash with two sides who lost both of their first outings, so I think they keep at least one clean sheet. To help me benefit from this I have chosen Jack Sanders (D) who appears to be their standout at the back.

MIDFIELDERS

Talking of in-form players, Davis Keillor-Dunn (M) seems to be in a purple patch. Not only has he scored back-to-back goals, but he was also very good at the end of the previous campaign. Barnsley may or may not win their matches this week, but I think they could bag several goals.

Grimsby are another side I can’t really trust. I do think they score goals this week though, which is why I think Jaze Kabia (M) could have success. It also helps his appeal that he scored in both of his first two games.

FORWARD

Whilst I like several strikers this week, including Jamie Reid (F) of Stevenage and Huddersfield’s Alfie May (F), I think Crewe’s Josh March (F) has been exceptional.

March was relentless in pre-season and he appears to have continued that run into the new season. Crewe have also been offensively convincing as well, so the striker seems to have everything I would want in an asset this week.

CLUB PICKS

Huddersfield feel like the standout team selection this week, As well as convincing in their opening matches, their upcoming opponents haven’t done enough to make me think they can avoid defeat this week. I wouldn’t be surprised to see two wins and two clean sheets from them.

The second team pick is quite tricky this week, as it was last week. There are several sides I think could do well this week outside of Huddersfield, and one of them is MK Dons.
