After five 0-0 draws in pre-season, is it a case of backing Nottingham Forest defenders and ignoring their attackers in Fantasy Premier League (FPL)?
Forest are the last club to be profiled in our series of team previews.
From best picks and defensive contributions (DC) magnets to fixture analysis and an early predicted XI, our latest offering to Members focuses on Eddie Howe’s troops.
NOTTM FOREST: REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL
DEFENSIVE PROWESS

Five clean sheets in seven pre-season games suggests Forest aren’t going to venture far from the usual playbook this season.
Nuno Espirito Santo has repeatedly commented in the past about a solid defence being a priority for his sides, something that was clearly in evidence last season.
A tally of 13 clean sheets was trumped only by Liverpool, while 46 goals conceded was joint-sixth-best.
The City Ground was a fortress, indeed, with no Premier League keeping more clean sheets (eight) or conceding fewer goals (16) than Forest on their own soil.
OPENING FIXTURES

Usually we have a separate section in our team previews for a fixture outlook but given that one of the main draws of Forest players in Gameweek 1 is a favourable opening schedule, it’s worth mentioning it early on.
Brentford’s attack has been stripped away over the summer. Palace will be in UEFA Conference League action less than 72 hours before Gameweek 2. West Ham United were thumped 3-0 at the City Ground last season. Newly promoted Burnley and Sunderland follow in Gameweeks 5 and 6.
There’s only the Arsenal match in Gameweek 4 that looks off-putting.
Given how much of a flat-track bully Forest were last season (12 wins in 14 against the bottom seven, see below), targeting the fixtures is a valid play.
