How are people feeling about Palmer after Chelsea today?

I am firmly in this boat too. Captained him this week on top of it all - nightmare!

Was a surprisingly easy watch as a non-owner, just a shame Saka was arguably even worse.

Don't think I'd knee-jerk either of them out though.

So what? He’s barely had any open play goals all year and they had barely any shots on target today, you won’t C him that’s for sure.

Years ago Sterling was red hot, the next season a lot of us captained him for the first few weeks of the next season and he blamed the whole time, sometimes you have to trust your eyes over the fix list.

Your eyes should have seen how good Palace were tactically setup out of possession. I don't see the same with West ham

That doesn’t explain his lack of open play goals since Jan, let’s be honest, we were all influenced by the CWC Final, had he blanked in that, none of us would have had him.

even at the start of last season he did this. Looks disinterested and then boom

Is he still Chelsea's talisman? It certainly seems so. I had Saka, Rogers, Watkins, JP, Palmer. All blanked in tough fixtures and none of those teams suggested they as talismen are going to change any time soon. Gyokeres as the main points getter for Arsenal? Not on that showing. Early doors of course, but I'd be alarmed if the likes of Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal all scored 2-3 and those aforementioned had little involvement.

As for Salah and the points being spread. He once cane away with a 3 pointer from a 9-0 win v Bmouth

The idea of Palmer/Bowen to King/Haaland(c) and play KDH certainly crossed my mind, and start KDH.

Hey mates, contemplating taking an early -4 hit for A. Ramsey + Gyorkes > Reijnders + Wood, save £0.5.

      Current Team:

      Dubravka
      Wan-Bissaka/Murillo/VvD/A.Truffert
      Wirtz/Palmer/Elliot Anderson
      Watkins/Gyorkeres/Haaland

Vicario Le Fee/A. Ramsey/Van de Ven

      TYIA!!

        1. InVinceible
          • 10 Years

I initially thought Gyorkes could offer upside on future value increases vs. Chris Wood, who I thought “No way he repeats last season.”

I do not want to compound issues by refusing to make early moves and admit I was initially wrong. Burned me too often in the past.

I'm probably sticking with Anderson over making the move to Reijnders tonight/this GW.

Anyone else with the same thoughts?

      Elliott Anderson:
      6 points
      0.39xG
      0.28xA
      1 assist
      11 DEFCONs

      Reijnders:
      10 points
      0.12xG
      0.21xA
      1 goal and 1 assist
      3 DEFCONs

Was never that convinced of him to begin with - slow pre-season and new signings are generally best-avoided as a rule. Only reason I went for him was to cover the mass selection, knowing he could be easily upgraded or downgraded. Once he settles he may be decent but with two tough fixtures it feels like a wasted midfield selection given the other options available.

Did not look PL ready tbf. Too slow and not strong enough. He is young and it could take time. A very physical Newcastle next. Followed by Arsenal. Not sure I will sell this week, but not expecting much tbh

I took two punts on players new to the league. Maybe its harsh judging him by Reijnders standards, but his next two don't scream 'points haul' given the lack thereof against a 'dishevelled and depleted' Bournemouth back line, in the same way that Semenyo's home fixture to Wolves next weekend possibly does.

Definitely and I'd WC to a whole new team.

          What would Barry Bannan do?

He wouldn't jump ship, that's for sure!

Are Mbeumo and Cunha worth having a look or too early? Who looked the brighter of the two?

Mbeumo was more involved I thought but I don’t think United have clicked yet and still not convinced by Amorim’s system.

          - Maresca has literally said they're after a new CB
          - Chelsea are renowned for signing about 4/5 players per position these days. Slight hyperbole, but you get me ha

        1m in the bank

Rutter, Wirtz -> Reijnders, Saka (-4)?

          Why Saka?

Leeds at home? He looked sharp today and unlucky not to get a return.

Probably just someone to Reijnders and captain Haaland or Salah instead.

I think you can purely because Cunha or Mbeumo will match Bruno now IMO.

Not a question I thought I'd have to ask, but play Sanchez (whu) or Dubravka (SUN)?

And I know ditching Wirtz already is raising a few eyebrows around these parts, but seriously he looked well off the pace and has two poor fixtures coming up, and with Semenyo fresh from a brace at Anfield and with Wolves at home next up, would that not be a logical move for free?

Yeah im really considering that move. It makes sense I think. Sanchez for keeper though

Hartman. I'm sure he's on corners.

Salah (C) for you. Night game on Monday, will be a humdinger with neither side parking the bus due to events this summer.

Wirtz to Reinders worth the move? Similar potential but can bank the cash?

          https://plan.livefpl.net/prices

3 going up tonight. I always WC GW2 just to play them. Pocket the cash if I get a second rise and then tinker with a new improved team.

Worked everytime I played in the 'money' leagues - a thing of old that the oldtimers will remember here.

I did Wirtz to Rejnders. Ekitike I don't love because of Isak and Semenyo is still same player as last year. Capable to brace, but even more capable to blank many weeks in a row.
