We’re big-six-less in the three 3pm BST kick-offs today.

Two of the newly promoted sides square off at Turf Moor, while the other two clashes feature clubs that failed to win in Gameweek 1:

TEAM NEWS

Brentford boss Keith Andrews has tinkered the most out of the six managers on duty this afternoon.

He makes four changes in all, handing a first start to Jordan Henderson and a debut to Dango Ouattara.

It’s a much stronger Bees XI all round, indeed, with Mikkel Damsgaard back from paternity leave and Kevin Schade fit enough to start after injury restricted him to bench duty on the opening weekend.

Rico Henry, Fabio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo and Mathias Jensen all drop to the bench, with Keane Lewis-Potter moving back to left-back.

Despite training with the team this week and Andrews hinting he could be involved, the wantaway Yoane Wissa is again absent.

As for opponents Aston Villa, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez returns after his ban. Marco Bizot makes way.

Unai Emery’s enforced change sees Pau Torres come in for the suspended Ezri Konsa.

Donyell Malen is, once again, only a substitute.

It’s much more straightforward team news from the Vitality Stadium, where Bournemouth are unchanged.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ only alteration sees summer signing Jhon Arias come in for Andre.

New recruits Ben Gannon-Doak, Amine Adli and Jackson Tchatchoua are all among the substitutes.

The Cherries also have the fit-again Justin Kluivert and Ryan Christie back on the bench.

Finally, at Burnley, Scott Parker hands first starts of 2025/26 to two of his summer captures, Jacob Bruun Larsen and Lesley Oguchukwu.

Oliver Sonne and Josh Laurent make way.

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris makes just one tweak, bringing in Omar Alderete for Jensen Seelt, who drops out despite being passed fit on Thursday.

Selling and never going there again.
      Watkins is a prime donkey.

I'm probably going to FH next week & then maybe keep just one of them for 4-5 (likely WC6). Hard to see them breaking out of this rut against Palace (I would also have 4 players in Liv v Ars & have to play Guehi against them)

14pts from my dirty bench boost of:

    4.0 - 4.0 - 4.0 - 4.5

    That'll do donkeys. That'll do.

Very nice. Feels good to be done with it.

I have KDH in the XI, I'm hoping he plays in the 8 to help ball progression and attract defcons. I still hold out hope for him to be a good pick. He looks to be on all set pieces...

Full time whistle at Turf Moor

Sunderland offered nothing of note in the second half.

They also play Leeds at home in gw8.

Who's that woman in the Brentford stands that's been shown several times during the match? She's wearing shades so a bit hard to recognize but she must be some kind of a celebrity.

If it wasn’t for Villa looking trash, I’d probably be happy to just roll the FT again and have 3FTs going into GW4 where there’s a few fixture swings in the offing.
But now I’m wondering about if I can continue with both Rogers and Watkins stinking the place out…

        Ouch

My worst switch was when I hit out KDB, Aguero + AN Other for Son, Kane etc and I think Man City went to Spurs and scored 4 with a KDB hattrick or something similar.

Not really. Haaland (and City in general) looked very poor. I wouldn’t be rushing to get him before he faces Brighton away and then the Manchester Derby

Given Spurs great fixtures, Brendan Johnson surely the ideal midfield pick in the game? Scored in 1st 2 games of season so in form.

2 FT , which option to take for next few gameweeks?

    A. Palmer to Bruno
    B. Kudus to Bruno

    2. Konsa to Gudmunsson

Could be either of the 3. I am just leaning more to Bruno as he is on set pieces.

I have 2FTs but if I play FH next week, will it reset to 1, remain as 2? Assuming they won’t give the original FT when you’re playing FH.

Two games gone and people transferring out Watkins & Rogers, for a team that arguably have the easiest fixture run.
