There’s not a Liverpool or Arsenal player in sight in the Scout Picks for Gameweek 3 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

We considered the Scout Squad submissions made by Neale (Editor), Tom (Deputy Editor), Sam (General Manager) and Marc (Staff Writer) before coming up with our final team.

As ever, there are certain restrictions for our picks:

  • An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
  • An overall squad limit of £100.0m
  • No more than three players per team

GAMEWEEK 3 SCOUT PICKS

GOALKEEPER

Robert Sanchez (£5.0m) gets the nod between the sticks ahead of Chelsea’s home match against Fulham on Saturday. The Spaniard has conceded just once in his two matches so far (an effort from 25+ yards, to boot), and given that Marco Silva’s side haven’t really impressed from an attacking perspective this season, a home clean sheet could well be on the cards.

      Elanga 6G 11A in 2500 minutes = 63pts

      Pretty clear which one. On top of that he has created top/great chances this season. Its only cos Gordon's been fluffing them at No 9

    Definitely didn't see Watkins falling, nor expect Palmer too on a red flag; LiveFPL.net certainly didn't either!

    So close to WC to catch a few price swings, this 0.2 would have been the deciding factor! Very annoying!

    On WC right now, have a bunch of spare money.

    Attack is Wood, J Pedro, Ekitike.

    If Isak goes to Liverpool, I was planning to do Ekitike -> Haaland.

          Fair play! The fixtures are prime from 6 onwards but yeah anything can happen. If You got enuf in the bank to get him now I would also consider that, what change would you have to make to just get him in now? Sometimes if other injuries crop up it’s harder down the line to get premiums in than planned

      Why would you dump a striker who's in form?? Ekitike has Burnley and Everton after the IB.
      People are getting way too paranoid over Isak going to Pool. He's had no preseason, he won't be walking straight into the lineup, especially with Ekitike the most in form striker at the minute.

        It's a wildcard, so I'm not really dumping anyone.

        I don't have Ekitike or Haaland, but I want Wood and J Pedro so I have only space for 1 more. I chose Ekitike over Haaland, but honestly I'd like both.

        Haaland is also on form really.

          I have Haaland but would really like to find a way to Ekitike. Man C were great in gw1 but very ordinary last week, so still much to learn over the next couple of weeks.

            Spurs are always a bogey team for Man City, so I wouldn't think Man City are not doing well. It also looks like Spurs are doing really well for some silly reason. They come 16th, then sell their best player (Son, who has already scored in MLS)... but then suddenly they are joint top of the league. I'd be very surprised if it lasts, but maybe they just needed to change stuff around.

            The problem for me is Wood is against West Ham who are dreadful this season, so he's a must have for this week at least. Pedro and Ekitike are both on really good form so have to have them too. Haaland also looking good but you can't have 4 strikers, so he's who I cut. Gyokeres has 4 horrible fixtures so is easy to not pick right now.

            Richarlison is ok, but I don't think he'll keep it up, and I don't think he's better than the previous mentioned strikers (though he's not a bad choice either).

      I went VdV over Porro but only because I already have 3 premium/expensives and I don't want to play him constantly. My 3 'premiums' are Cucurella, Tarkowski and Murillo (banking on DC points). If you get Porro, you gotta play him IMO. I currently have VdV on my bench.

      I'm playing Semenyo and benching Reijnders, but it's a tough call. Semenyo is just on form so I'm playing him.
