Leeds United v Newcastle United rounds off Saturday’s Premier League football.

Kick-off at Elland Road is at 17:30 BST.

Leeds’ line-up shows two changes from Gameweek 2.

Lukas Nmecha and, facing his old club, Sean Longstaff come into the starting XI.

Joel Piroe drops to the bench, while Ao Tanaka is injured.

New signing James Justin is named among the substitutes.

There are some real surprises with the Newcastle line-up.

We knew that Anthony Gordon and Joelinton would miss out through suspension and injury.

But the benching of Anthony Elanga and Harvey Barnes is an eyebrow-raiser.

Jacob Ramsey is handed his full debut, while William Osula makes his first Premier League start for the Magpies.

The recall of Sven Botman hints at a formation change, too.

Jacob Murphy comes in for Elanga, meanwhile.

LINE-UPS

Leeds United XI: Perri, Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Longstaff, Gruev, Stach, James, Nmecha, Gnonto

Subs: Darlow, Justin, Bornauw, Bijol, Harrison, Aaronson, Okafor, Piroe, Calvert-Lewin.

Newcastle United XI: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Livramento, Guimaraes, Tonali, Ramsey, Murphy, Osula.

Subs: Ramsdale, Hall, Lascelles, Thiaw, Krafth, Barnes, Willock, Miley, Elanga.

So Loading up on Spurs, Spurs become Spursy again.
It's like the most surest happening that will always happen.
It's like disease you get only in North London.

Typical, as soon as a team looks good they get humbled, Spurs did it to City and now this

Great to see newly promoted teams being solid and having the good old fashioned home advantage, instead of trying to be prime barca

Have a green arrow finally.. after I start play my own game and dont trust content creators.

Some of them live in the past purely. Bruno this, Bruno that, Salah this Salah that.

In the end, my pick Mbeumo get the maximum bonus points. Not Penandes.

But this can change if Amorim play differently.(As I think he should)

Bruno can be the 10, Mbeumo on the right in 4231.

For the more experienced FPL managers. What is your take on hitting a FH chip during an international break.

Especially with price rises on players who will go up and you are only bringing them in for a week.

Obviously there are other factors like your existing team or how many transfers you have saved etc.

It is just to see what general outcomes you have on a FH during an 2/3 week FPL break ? Does the missing out on perm prise rises damage your value.

I am not sure how much movement on prices there will be in the break, i feel a lot of people probably switch off from FPL when the internationals are on, I don't see it being any different to a normal week and definitely not as crazy as GW1-2 rises.

I am looking at FH myself, triple Liverpool & City, Semenyo my targets.

        Nice feedback Swerve. Thanks

Yes I do notice prise rises are not full on with international breaks. So FH is a good option. I have only ever done a WC in an international with success of catching prise rises.

Even the palace double games coming up you can to the mix for a FH in GW4

Think its only really relevant if your wildcarding, unless there is a particular player you wouldve bought for your actual team going up in price that you cant perma transfer in as you are on fh.
Depends what you value more, team value or points in the short term

    How is this right?

Newcastle play Barca on 18th and Bournemouth on 20th, it’s never usually a 2 day turnaround is it?

Yes In a way CL clubs get alittle more privilege with the extra days rest in between games generally.

PL matches will be subject to change.

Same as Palace for example. European match on the 2nd Oct. Then currently scheduled to play Everton away on the 4th Oct

Considering Bruno is a DefCon monster. On pens and set pieces…
Is he a hold or get rid ASAP?

Was adamant bout getting rid after Burnley but he racked up the DefCon so quick

Well it just means he’s even more likely to get DC points in the harder fixtures

From an FPL prospective & Bruno ownership yes I agree.

He is a hold for me. I was considering selling Bruno after Burnley as well, but the DefCon and bonus points give him such a high floor every match. If he gets a goal or an assist, it's going to be a double-digit haul for one attacking return. I think that plays nicely.

I am also looking to replace Dorgu. In the cheaper price bracket as the 2 you have said, you have Chalomah & Livramento, or for the same price as Dorgu you have Senesi as well. I am kind of leaning towards Livramento as he looks to be getting into decent forward positions and Newcastle look ok at the back and Wolves at home might be a good game for him.

I went double Villa with Rogers and Watkins because I bought into the pre-season hype. I am going to sell one this week. Who is a bigger priority?

If Isak doesn't go to Liverpool, I will do one of the following (or maybe both haha)

    Watkins > Ekitike
    Rogers > Gakpo

    1. Four Letter Wirtz
      • 9 Years

On the Liverpool asets: If Isak does not go to Liverpool by the deadline, Ekitike becomes the obvious choice.

On the Villa ...ehh... "assets": This is an interesting problem. Of the two, I think Watkins is more likely to give decent returns gw4-gw7, but he's also ocupying a valuable forward spot. So I think it depends how badly you want that other striker (Wood, JP, Lord Woldemort, etc.)
