Ismaila Sarr (£6.5m) and Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.5m) have withdrawn from their respective national teams’ squads.

Sarr found the net in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, but was forced off in the second half.

Sarr has subsequently been ruled out of Senegal’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers, having suffered a grade two hamstring tear.

Following the international break, Palace will host Sunderland at Selhurst Park in Gameweek 4.

Strand Larsen has pulled out of the Norway squad, too.

The 3.2%-owned forward missed Gameweek 3, with Vitor Pereira saying on Friday that he was dealing with “small injury problems”.

Pereira had also previously mentioned that he had niggles in his Achilles.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are next in action on Saturday 13 September, when they travel to Newcastle United.

I don’t think anybody owns these players?

About 800,000 people own Sarr. He's the 20th most owned mf out of 327. And about 370,000 own JSL.

Whe you read "...most owned mf..." as an FPL player vs if you read it as Samuel L Jackson...

Just transferred him for GW3 in to avoid price falls of Palmer and Rutter…
Last season I was able to roll transfers at the start of the season, this year’s wave of injuries at the start just makes it impossible.

So is a Grade 2 hamstring tear usually about 4 weeks out?

It was enough to get a yellow card from the referee for "simulation".

        Congrats!

And luckily, we have VAR not interfering with such decisions.

            Loads of options

            Enzo
            Grealish
            Ndiaye

Eze if you have some cash itb?

Eze is a serious contender, just to prepare for GW7 and onwards…
However I might trigger a WC in GW6 or 7 if this goes on. I’ll see what happens when everyone gets back from the international break.

We'll see how he does against Slovenia and Bosnia.

There's bound to be some high profile injuries, for his sake I hope it's not Isak.

Indeed, I asked for Palmer to be injured right away and for Rutter to mysteriously disappear from Brighton’s squad. It’s of course quite normal for multiple high-profile players to pick up injuries at the start of the season.

If on WC.. I’d start with Haaland and Salah. Then gw 6/7.. once Isak has settled in.. downgrade Salah to bring in Isak.
    Thoughts?

      Yes that's my plan.

Salah, Evanilson to Saka, Isak down the line

Early thoughts. Have got a grand total of 5 G/A in the first 3 weeks from my mids +fwds. Is it time to wildcard?

    Sanchez
    Munoz Porro Williams
    Salah Bruno Gakpo Rogers Reijnders
    Gyökeres Watkins

    Dubravka; Esteve, Andersen, Guiu

Definitely time to get rid of Watkins and Rogers, would definitely get in Semenyo and Joao Pedro in their place.

I do not really think it is time. With Elliott and Sancho Watkins will get more lines of supply and Rogers can move towards the middle.

Aston Villa have not scored a single goal in 3, and look absolutely turgid, having been trashed 0-3 against an Eze-less Crystal Palace. What makes you think that there are any positive signs/potential signs of improvement?!

Emery is a good manager, he'll sort it out soon
Its not as if they'll go the whole season without scoring a goal or anything

While it's obvious they will score, it still doesn't make Aston Villa's assets good ones in FPL, especially on the basis of the first 3 matches.

Nobody predicted West Ham winning 3-0 against Forest in an away fixture after their 3-0 and 5-1 loss to sunderland and Chelsea.

Law of averages will do it's magic soon.

      Sensible picks are probably Grealish/Ndiaye

Shame Yeremy Pino has an ankle issue or he'd be a fun pick. Gruda is pretty exciting too, but probably a bit early to go there.

    Morning all,

On WC this week, thoughts on the current draft?

    Vicario
    Munoz / Cucurella / Virgil
    Gakpo / Kudus / Semenyo / Eze
    Haaland / Isak / Muniz

    Dubravka / Dewsbury-Hall / Senesi / Gudmundson

    0.8 ITB

Appreciate Isak unlikely to start first week and will monitor Gakpo's minutes. Would love Pedro in there but would mean needing to downgrade either a premium defender to a 4m, or kudus to king which i think would make the overall squad a fair bit weaker.

    any thoughts?

    WC

    xxxxxxx (Dubravka)
    xxxxxx, xxxxxx, xxxxxx (Rondon, Reinlido)
    Salah, Semenyo, Grealish, Reijnders (King)
    Haaland, Pedro, Mateta

I thought I was set until Sarr injury resulted in switch to Mateta who's 1m more (A with Porro instead of VDV was the plan)

What's my best option now ?

    A) Petrovic, Gabreil, Lacroix, VDV
    B) Raya, Senesi, Lacroix, Porro
    C) Vicario, Gabreil, Guehi, Senesi,

On current info it seems like Vicario for save points with a decent level of CSs v more reliable CSs from Sanchez but few saves. So I dunno.

Think I might go Pope, as Newcastle's defence looks better than Chelsea's. Newcastle's data is very strong, especially when you take into account who they have played. I'm not sure I completely trust Spurs yet...

Thanks both, but I was really only asking because seeing the two names together (and with the same projected total score for the next six Gameweeks according to the RMT tool) reminded me of the tennis player.

    Which option is better?

    A) Watkins & Sarr —> Haaland & KDH (-4) (start Wood)
    Or
    B) Sarr & Guiu —> Mateta & Semenyo (-4) (bench Wood)
    Or
    C) Guiu —> Mateta (free, start Wood, bench Sarr)

After seeing City in these first few weeks, is there any reason not to play Mbuemo at the Ethiad? Surely City will attack and leave the counter attack on.

Play Mbeumo for sure. City's weakness has always been counter attacks. It's why Ole had a winning record against Pep, and why Spurs did well against them. Mbeumo seems to be the main outlet on counter attacks.

Is Grealish able to play against Man City in gw8?

The fixtures are so so anyway.

    Would you go Sarr to

      Shouldn't be.

Wouldn't let fixtures stop you having Grealish. Very motivated to get in World Cup squad. Playing a bit freer like in his last Villa season. Form is good, could still get decent points even if Everton don't get good results.
