With Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) nearing, it’s time to nail down our Scout Picks for the upcoming round of fixtures.

Our in-house team have put their heads together to produce the following selection.

As ever, certain restrictions limit us:

  • An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
  • An overall squad limit of £100.0m
  • No more than three players per team

GAMEWEEK 6 SCOUT PICKS

FPL Gameweek 6 Scout Picks: Man City triple-up 3

GOALKEEPER

Djordje Petrovic (£4.5m) is our chosen goalkeeper after three of our Scout Squad pundits included him in their submissions. The 25-year-old is playing in front of a defence that has proved to be both resolute and organised so far, and could be in line for a fourth clean sheet of the season. Leeds United, meanwhile, are yet to score a goal from open play at Elland Road. They also rank 20th for non-penalty expected goals (NPxG).

Thanks both. I'm on A but unsure. Newcastle don't seem to score many and Gabriel corner threat.

My brain is stuck trying to pick the best combination of Arsenal + Newcastle + City assets:

    A) Raya / Donnarumma / Pope (pick 1)
    B) Gabriel / Gvardiol / Burn (pick 2)

Thinking Pope + Gabriel + Gvardiol because 5.5 on a keeper makes me feel ill

Would you play mitoma ahead of strand larsen given the comments by coach that larsen is still not 100%?

Also talisman palmer, tosin and fofana out in favour of mitoma. Thank you for your help guys

I would play Mitoma ahead of Strand Larsen no matter what.

I don't quite understand the second question, if it's a question.

Don't see much of Jaidon Anthony being suggested here compared to the likes of Reijnders, Ndiaye, Grealish or Kudus. Is he not good?

    1. Mr.K
      • 12 Years
      11 months, 10 days ago

Good is very subjective. He's certainly better than me, but probably not as good as Grealish.

For FPL points one crucial factor is that he plays for Burnley.

Really tempted by a WC in GW8. Allows you to get a Salah Palmer and a Haaland team which Itself will be a good differential as compared to the GW6 WC's.

Just commented on your first post.
      A in my opinion.
This game comes down to whoever gets most minutes and touches the ball most.
The underlying attacking stats of United this year are nuts, they just need the final product. Cunha back is a huge plus.
The argument for Gyokeres is simply that premium forwards are minimal and he could have an uptick in goals/touches now that Saka is back.

Struggling with who to bench this week, current thoughts are below:
    Raya
    Porro, Senesi, Gvardiol
    Semenyo, mbuemo,Doku, Grealish.
    Haaland, Gyokeres, Richarlison.

    Dubravka, Stach, Gudmunson, Andersen.

No sure if I should start Stach and Gudmunson over Senesi and Gyokeres.

    Anyone any thoughts?

Deffo keep Senesi on. I have very low expectations for Gyökeres, but maybe not enough to play Stach instead.

Yehs its a tricky one, see leeds scoring and if stach playing a 10 again could be good but gyokeres poss on pens so undecided haha

        • 1 Year

I think you'd very possibly get 3 or 4 out of Stach, maybe an attacking return. Gyökeres could be 2-9 points, but my money's on the lower end.

Benching Porro for Lacroix. Sound? Rodon's the alternative.

    1. Captain Mal
      • 2 Years
      11 months, 10 days ago

It's tricky. Porro is clearly the best choice, but the risk of the 1-point cameo feels unnecessary when the other guys are almost guaranteed 3-pointers.
It's close between the other two, I'd play Rodon.
Leeds have the higher CS odds, while I don't think it's likely LaCroix's advantages (attacking threat and defcons) amount to anything. Defenders facing Bournemouth tend to get defcons due to their high-intensity playing style and Liverpool are the league's best team in defending set pieces.
