You might have to wait until TM opens it up for entries again, probably sometime after this week's stragglers are eliminated.

"...[it will open] again at selected times during the season to keep numbers down, as admin for the competition is even more time-consuming than it was previously."

        Cheers

Haaland could have saved me by himself
The rest of my team doubled would still be eliminated lol

Some obvious issues in my team but overall not too bad.
Any of these worth a -4?

      1. Gyok in for Watkins.
      2. Raya in for Sanchez (Exact cash).
      3. Something else.
      4. WC.

      Dubravka.
      VVD, Gabriel, Andersen.
      Bruno, Semenyo, Ndiaye, Reijnders.
      Haaland, Watkins, Pedro.
      Sanchez, Williams, Anderson, Esteve.

Nah. I’d consider it if Raya was definitely a transfer I wanted to make and was at risk of being priced out & didn’t want to make other transfers to afford it. But team’s generally looking good and healthy

Feels like a quick bit of karma getting those late Haaland tc goals, as a non Salah this season him getting all those last minute returns was hard to take haha

3FT and 3.4 ITB. So glad I rolled last week and didn't get Bruno or Spurs.

      A - Gakpo > Sarr & roll 2
      B - Other suggestion?

      Raya
      Senesi - Andersen - Livramento
      Gakpo - Semenyo - Grealish - Reijnders
      Haaland - Gyok - Mateta

      Dubrav - Lacroix - Gudmund - Paqueta

Solid team for that many transfers saved at cash too. I like A but triple Palace might be a bit much.
Juno on Gakpo to Saka for a few weeks and then maybe Palmer for Ska in a few weeks?

Is Mateta worth holding? My other strikers are Haaland and Gyok. Alternatives are JP, Thiago. Maybe hold and wait to see if Isak finds any form in the next 2-3?

Agree. I was thinking of selling this week, but when you look at the numbers they're really solid so decided to hold. He has been unlucky in a couple of games.

Yeah if I sell he'll no doubt start hauling immediately and so best to hold given that he's proven and playing for one of gh best sides in the league

      Haaland, Watkins, Wood

Considering we have another WC after the new year, could be worth it to WC depending on the amount of transfers your ideal team would require. Unless you were intentionally saving it for later?

Even though I can see the team being in a decent enough spot in 3 transfers.

Yeah they’ve been a disaster. At least 2 of the NFO boys definitely go this week either way. Tempted to hold Rogers/Watkins for BUR if they remember how to play football later today.

      Who would you prioritise out?
      3FT 1.0M ITB

      Sels Dub
      Cucu Porro Livra Munoz Dorgu
      Semenyo Kudus Reijnders Gakpo Sarr
      Haaland Wood Pedro

For me it's Cucu, Gakpo, Wood to Gabriel, Antony and Gyokeres. Any good?

Not too keen on losing Kudus yet and Dorgu has Sunderland. Both are next to go for me.

I’m still far from sold on Gyok. Gakpo benching today was odd and it only took Slot 45 mins to realize the error. I don’t see him being benched again any time soon. Wood and Cucu should go.

Thoughts on this first draft WC team? Happy to punt on Isak as its easier to take him put than bring him in.

      Raya / Dubravka
Gabriel / Senesi / Van de Ven / Andersen / Rodon
      Sarr / Kudus / Semenyo / Reijnders / Stach
      Haaland / Isak / Gyokeres

I'm on FH7. Currently thinking of having this front 7. Would u replace anyone here? I have Mbuemo on bench so 3.5m to upgrade anyone. Or play Mbeumo over someone?

I do like Sarr but not sure this will really be his kind of fixture. Would like to get Gordon in there - triple Newcastle should be a good differential and Forest looked really poor. No to Mbeumo (don't see why people still want to target Sunderland), yes to Minteh

Worth holding Gakpo for the Many U game based on the fact that Slot brought him on at HT indicating a selection error?

Who knows but for it’s worth I think the front 3 should be
        Salah Isak Ekitike
Which means no starting Gakpo either.
But the experiment with Wirtz in that spot is over and he should just be benched now.

        1. Jet5605
          • 11 Years
          2 months, 8 days ago

I may just ditch Gakpo even with that man united fixture in GW8. Looks like Slot is sharing minutes around regardless of form (Wirtz) and the CL midweek games also make things hard to predict.

Good teams with no Europe midweek look appealing. Ndiaye and Paqueta (if Nuno has an impact) both on pens and no Europe to worry about

Anyone else getting uncomfortable not owning Guehi? He just seems to be a menace in the opposition box and is doing what Lacroix is meant to be doing for the higher price.

Had 3 headers to Lacroix's 2 from set pieces, about the same xG. But he lags significantly tbehind the other 2 CBs for recoveries (47 v 62/63), and the Villa goal was a bit of freak thing & not something I'd base my decisions on. So I think I'm happy with Lacroix still

Lacroix also the bar last week. Had that been a goal he'd have been on many WC6 drafts. Think I'll stand by my convictions with both Lacroix and Mateta who I brought in on WC4. They're quality players and will the deliver points.

For me, 7 or less is a flop, 8-9 is annoying, 10-13 is good, and anything more is great. Of couse he didnt quite match me salah's 29 last year, but people have to remember first that this is single week, and second all the mo salah tcers who got five last week.

Quite surprising that most of the Analytics Elite 64 closed the door on Saka.
                  54 own Raya(84,4%)

                  50 own Gabriel(78,1%)

I almost got him day one, but chickened out due to kluivert injury. Picked him up in 2 or 3, and hes been a baller ever since

No idea. If they buy Semenyo now they basically give those who had him from the beginning a 0,8m edge.

3FT and 3.4 ITB. Is Gakpo the only one that needs shifting? Was set to ditch Paqueta but worth holding in case West Ham get a bounce with Nuno? Saka and Gordon also on my radar if either look good today.

                          A - Gakpo > Sarr/Saka/Gordon & roll 2
                          B - Other suggestion?

                          Raya
                          Senesi - Andersen - Livramento
                          Gakpo - Semenyo - Grealish - Reijnders
                          Haaland - Gyok - Mateta

Yeah think I'll hold Paq for now and monitor his price in case it looks like he'll drop. BRE in GW8 looks good on paper. Leeds in 9 not the worst either

Yeah, although it might not urgent now that he's had his rotation, it went badly for the team, and Chelsea will be fielding a pretty makeshift defence.... But I do fancy getting Gordon next week. Really good run of fixtures (Forest might be the new whipping boys after Wolves' change of shape & West Ham change of manager?) and I think Gordon is the one who can potentially get their attack clicking again

Yeah Gordon is a proven FPL asset and hasn't been overplayed due to his ban. I'm also watching Saka but I just have doubts with his injury record and his ability to play CL and PL games. Gyok being on pens (as Arteta said previously) also puts me off a bit.

An apology - My last 3 Bruno transfers in have been accompanied by either a penalty miss or a sending off. I should have been clearer with my transfer intentions this week and for that I am truly sorry.

With Senesi, unless you want to play those Palace defenders even against e.g. Arsenal (A). Otherwise double just makes your rotations tricky

I own Mbeumo also sadly. He didn’t look great yesterday although he would have had the assist if Bruno scored the penalty. The whole team look so disjointed and not a group in the slightest. Mbeumo will continue to be threatening and get in good positions but it’s whether he can start finishing them and who knows what is happening at the club tbh. Wouldn’t be surprised if they get a new manager very shortly.

Is Minteh on anyone’s radar? Seems to be ticking along nicely and with a decent run of fixtures.

Yeah, just find brighton hard to read. Too many random benchings. However, WC8 will give me plenty of thinking time.

Want one arsenal player next week, who do i go for?

                                              Sels to Raya
                                              Munoz to who
Bruno to who (priced out of saka unless hit)
                                              Ekitike to Gyok

Muñoz plays Everton so maybe keep him for that.

Sels > Raya is fine but Ekitike > Gyokeres has a far higher ceiling so that’s the move.

Maybe the last one but I'm having second thoughts about selling Ekitike this week. Will wait & see what happens in their UCL game but I wonder if he might be good for another start against Chelsea

Should I prioritise Paqueta > Sarr or Wood > Mateta?

Tough call, both would be good. Sarr will rise in price the fastest though and is more essential

So Pool and Man U assets are a big avoid for me until Isak is nailed and banging them in. Man U are an avoid until Amorim has gone and replaced by someone like Glasner.
