Brentford v Liverpool team news: Salah starts, no Isak

A later-than-late Premier League match is still to come: it’s Brentford v Liverpool, which kicks off at 20:00 BST.

TEAM NEWS

Liverpool boss Arne Slot makes three changes from Wednesday’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Slot is forced into two of them, as Alexander Isak and Jeremie Frimpong are injured.

Andrew Robertson also drops to the bench.

Conor Bradley, Milos Kerkez and Mohamed Salah are brought into the side after their midweek absences.

Ryan Gravenberch hasn’t recovered in time, so he misses out again.

The Brentford team news is more straightforward: they’re unchanged from Monday’s win over West Ham United.

    Fellow Bruno and non Mbeumo owners, what are we thinking going forward?

    At this moment in time I’m happy to keep, but if these Mbeumo hauls keep up then i might be forced to make the move.

          Personally I'm aiming for Bruno Mbeumo Semenyo Gakpo Sarr. Though that early Gakpo sub is concerning, may need to give it some thought.

          I think with Delap soon back, and Palmer back after break, Enzo is unlikely to play 10 much anymore. So I'm unsure on him long term. And I'm not hot on Saka, he's very expensive for someone who is more of a creator than a scorer, so I prefer triple Arsenal defence. I think the above 5 mids beat Saka on value.

            Cant really own anyone in Pools attack, except Isak if he actually gets into form. Salah and Isak are going to have first priority every game, leaving the rest to share minutes regardless of form.

                Things can change quickly in football. He's still 4th highest for xGI among mids.

                The one time I went against expected data this season was with Foden and it backfired spectacularly. Blanking in BUR bre EVE. Whereas Mbeumo had strong expected data during his a series of blanks so I stuck with him and it paid off. xG is proven to be a better indicator of future goals than goals, so I'm trusting the expected data from now on. And Gakpo is strong in that regard.

            I'm probably shifting Wolte to Welbeck/Thiago since it lets me get Mbeumo. If the move is not necessary to complete any other moves, then I would not do it.
